I visited Petco for the 1st time this past weekend to have my dog groomed and it was a beginning to end great experience. I called on Thursday, got in on that Saturday, the groomer did an awesome job, it only took a couple hours and after tax and a tip I got out of there for under $65! Happy pet and happy owner... LOL

Ian and Kinley were super helpful with recommendations for setting up a new fish tank with plants. They went out of their way to provide resources on “how to” videos for it to be successful! I really appreciate their excellent customer service and knowledge!

Alexis did an AMAZING EXCELLENT job on our doodle. Chester has HIGH anxiety and can’t be caged . She worked with us and got him done and we picked him up IMMEDIATELY.

I believe the man who helped us was Erin or Eric but he was absolutely ahhhmazing! He helped us with all our questions and was super polite and handled our cranky toddler very well. I love this Petco very much and our vet is phenomenal!

UPDATE: MISTAKES HAPPEN!!On March 2, 2024, I came in purchasing 5 dog vests, toys, and snacks costing me $429.63. One of the vests was too small and needed exchanged, so on March 8, I returned a second time returning one small and purchased two more vests (medium and large) vests (costing $57.36 w/return). The same person checked me out on both days (March 2 and March 8, 2024). They only had one Large and one Medium left, so I bought both, saying I would have to return the one that doesn't fit on a 3rd visit in the near future.On the second visit, I told the saleslady that I needed to put in my Petco account before she rang me up, noting she was the one who checked me out the week before and no one asked me for my Petco Rewards for my $429.63 purchase days earlier.I am chronically ill, and medically disabled Veteran, and must drive 80 minutes one way to the store from home. So I don't get out much. Having 5 dogs my Petco Rewards would be important to me.The employees inside the store were very nice and extremely helpful with my first purchase, despite the busy store and lengthy lines. My visit was very fast and friendly, although she didn't offer my Petco Rewards with my $429.63 purchase. On my 2nd visit, she allowed me to enter my phone number for my Petco membership, my receipt confirming she didn't put in my membership for the larger first visit. I reminded her she was the same person on both visits. She apologized, saying I would have to put it in online. I told her I didn't have a computer or regular internet, living so far out in the country, thus didn't do anything online. She said there was no other way to fix this.To error is human, and to forgive divine. I'm sure it was a sincere mistake although cash rewards due to Petco employees cost money out of my pocket. I feel although a sincere mistake, feel the company does owe me from Petco Rewards NOT being entered or for the employee not asking or putting in my number.Thank you for your assistance. Everyone was so nice and helpful to find the vests and bully leashes. I would only ask employees to ask customers if they are a Petco Rewards member at checkout, and assist them in getting credit they were supposed to get in the first place.

Wouldn’t let me and my little sister buy any fish. He continued telling me it was my money and wouldn’t let me purchase even the smallest fish and he kept on telling me to buy the biggest tank package deal 20% off for $70. I proceeded to get the 3rd biggest $40 tank for the smallest fish to fit. He said he was still uncomfortable I would not want to sell. We waited for the manager to come because I told him I felt comfortable and wanted to still purchase. He denied me purchase several times and claimed he was an aqua specialist and could not let purchase happen. We waited for the manager and finally decided to leave and spend our money elsewhere. Ridiculous. Save your time and money and go to pet smart like we did. They take way better care of their animals overall ❤️

I was very disappointed with my pups grooming today. I dropped them off for a 11 appointment. 2 small pups under 7 lbs. I felt they were over priced for their service and upon getting them home noticed random hairs all over both of them. Their due claws hadn’t been trimmed and they hadn’t even washed their eyes and faces. When I dropped them off I told them I had a 2:00 appt. They said no problem. Well I missed my appointment and they weren’t finished until 2:45. I won’t return! So disappointed!

The staff was incredibly friendly! They were out of the specific item I went in for, but I got a smaller size and I really didn't mind - selling out is a good thing! My cashier was Diana and she was super friendly and had some fun facts about ferrets that made the checkout process really enjoyable while getting my ferret food. I went home and shared those facts around, I couldn't help it!

The cashier was unable to figure out the coupon. He called Tori 3x over the radio for assistance. She'd answer the radio but did not give him any advice or come to the front at all! When she did finally show up, she denied even answering the radio when I could clearly hear her answering to the name Tori over the radio. Horrible customer service! Again, this was not the cashier's fault. He only asked for assistance for a $27 coupon and Tori refused to help.

I had a great experience! It seems like they are understaffed and over worked. But from my experience Matt was very knowledgeable and helpful. He showed me the best foods to feed my cat and showed it to me in a fast manner.

This store is always packed with boxes, rolling carts of boxes, it is difficult to navigate and always seems to be in a state of dis-array. When we moved to CS/Bryan in 2021 I thought the store was in the middle of renovations, but it has been this way for 2 years now. Please have them take store management classes from the Amarillo store location as they are worlds apart from the nice store in Amarillo we were used to. We normally shop at Petsmart now due to this store's a-bismal service and complete disorder, only stopping in if we happen to be at another store next door. Service is less than exceptional, and usually takes a while to get crickets if they even have them -- we have been rudely treated in the past when they were out of crickets. Sorry to say Petco in College Station is a last resort or only if extremely convenient.

Took my dog two times there in college station, love the freindness, would like his fur drier, when I pick him up .And for price thought I'd get a handkerchief for him🙄A little pricey, think they should ask you what grooming care you want for animal first .To make sure no communication issues.Would be better for customers .😏

Been to other pet stores in the BCS area. Also pet stores in Belton, Houston, and Austin...trying to search for the best pet store. What this Petco has that the others don't and why I will keep shopping at this Petco only is Adrian. The amount of information, advice, care, attention, and patience he gives is unparalleled. Thanks so much!! Will be heading to you all tomorrow for my 2nd fish tank : D

Over the past few months, we have been in and out of Petco trying to determine how to get started with an aquarium for our little one. We wanted something that was rather simple to care for and was visually appealing for our son, who enjoys watching fish swim around. Mel, the aquatics supervisor at the Petco located off Texas Avenue in College Station, has been so helpful in our selections. Each interaction involved a different aspect; tank size, fish type and quantity per tank, filtration and lighting, plants, water testing, and monitoring the levels. She's shared her own personal experiences and advice she's learned from working with other professionals, which was extremely useful in making our decisions. We've come to see Mel as more of a friend versus a Petco associate and look forward to visiting with her every time we go in! Would highly recommend going to see her for ALL of your aquatic needs!!

Alexis was so great with my girl! I wasn’t satisfied the when I picked her up, but to be fair we came in earlier than expected to pick her up for an emergency. She let us bring her back in the next morning to fix her up and she did exactly what I wanted. I can never find a good poodle groomer due to difficulty of their coat but she did amazing for my girls summer cut. I can’t wait to bring her back.

There is no one around hardly to help you find anything. Also, at the register she asked if I was helped and I said no, then she didn't even acknowledge it. After, she said I would have to pay 10 cents to put my merchandise in a bag??? This is ridiculous! Also, your live turtles only have one light on them, they are supposed to have 1 UVA and UVB. Without it, your turtles will get sick. If you are now charging for plastic bags, then your company should definitely be able to afford it.

I like Petco, just don't like their stores. They usually have better prices than PetSmart, and their sales prices are comparable to chewy. The stores are cramped, difficult to move around in.

Brought my dog second Yorkie to you guys first one was Chewbacca this one's new one is pup pup and you guys are very friendly and I love that it's very close to my home so I don't have to really worry about the care of my baby in the safety of where he is love the place thank you for you guys' services bringing him back for grooming next

I needed a haircut for my pup because his hair was getting long and the heat was starting to really come down on the state of TX, so I ended up booking an appointment with Petco… all seemed really great, the associate even confirmed that my yorkie was getting a teddy bear cut… to my surprise I saw a dog I barely recognized. They did a fair job on his body but on his face… he looks quite emaciated… definitely not the haircut I expected… at least hair grows back so I’m not upset but I think there may have been a miscommunication between the woman who was describing the cut and what she told the woman who was actually cutting my dog.

Could not get help with the fish. Waited over thirty minutes and asked for help multiple times, we were told we would be helped but all of the employees standing around could not provide assistance apparently. Eventually ended up leaving without fish.

We purchased a bearded dragon for my daughter for Christmas and the service was excellent. They didn’t have the set up for the terrarium and called around and found one for us. Jordan answered all of my 1 million questions with great knowledge!!

It was a really TERRIBLE experience. I took my puppy for grooming today. When I picked her up, they never told me that they cut her nails too much to make it bloody until my puppy scratched the door, the wound reopen again. They just called that COMMON. My puppy cried all the way home. No eat! No drink! No happy anymore!

No staff to help you, yall are selling cones for $19.99 when the vet sells them for $7 and the ones yall sell are EXTREMELY hard to put on, whereas the vet ones have velcro and super easy
