I was nervous about grooming Lucy (Shih Tzu/Chihuahua mix) professionally because she is an extremely anxious dog who yelps and bites at scissors. I was paying over double for several years at the vet to get a sanitary shave and nail trim. The vet suggested giving Petco Grooming a try. I was skeptical because of old online reviews, but I am so happy I did. Alexis is the main groomer there who is extremely patient, kind, and loving to pets. She worked with Lucy slowly and patiently to bathe her, trim her fur, clip her nails, and brush her teeth. She did such a wonderful job! As long as Alexis is there, I will continue to take my anxious Lucy to Petco Grooming!Recently, I took my new pup, Remi (Yorkie) to Petco Grooming with Alexis again and she did a fantastic job with him, too. I cannot express how grateful I am to have found Alexis. I have tried taking my little Pickle Monster to a lot of places in the past with poor results because she just flat out didn't like the groomers. I keep bringing her back here because she absolutely loves the groomers. When I get her out of the car and she realizes where she is, her ears perk up and she gets a little skip in her step. Thank you for giving her such a great experience every time she visits!

Great experience. Would highly suggest Alexis to any one looking for grooming that has a friendly but anxious dog. I took my dog in for a groom and bath, fully expecting to take my dog home with untrimmed feet (hair and nails). I have been unable to cut my dogs nails and trim his feet for the last year now, it has also not been able to be done at the vet (with anti anxiety medications, oral and injectable) unless he was fully sedated. When I saw Alexis trimming my dog’s nails with ease and very minimal restraint, I was amazed. I will for sure be back to this location and recommend them to everyone. The entire experience was great start to finish.

Our dog has anxiety, and we're used to groomers at this location responsibly discontinuing a nail trim because our little dog is distressed. We were prepared for that but today, a groomer (Brooke) chose to ignore her pain and continue anyway.She showed no interest in Bea from the very start, and then ignored our poor dog as she yelped and screamed, fought back and bit at the chain holding her. She chose not to mention any of this, so it's a good job we saw it. You may hope that for the distress caused, at least the job was done - but no! The nails are sharp and the were not buffed (despite us paying for this), as they have splits and straggly sharp bits that should have been removed. I asked Brooke some basic questions when we got Bea back from her, that she couldn't answer e.g. the curling of some nails (which we know about), whether she should see a vet next time etc. to see if she would give honest answers. She didn't, shrugged them off and clearly does not have the care or the competence to be grooming dogs.Bea is extremely distressed and scared now, several hours later, and is not responsive to us as normal. She is clearly in shock. Do not bring your dogs to Brooke, she will harm them.

The past week my dog has been distressed because of the experience that she had here. She was not treated with care and respect and was instead forced to endure an unprofessional and dangerous grooming by Brooke. Her personality has completely changed in the days since, she is skittish, afraid, hesitant, and barking at even the slightest disturbance. Seeing my dog changed by the terrible events that occurred at this groomer has forever scarred both of us. To be treated so poorly by a company that claims that they put "pets' unique health and wellness needs first" is a disgrace.

We took our 8 lb, short-haired dog into PetCo in College Station for a 1:00 appointment on 9/26/20. They told us it would take 3 1/2-4 hours. This service normally takes 2 1/2 hours. Our pup was there for FIVE hours--most of the time locked in a cage waiting! When I picked her up, I asked why it took so long. There was a litany of excuses--"we were really busy"; "you were early for your appointment"; "appointments aren't for a specific time, but for a time range". There was no apology, no acceptance of accountability. Very unprofessional. In addition, we have been turned away several times recently when bringing our dog in for nail clipping. We have taken our dogs to PetCo for years, but this recent change in practice is unacceptable to us, and we will be looking for another groomer. The two stars were for a good haircut.

They were really nice with my dog. The only thing I have to complain about is that they said it'd take around 3 to 4 hours, and it took 6 hours. Another thing is that aesthetically his haircut was a little bit weird. But, it's not something that would make me avoid returning because he's agitated and they handled well with him.

I was able to get an appointment within a reasonable length of time. Staff were able to get my dog from my car and return her to my car so I did not have to enter the store. The cut was excellent, especially a great length for my dog's claws. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Very helpful staff, nice selection of fish and clean tanks. I also love how the manager chooses to display "bundles" for aquariums and habitat setups. It convinced me to buy another fish tank 😂

EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU GO TO SCHEDULE THEY TURN AROUND AND CANCEL BECAUSE THEY DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH STAFFING. THE POOR GIRL WHO IS TRYING HER BEST TO GROOM THESE DOGS IS DOING IT BY HERSELF AND SOUNDS AS IF SHES OVERWORKED. WHAT KIND OF ESTABLISHMENT DOESNT CORRECTLY STAFF ITS GROOMING DEPARTMENT THESE ARE DOGS THAT DESERVE CORRECT CARE AND SERVICE PEOPLE ARE TRUSTING YOU WITH THERE FURRY LITTLE FRIENDS LIVES. 3 TIMES THEY HAVE CANCELLED ON ME. THE YOUNG LADY STATED THEY HAVE BEEN STRUGGLING SINCE DECEMBER BUT THE COMPANY HAS YET TO STEP IN AND GET THEM HELP. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!!
