So far, so good it's a cozy but roomy clean cafe. The server is a trip and does a great job making you feel welcome. The unsweetened tea is good. I ordered the chicken fried steak with brown gravey on the mash and white on the steak, green beans, and roll. 😋 It was on a short wait for the piping hot food to arrive at the table. It was all delicious. I did add salt and pepper.Kid-friendliness: I see kids eating!

Travelling I-20 west, tummy started growling so thought we'd give it a shot. Holy Smokes! The food is amazing. Best fried catfish and shrimp I've tasted in a long time. Chicken fried steak and steak fingers were on point. And to top it off, the staff was super friendly and the atmosphere was warm and cozy.

Best burger I've had in like forever. Forgot to take pic cause so hungry and I dug into it when it got to the table. Last Friday I had there all you can eat fish and shrimp. I'm a big guy and it filled me up. Pics of fish below and had all ready started eating before I remember to take pic. Try it if you haven't, you will enjoy it.

Great hometown cooking but the servers could be dressed a little more appropriately, in my opinion. A tank top and short shorts (especially when you don’t have the body for it) is not attractive. I know it’s close to the oil field and maybe you get attention from all the men in the oilfield but geez, I would suggest some dignity honestly. And then there’s the ones that look like they just got out of bed to come to work and haven’t even combed their hair. This place could use some good old fashioned pride.

Good healthy portion of chicken fried steak. Great flavor. I enjoyed my breakfast. Unfortunately I'm here during prep time for the lunch crowd so she didn't keep up with my drink. 1 cup of coffee throughout my wait for food on table and almost finished eating before I got my second cup. Otherwise it would have been 5 ☆.

A small town diner with big country flavor.I had a bacon and cheese omelette, hash browns, toast, and for desert a half order of French toast. Everything was delicious and modestly priced. I really enjoyed my visit

Had a party of 8 and paid about $130. Not bad at all, and for the price the food was amazing. One can nitpick about slow service and the fries being a little floppy. But the main course completely made up for it. The chicken was amazing clean and juicy. I had the "Mad pitbull" (Jal burger) the burger was awesome, good and juicy. If you've got time, it's definitely worth a stop.

Love the food and staff at this place. Their burgers are amazing. The only thing i would change is the gross carpet in the dining area. Not very sanitary.

I usually don’t give 5 stars on places while I’m traveling, due to the fact I pick odd places to eat, but this was pretty good! I was greeted quickly and I got to pick where I sat. The man who served me was very polite and was overall a great guy to talk to. Food was better than expected and very quickly brought out to me. If you are traveling in the area around lunch or dinner, I’d recommend going to this place.
