We travel from Colorado to Texas several times a year and always stay at the Red River, Best Western, inn in Clarendon.When I made reservations for our most current trip, using our rewards points, I mistakenly selected a non-pet friendly room.Because I used my reward points it made it more difficult to change the reservation.Thanks to Terry and Steve, the reservation was changed on our arrival.I highly recommend a visit. Their staff is always friendly and professional. And, the rooms are clean and comfortable.Great job!

Everyone has been super nice and helpful. Great attitude and positivity throughout.They have gone above and beyond while having super clean rooms and housekeeping does an amazing job.They even left this awesome note on the desk for whomever uses the room. Took a picture so everyone could enjoy.

Stayed in Dec 2023. The lobby was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Staff is friendly and makes you feel at home. Definately recommend this hotel if you are in the area. So glad we stayed here. There are plenty of lights in the parking areas. Security cameras. Had a variety for breakfast. If in this area again will adjust the route to stay at this hotel.Rooms: Plenty of space, clean, and comfortable beds.Safety: Security cameras and lighted parking lots.

Enjoy staying here each time we pass thru town. Very clean hotel with nice rooms. They had the lobby decorated for fall and it was lovely. The hotel is decorated nicely and has a home feeling. Breakfast was great and staff is always friendly. It has a large parking lot next too it for trailer parking which is nice so you don't have to take up the regular parking lot. We have arrived after dark & never felt unsafe using the trailer parking lot. There is even a sidewalk that leads to the back door of the hotel from this parking lot and good lighting. We will continue to stay here!

I did not stay at this hotel but I did have an interaction with the owner. He was rude and unpleasant regarding the parking situation in his lot. His request to move some large vehicles belonging to hotel guests around to the auxiliary lot was a totally reasonable request. However the manner and the tone with which he approached me to demand me to move the vehicles was unacceptable. I will never stay here and cannot recommend anyone else stay here with an owner that has this kind of attitude when dealing with his guests.

This is a FANTASTIC hotel!!! We normally don't choose Best Western as their properties can vary greatly, but we loved everything about this hotel!!Clean, comfortable, professional, breakfast was great and the parking lot is top notch with great lighting!!It's obvious the owners and staff take pride in their property. Bravo!!We will make future travel plans with this hotel in mind.Shout out to Makayla, she was awesome!!

The room was good and all but had awkward light switch positions, and the service was ok. But I kept hearing strange noises at night, it creeped me out, along with the fact they gave me the wrong keycard, and I could hear weird noises from the vents, and sometimes a metallic ringing of sorts?Safety: I didn’t feel too safe in my room.

Stayed there on my way to Angel Fire. Kids enjoyed fresh pancakes and omelet, breakfast was really good. They have books for kids as well in the lobby. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable and clean (although you can see some dust behind furniture, but that's pretty much industry standard).I booked through their own website.Overall was great stay, would definitely recommend if you are in the area.

We loved the location, the service, and the cleanliness. It was a halfway point for us on our trip to Colorado, and we felt safe enough to park our camper in their large lot. They also had a nice indoor pool and nice laundry. Win-win when you are on a long trip.Nearby activities: Can walk to the Sonic next door. Helps when you've been on the road all day.Safety: Very safe area.

Stayed here 3 times. On third time in room 319 found evidence of bed bugs when first checked in. They moved me to opposite side of hotel and it’s ok now. Too bad otherwise a great hotel. Good parking for trailers. Great service and very friendly staff. Newish rooms. Pretty good breakfast. Hopefully they get it addressed. They need bed bug sniffing dogs routinely.

Small town motels, even big name ones can be really disappointing.NOT this one. Soon as you walk in you know it was a good choice to stay. Front desk was friendly, check in was smooth. First thing about room, ac was already on. Many a time I have walked into room and it was hot as hades. Room was king size bed and pull out couch. Bed had 6 huge pillows. (Sorry I'm a pillow girl so it was a big thing).I always check my sheets, no problem there. Nice crisp and clean. Room was spotless. Remote in new clean bag. Breakfast was wonderful. Lady serving breakfast was very sweet.Check out smooth.

Awesome room location for traveling with a puppy that needs to "go" in the middle of the night! I felt very safe here, too. The staff was super friendly and helpful!Safety: There was a great area for walking my puppy. I felt fine going out at 2am.Walkability: There were two eating establishments right next to the hotel.

We stay here with our two dogs a couple of nights every month. The room is always clean as is the rest of the hotel. There is plenty of grass to walk the dogs. Management is extremely accommodating with special requests. The town of Clarendon is small and basically a stopover place. However, if you want a very nice hotel that takes dogs we highly recommend it!

We stopped here for the night, and were very satisfied with the room and overall experience for the price point. Just be aware that if you are on the road, and coming in to town for a late check in, pretty much every sit down restaurant closes at 8pm here. Your options after 8pm are pizza hut, Sonic, or the corner store. The breakfast is standard fare, but decent. Staff is very friendly. Parking lot is a bit small, but there is a large gravel parking lot on the side of the hotel for large trucks, motor homes, and trailers. This hotel does have an indoor pool and hot tub. Overall a great experience. We would recommend staying here!

Stopped here for a night with the family. The parking lot was well lit at night. Welcoming ambiance. Our room was clean and comfy. We particularly enjoyed the free breakfast that was included in our package. The automated pancake machine is really a nice touch, kids loved that. Biscuits, sausage and gravy was so yummy and healthy sides of fruits and yoghurts. Decent variety of tea selections, like that. Friendly stuff. And easy access to the interstate and gas station.
