Been coming here for years but I’ll be honest the up keep of the pets there is awful compared to other Pet stores I’ve been too. The hamsters and gerbils have small cages with small wheels that they can’t run on. The worst of all, is the little green cheek conure. Poor bird is so neglected. This bird is discounted for sale, and its cage is filthy, its feathers are dull and he looks stressed, only 1 toy. Management needs to do waybetter than this! It’s very upsetting.If I had $500 to spare, I would take this bird home.

This is one of the best Petco places I have ever been to. Rachel knows her stuff and spent a least an hour helping us pick out our New Guinea pigs and what we need to do to help them thrive. She knew her stuff! So incredibly helpful and am loving my new babies!

I’ve been coming here for years now. Mary L was my dog’s groomer, super nice. I don’t know if she left or what but today I gave another groomer my dog. She literally shaved her. I just wanted a clean up. My dog was not even matted, I literally checked and send her there. I went to pick her up and she was all shaved. It’s because of the lazy coworker who did not wanted to brush her. My dog don’t like her hair short but that groomer shaved her and there’s little wounds in her stomach area as well. Please do not go there. They will shave your dog so that they do not have to brush them. They’re lazy, customer service is 0. Never coming back here again.

The petco in Colleyville is a really nice place with friendly and helpful staff.Their grooming department lead by Hannah is exceptional. Hannah has been grooming my beagle for three years now and goes above and beyond every time.

I recently adopted a Venezuelan green bottle blue tarantula for my son for Christmas. I still have the heebie jeebies but James, Emily, and Ryan have been EXTREMELY helpful and continue to put up with and put my nerves at ease. My son was super excited, but I know the hard work lands on me. I will ONLY call this location for advice. They’re blessings! Thank you so much!!!!

Every single time I purchase wax worms from Petco, they're all dead within 24 hours. It's ridiculous. They also don't keep their poor conure's cage clean at this location. It's heartbreaking .The staff is normally pretty friendly, floors always look clean.

Very disappointed with the service. Brought my dog to get the nails trim,buff and did the Fanny package. The hair was not removed from the private and no trimming by the side of the paws only removed under!! I had to ask to removed hair from around his private and even complained to the manager and the response was that the service was performed. This was my first time at this location and do not recommend.

They have four or five ferrets in a small pen. If I owned a pet store I'd figure out a way to prevent it from looking like a prison. And the canned responses from the owner let you know these poor animas have chnce. A ferret is hyper sentient like a dog or a cat. They shouldn't be kept in a prison.

I've had a really wonderful experience with dog training classes at this Petco location, thanks to our fantastic trainer (River F.) who has been a real wealth of knowledge, experience, patience, and of course treats. Not only did my new puppy learn a lot of new skills and eventually pass his Canine Good Citizen test, but we also had a ton of fun each week socializing with other people and dogs. We completed both the Puppy and Fundamentals classes so far and I imagine we might be back for more later!

Always have a great experience here. Staff is knowledgeable, store is clean and well stocked. Big box chain pet stores can be a gamble, but the staff here seems to truly care.

I paid $22.72 for a nail trim and buff today. I watched the apprentice, Brian, try to cut my dogs nails. I wanted to go rescue him but the Grooming manager, Hannah,assured me my dog is fine. My dog was back there 20 minutes being traumatized. The results were so bad I went to the front for a refund.They were really nice and gave me a full refund and said they would talk to Eric the store manager.Shame on Hannah for not supervising an apprentice better. These are our fur babies!!

My dogs (Roxy and Remi) recently were groomed by Mary. My dogs were shaved uneven and extremely choppy. I would not trust my dogs grooming with Petco. I escalated my issue to the manager and nothing was done to rectify the issue. Extremely disappointed with the service

They have a good variety of reptiles, fish and rodents, as well as a small selection of birds. There is a very large selection of habitat decorations for both reptiles and fish as well. The dog and cat toys and food have a decent variety, and they have their own standards that pet food must meet in order to be sold in their stores! The staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable!

Location is prime. Variety options for the cat food brand I like is not consistent. It's hit or miss.Customer service needs improvement, or at best a separate line for their plan "pitch". Countless times I have to wait for them to make that pitch to customers and they don't have but one register open. Today it was the older man who kept me waiting and he knew I was waiting and yet he still took extra time to tell the customer he was talking to all about his scar while I still waitedReally!? No. I left and left the products there and I doubt I'll be back soon!!

Lauren is THE BEST GROOMER.. she not only does a great job on my 6 and a half month old puppy but she calms my anxiety because my puppy loses her mind when she has to come and get a bath and a haircut but Lauren is so patient with her and does a great job!

I came into this Petco in a panic near closing time because my dog was no longer putting any weight on his leg and it being a Saturday, I couldn’t get him into his vet until Monday. Rachel and the rest of the staff went above and beyond to help me and make me feel better in an already stressful situation. Rachel picked out medications that she had knowledge on and knew would help him, and the rest of the staff helped us find said medications. I cannot thank Rachel and the rest of the staff there tonight enough for their help, they definitely made myself and my pup feel better! Thank you again!

Petco, you suck so hard I don't know how your business is still viable.Horrible customer service & please don't go here expecting a good grooming for your dog, because if you complain at all, they'll promise you a free groom, but then not let you book it or return your email.It's like you want Petsmart to dominate you,& they certainly do. Just give up & lock the doors, you know you want to.

Very smooth visit. We picked up some of those treats by the register. I didn't know how they were sold. So I grabbed a mixture. Just a few for test. And the guy offered to just give us some for free.Very clean and very friendly staff.

Went to the Petco at 4801 Colleyville Blvd in Colleyville Texas and was absolutely amazed by the service we received. Steven was working the front cashier space and he made the experience for me, my wife, and I assume the group who cashed out in front of us who he also gave amazing and personal service.We have a brand new Doberman puppy and we’re nervous to bring him out in public and Steven made us feel so warm and welcomed!Of course, food and toy selection was amazing as well and we left with a full cart!!

I take back all I said about fish ( only fish because the store has a really good selection of other things people actually need aside from live animals) in my below review from a week ago. The fish I speak of in the review was still there, on the floor, still ill. This time and the last time (after the below review) I visited there were more ill bettas. So much for 'treating' them. This time I was helped by a girl who is a fellow aquarist, I regret not getting her name. Thank GOD this store has her, that's all I can say. I was able to hold an intelligent conversation with her on bettas and the fish hobby in general. She informed said betta had been there forTHREEMONTHSAnd instead of giving a discount for somebody who could actually treat the fish and help save his life, they continue to put him on the floor at full price knowing very well that nobody is going to buy a sick fish except somebody who knows how to treat him and feels sorry for him. Is this a LIFE we are discussing, or an object? Lucky for both Petco in the fish I have a heart so I bought him even tho buying him only allows Petco to fill his spot with more fish. I know there is no stopping big chain stores but regardless they need to reevaluate their fish care. The girl was very sweet and deserves either a big raise or a job where she doesn't have to witness these poor fish suffer.If you see this, girl whose name I didn't get, keep spreading CORRECT fish info as a good aquarist needs to. Little Shesha is glad you convinced me to buy him.Original review: Pretty good looking petcoconsidering they tend to be pretty sketchy. Wonderful selection for pet food and goodies. I went over the weekend for dog food and to eyeball the bettas. When I spotted an ill plakat on his side I immediately tried to get a discount on the sick fellow but the manager insisted they treat their illnesses in store and removed him from the floor. No fish hobbyist has real respect for any chain store's treatment of their fish, so I can only hope she was telling the truth and that fish didn't go to "the back" to die.

I originally asked for a bath and cut. When I got back to pick up my pet, they only did the bath. Then I asked if they could take him back and cut him. When he came back out, I saw zero difference… And they made me pay over $100 when the bath by itself was only $69.99. Just for him to come out a second time and I saw no physical difference from when he came out from receiving only a bath. I just paid and left at that point because maybe they didn’t know how to do what I asked. I think they overcharged me for the job 100%. We normally go to a private groomer, but she was booked solid. Maybe my expectations were just too high. I didn’t mind the price I paid, it was the fact that I paid that price and did not receive what I asked for.

I'm trying to adopt a ferret. Do y'all have only males or do y'all have females too? This store is awesome I went a few days ago and I loved that I got to hold a ferret. They are so cute.
