Lisa & C.C. do a great job making guests feel welcome. The jacuzzi was hot and relaxing, the laundry facilities were a much needed addition. Eggs, sausage and Texas shaped, flavored waffles with hot coffee & great conversation with Lisa, the manager, made our stay particularly memorable.We'll be back. Thanks Lisa & C.C.

The night manager on duty was so rude and disgusting! I would never have expected such horrible service at any establishment tied to the Wyndham name! I have started the complaint process all the way up to corporate. I had a reservation called the hotel at 4 pm talked to the front desk, confirmed my reservation and offered payment. When I arrived at the hotel he said they canceled my reservations and had no rooms left. I was stranded in Childress with no where to stay. There was no compassion or even an apology. How can my reservation disappear after I called and spoke with someone! Unacceptable!When a person calls to confirm the day of arrival and the receptionist says I will note your reservation and then you arrive and there is no reservation…. The front desk should have seen that!!!!! So who ever I talked to was just blowing smoke when they said they retrieved my reservation in the system! Either they were incompetent (couldn’t see it was canceled) or they lied and didn’t retrieve it at all. So which is it? Liars or can’t do their jobs?

We primarily stayed here because my daughter wanted to stay at a Super 8 Motel, plus they are dog friendly (we have a 4 month old puppy). The room is adequate for a one night stay like we did. I would recommend to stay elsewhere if you are planning to stay multiple nights. Breakfast area floor was super sticky and gross.Noteworthy details: They have an indoor pool, but the water was freezing cold.

Needed a place to stay, bad weather canceled my camping plans. Called and got a room. Staff here is great! Rooms are clean, breakfast is good, and anything you need is a short drive away. Reason for 4 stars on location. Hotel is on busy highway, and truck noise may be an issue for some, but not me. Would definitely stay here again! Should be a 4 1/2 star rating.

Second stay here. Rooms are spacious and clean and the room was already cooled off in spite of the Texas heat. Bed was very comfy after a long day of driving. Pet friendly with nice walking area!Noteworthy details: Pet friendly, nice green area for walks. Staff is accommodating and friendly.

We stayed 4 nights as our Jeep broke down. Very friedly staff. Comfortable room but the walls are a little thin. There's a barbecue restaurant one block away. Lisa the hotel manager was so nice and told my wife about a nice park and lake we could walk to. We did, and it was a really big park...like mini Central Park..beautiful.

So I have stayed in motel 8s in Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming, and now Childress, Texas. The rooms are neat and clean, but you guys are setting yourself up for a major lawsuit. No rail or bathmat in the shower anyone that is disabled or a senior citizen( you guys are lucky so far. ) And I can speak from hotel experience ,because I worked at and ran one hotel The Historic St James in Cimarron New Mexico, from 1996 to 97 . And The Fairplay hotel from 2008 to 2009. Even the historic hotels we had to install bath mats and handrails. ! The young lady was very friendly, but she didn’t ask me if I was a veteran or if I had an AARP card and I have both. Now the price. I realized the prices are going up after the pandemic to recoup your losses, but $115 plus tax which came out to $127? Really ? No really. 🙄 water pressure was great. Plenty of hot water room was very neat and clean and again the attendant was very sweet and I’m sure she was tired . Rolled in about 9:30 PM. So I’m sure she had a long shift. So motel eight Wyndham hotels I would jump on that bath mats and handrails in your bathrooms because someone who has a really sharp attorney is going to sue the hell out of you if they injure themselves in a slippery tub. !

Stayed here one night. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. I needed some paperwork printed out for my trip. Front desk staff was very helpful in getting this done. The room was clean and comfortable. Morning staff were friendly. There are a lot of working men here at this hotel. There is a data centre being built outside of town. Some of them were loud, there was drinking in the parking lot and some garbage in the stairwell. Truck parking is minimal, you can park on the side street or in the back. There was breakfast in the morning with plenty to choose from. Lastly the breakfast area is quite small, not a lot of room to sit and eat.

At check-in, Anthony greeted me from the front desk and made the process easy. He was friendly, helpful and informative. The property has plenty of parking and easy access to rooms for patrons. My room was wonderful. Clean, comfortable and cozy. Besides the wonderful constancy of hot shower water, I especially appreciated the silence and efficiency of the room heater. Temperatures were in the teens and the heat was a blessing. Check-in and check-out was a snap. Easy on and off the highway. I plan to return to this location each time I travel to Texas.

We typically stay at embassy suites, but will for sure look into staying at Super 8 more often. Of course I'll call and check amenities first, not all have been great. This one was well taken care of, has a pool, full breakfast, great service. Thanks!Rooms: We stayed in the suite. One separate bedroom with 2 queen beds and the main room had a queen bed with a couch that pulled out into another queen bed. Sleeps 8 very comfortably.Noteworthy details: Great breakfast. Eggs, sausage, Texas waffles, cereal, bagels, muffins, OJ, milk, yogurt, coffee.Great customer service.

Was ok after midnight but before then there was a long term work crew staying who love to hang out outside of their rooms chatting and making quite a bit of noise. Then they weirdly just start their vehicles at 06:00 and leave them running while doing ... I dunno. The rooms aren't that well sound insulated so don't expect a good night's sleep.

After driving for 10+ hrs I ended up at a hotel that lets say didn’t make me feel safe, so I made a reservation at this Super 8 in Childress and got there for a very late check-in. The night shift front desk guy was super friendly and accommodating. I couldn’t have found a better hotel to spend the night as I continued to make my way South to see family. Rooms are super clean. I only slept for 3 hours before making my way on the road again, but the bed was so comfortable that I felt very well rested. Most importantly, I felt so safe! Definitely will stay again when I come see my family in Texas!

After driving 10 hours and still 8 hours to go, we selected this hotel. I've never stayed at a Budget 8. This isn't our normal choice of hotels. The front door had a sign posted pool and gym out of service. We weren't interested in those amenities anyway. We just needed a stop on or journey. The hotel doesn't pretend to be a destination hotel it offers a clean comfortable room with a clean bathroom fresh clean bedding, great for travelers.

I have been doing room stays at this hotel since November of last year 2021. I must say Lisa the Manager is a Gem and one of a kind to make sure you are happy with your stay! Communication & Customer Service is Awesome couldn’t ask for a better place to stay at! Rooms are always clean and very comfortable! I wish every manager was like her at every place I have to stay at. Thank you Lisa for all you do for our stays to feel at a home away from home! ☺️

Nice people. Strange electrical connections/no connections in rm 101. Lights between beds don't work. Switch right below them turns on light on opposite wall! Can't imagine that passed a building permit.Food & drinks: Couple of good restaurants ..BBQ, and Mexican

We were pleasantly surprised and enjoyed our stay. Lisa, who booked us, was so sweet on the phone. She gave us an AARP discount and put us in a room which was a handicapped room and so spacious. We had a little trouble with the TV remote and Tammy, who was on duty, quickly came to add new batteries. The room was very clean, the AC worked perfectly and our king bed was very cozy. We were passing through Childress but will book here again when we need a room. Very affordable!!!!

Picked this place last minute as a resting stop on a long travel day. AC blasted cold which was amazing (I had just stayed in another Super8 and the AC was pretty much nonexistent). The rooms were spacious, very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable, I have to say I also love their pillows. Other hotels I stayed in didn’t even offer another option since breakfast was on pause because of COVID, but this place had the prepackaged breakfast which was a nice gesture. The rooms are very much updated. I have no complaints! The woman that checked me in was very kind, as was the gentleman that helped me early in the morning.

I originally didn't expect much for the price. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised by our whole stay. Staff is 10/10! Everyone is extremely helpful and friendly. Ended up staying 4-5 days because we were so pleased with the hotel and staff.Only complaint would be the 2 flat pillows provided for our room. Attempted to ask for either a couple of additional pillows or swap them out for 2 different ones. We were told the front desk doesn't have any, we'd need to ask housekeeping. When morning came, housekeeping told us to ask the front... Just ended up going to Walmart and buying new ones.Will stay again, next time we pass through.
