Dr. Holter and her team have been so helpful with my girl Demi, she had to have a mass removal and we did her spay at the same time. Any time I have had a question or concern during after care they have guided me through it, as well as answering me on their day off on how to care for my girl when she decided to scratch her suture open. I can thank or recommend this office more.

BVAH boarded my and my girlfriend’s cat while we went out of town for the weekend - they took great care of him, made sure he ate his food and had blankets and treats, and gave him his medication all 3 days. They gave us daily updates in morning and evening . The process was such a breeze and the price was very reasonable. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend boarding your pet here if you ever need to, they are clearly animal lovers and will take great care of them. They are good people!Thank you BVAH/PR !!!

I can’t thank Dr. Holter enough for treating my little Winnie yesterday. I was hesitant in flea and tick treatment after reading negative things online but after dealing with fleas for some time now and trying to do it naturally with no luck, I knew something had to be done. Dr. Holter reassured me and made me feel more comfortable to give to her and my other 2 babies. My dogs and cat are happy and are currently becoming flea free!!

Absolutely great care for our puppy and kitten. Both of them came from the Humane Society with parasites. Our poor kitten was especially ill. However, the Brazos Valley Animal Hospital did an outstanding job diagnosing the issues and identifying the right treatments. Our pets are now healthy and thriving thanks to the great care from the doctors and staff.Update: Still consistently great care. My best evidence is the amount of tail wagging from my dog when we walked through the door. I couldn't believe that she was so happy to be at the vet. The staff provided punctual, efficient, and very compassionate care. Our dog is happy and up to date on her vaccines.

Dr. Holter and her team are AMAZING. I work a lot and don’t like leave my boys alone all day. I have taken my dogs to day care several times and even had them boarded for a weekend. It was my first time boarding my dogs, so I was a little nervous but I was updated several times and was even sent several pictures of my boys.My dogs run inside the door every time they realize we are at Dr. Holter’s office.Highly recommend!

My two dogs are my babies. I move around a lot for work and full-time in a Motorhome. We’ve been in BCS for about 7 months now and this is the third vet and boarder we have tried out. They are a perfect fit! I literally have no worries when I have to leave town for quick work trips and the babies have to stay behind. I get picture updates all day showing how they’re getting along and they spoil them both rotten! It’s so convenient to be able to schedule wellness checks and medical appts for them while boarding as well! Just overall an amazing experience!! Thor & Annie love their time at BVAH and we love being able to stay stress free and know that they’re in fantastic hands!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I can't say enough good words about the Brazos Valley Animal Hospital. I brought my new adopted rescue lab/pitbull mix in this morning and Dr. Stocks and her staff could not have been more delightful, compassionate and helpful throughout the visit. My dog is very shy still and is just getting around to opening up to others - she immediately took to the staff and Dr. Stocks. They were patient with my dog and let everything happen at my dogs pace. I was almost brought to tears.I also felt very comfortable here as it was clean and everyone was friendly.I am so happy I chose to bring my dog here and know I have found a Vet for the lifetime of my dog!

I boarded My dog here for 3 nights. The first 36 hrs being there she was very shy and timid and even displaying some behaviors that she had not previously exhibited, but the girls were so patient with her. They sent me pictures every day with updates and were available to answer questions when I sent text messages. My dog needed to see the dr anyway and the vet was able to examine her while she was there boarding which I found very convenient. Likewise the locations proximity to my home was nice and the price was comparable to all the local boarders.

We recently boarded our senior dog at Brazos Valley Animal Hospital. She started out having a few rough days but Natalie and Jessica kept us informed of every detail. They both did an amazing job taking care of all her needs.We could tell she was very well cared for and loved in our absence. We boarded our pitbull here for 3 nights / 4 days. They were able to update him on his vaccines the day of drop off. Each day we received at least 1 super cute photo of our baby.11/10 would highly recommend. The rates were affordable, too!

Our family doggies have suffered here with grooming. We trusted in Mary but there’s new staff (apprentices) that do not do a good job. There’s also no proof or reassurance that professionals do their job as it should. My dog suffered a horrible laceration that took 2 weeks to heal. He couldn’t walk, move, or sleep. He has pain medication and ointment with antibiotics to stop the spread of an infection.Their solution: “dogs move”

Dr. Stocks has been great during our appointments for our senior pup. She is super informative and thorough in her explanations about care suggestions and next steps. I came into our first appointment having seen a previous vet and she was able to take all previous records, review them, and make decisions on how to move forward. This is my second time with a senior pet visiting Brazos Valley Animal Hospital and they have been great every-time. I appreciate the educational and informative conversations and the patience they show when explaining tougher topics.

My dog was treated at Brazos Valley Animal Hospital during the last few years of his life. I have nothing but positive things to say about this place. They are very easy to communicate with and every person I dealt with seems to genuinely care about animals. Prices are also reasonable. I highly recommend this place.

Horrible ServiceMy 3 dogs have been visiting this place for grooming for more than a year. However, I’ll stop doing so.With each of my 3 dogs, there’s been a problem and there solution is that “dogs move” or that had their fur “tangled.”Before the apprentices started to show up, Mary was doing everything fine and no excuses were given either.One of my dogs, Max, suffered from a cut in the ear and it was visible. This happened in November 2020. Maggie, another of my dogs, suffered from a horrible, uneven haircut in May 2021. Max again suffered from laceration and irritation on his tail.I lost trust in them.

Our Golden Retriever, Wesley, has been coming here since we brought him home! Both Dr. Stocks and Dr. Holter are amazing. He attends daycare almost every week and absolutely loves it. He can’t wait to get in the car every time he hears “daycare”! We have also boarded him here as well and trust the girls so much. You can really tell they care about your pets. Wesley is pretty high energy and they love him SO well! I recommend this place to all my friends.

The staff at BVAH provides great care for our dog and cat. They are very thorough and take the time to answer all of our questions. When we apopted our pup and kitten, they both had severe parasites. BVAH nursed them back to health and today they are thriving. The staff is always very friendly and helpful.

Dr. Holter and her staff are fantastic. I had to admit my dog to an out of town emergency room for 1 night, and Dr. Holter was able to work him in the next day for evaluation once we returned home. Everyone was very kind and efficient throughout the process from the first call, scheduling, the appointment itself, and then later picking up at closing time. I was having a particularly difficult day as I discovered that my pet rabbit of 9.5 years had died when we were away (yes, we had someone checking on him regularly). It was quite a stressful situation dealing with a very sick dog and the loss of a beloved bunny. I particularly want to shout out Milena- she was such a kind, patient, and thoughtful technician and took such good care of all of us. It is obvious that everyone at Brazos Valley Animal Hospital loves animals, and I will always recommend their care to anyone who asks!

Dr. Holter and her staff have been amazing to work with from day one! I have an adult dog that was having an issue and they got me in the same day to make sure she was taken care of quickly. Then, once we got our puppy I've been bringing her in for vaccinations and each time I come in or call, i have nothing but easy great experiences! I appreciate how well they treat my pets and care about the animals they take care of. I'm so glad I found this vet and look forward to being with them for a long time!

This is the best Vet ever and I am taking both of my dogs here now. I had the worst service at South 40 vet I could go on and on about the worst service I got and over priced cost. Brazos Valley really cares about your pet and does not cost you a fortune. Trust this Vet Dr. Holter is the best.

I absolutely love this place and do does my dog Mason. They got 5 stars for sending me updates via texts. I even get photos which are absolutely stunning. Some I've even framed and put on my walls. Last time my dog was there he was washed and he smelled great for at least a week. I was very impressed.My only wish is that they opened a little earlier for drop off so that I can still get to work on time but maybe it'll happen in the future. In the meantime I'll be happy to be a few minutes late so that Mason can have a great time and be lovedUPDATE (3/2022): still the best place to take your dog for boarding/daycare. Still wish they opened a little earlier to drop off but overall love this place!

My cat was nonstop scratching her ears and I woke up the next morning and they were bleeding! Some of my fellow pre-vet students had recommended this place to me so I called to make an appointment and they got me in the same day. The pet hospital itself was very nice, bright, and clean. The staff were incredibly sweet and informative. It’s obvious they deeply care about animals. My kitty can be shy around new people, especially vets, but at the end she wasn’t even trying to hide and was asking for pets from the nurses and vets! The bill was also MUCH cheaper than expected. All in all a great experience and I think I will be taking my kitty here from now on.

The staff are some of the most polite and professional people I’ve ever experienced!! They genuinely seem to enjoy their jobs and made our nervous dog feel calm and loved. Can't say enough good things about Dr. Holter and staff! They took such good care of my kitty. My cat isn't the friendliest with strangers, but the staff was patient with her and very caring. My cat had to be hospitalized overnight, and I was really impressed with the care she received while there as well as the after-care. Would highly recommend Brazos Valley Animal Hospital to anyone needing care for their pet!
