I can't say anything bad about this Hampton Inn, everything is always in order when I stay. Located next to a large retail store, this location works out great for my travelling needs in the area. The rooms are always clean, fresh sheets and the bathroom is always well stocked. I have never had an issue with the staff and the breakfast is great.Rooms: Always clean and well stockedNearby activities: Plenty of restaurants and small mom and pop shops in ChildressSafety: Well lit and and i have always felt safe day or night walking to my car and checking in.Food & drinks: Breakfast is always hot and fresh, warm cookies in the eveningNoteworthy details: The fitness center is always in order and fucntioning

I was pleased with my stay here... almost.The area was safe, and the grounds were neat and well-maintained. My room was also nice, clean, and overall what should be expected... except I couldn't darken the room. The big window in front of the bed... floodlight outside the window. Miserably bright in my room. The curtain does not extend. They are merely decorative and do not close. I included a photograph. Also, paper-thin walls. I hear people coughing in the next roomBreakfast from 6 to 10. Checkout at noon. Coffee is available in the lobby area.

I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience at this hotel and I had to warn others about the condition of our stay.Upon entering the room, it was immediately evident that cleanliness was not a priority. The state of the room was unacceptable, with clear signs that it had not been properly cleaned. The presence of mold in the shower was particularly concerning, highlighting a serious lack of basic hygiene standards.To add to the frustration, the hotel’s management refunded me for the stay, acknowledging their fault. However, they later charged me again for no apparent reason and forcing me to go directly to corporate and have them handle the situation. The corporate office could not even reach out them directly which clearly should show that no one is taking responsibility for incoming calls.This experience has left me deeply dissatisfied and concerned for the well-being of future guests. I urge anyone considering staying here to look elsewhere for accommodations in the area. The lack of cleanliness and the managements disregard for customer satisfaction make this hotel unworthy of your time and money.

There was room at the inn! I stopped unexpectedly traveling for Christmas with my mom, two kids (3,1), and a dog. Not only did they get us a room and checked in quickly but I had a crib and a cot set up within 15 minutes of walking in the door. The staff was so incredibly kind and understanding. Genuinely lovely people and I would stop again just because of the hospitality they showed. Rooms were clean, beds were very comfy and towels were soft. Area felt safe, parking lot was well lit. Excellent hotel and wonderful staff.

Very great experience. Nice soft beds. Family needed to stay over night and this small town this was an amazing experience for this hotel. GREAT STAFF!!! YUMMY COMPLIMENTARY BREAKFAST!!! Pet Friendly for our cute little dog. Also for a hotel very clean and crisp t.v channels with disney jr that the kids loved. Highly recommend. Thank you for a wonderful stay. 100 out of 100 stars from my kids.

The room was clean, I think. There were very few outlets, and not all were working. The main fixture didn’t work.Since one key reason for choosing this hotel was because the Hampton Inn name usually indicates a higher quality establishment.The “hot” breakfast wasn’t. By 8:40 am, the was no employee at the breakfast area. There were few choices for food, and nothing was warm. The eggs and sausages were stone cold, there was no cream, no half & half, no waffle mix (though it was supposed to be there) and the “regular” coffee stations were either room temperature or completely empty. The juice dispenser was broken.I saw and heard plenty of employees near the check-in desk and although they came to the breakfast area to retrieve food, they couldn’t be bothered to refill the food area.I’m an insulin-dependent diabetic and I must administer my insulin ~15 minutes before I eat, so not being able to find hot food, I was forced to eat some of the meager high-carbohydrate offerings that were shelf-stable. I’ll be fighting my high blood sugar all day now.Hampton Inn and the county HD should visit this location!!!!

We stayed in lots of Hampton Inns and stayed in this location at least twice. Hampton Inns are generally very good but this time it was not. The sink in the bathroom was a bit clogged, the water went down very slowly. The breakfast had very few choices, by 8am some items, like blueberries muffins, boiled eggs already ran out and the staff didn’t refill. The scrambled egg was lukewarm if not cold. The coffee and hot water were definitely not hot. It was New Year Eve, the staff in the kitchen however kind of tried to avoid any eye contact. We would try the Holiday Inn next time if we stop at Childress at all.

Upon arrival, there were no welcome cookies, and when I asked the front desk about it, they said they wouldn't make any. Then, the breakfast area was horrible. I went to eat breakfast at 7:30 AM, and there was no oatmeal and no waffles. The juice machine was broken as it was a month before when I stayed at the same hotel. The hard-boiled eggs and the yogurt were not on ice and were warm. There was also no TV to watch the news. I was very surprised being that it's a Hilton property. I will not be staying at this hotel again.

Ok, to begin I'd like to say if I purchase a room for 50-70$ I know what to expect. Now purchasing a room at a brand hotel from 100-250$ I also know what to expect. So, with that being said...I was incredibly unimpressed with this location.1. There was a sign on the sliding doors at the entrance that read,"Due to being understaffed in our housekeeping department, we have no rooms available."2. I was wanting to watch the football game and they didn't have the channel for it. It was a "local channel."3. The TV glitches with every channel, I couldn't watch a TV show or the news without a glitch in the screen every few seconds.4. Hot tub and pool were not heated. When the people at the desk were notified they went to check on it with a flashlight then posted signs that the pool and hottub were out of order.5. Ice machines were out of service and coke machines were sold out.6. The walk in showers were dingy.The only good was the breakfast.For the money I paid, the amenities were not it.

We stayed at this Hampton from December 29, 2023 to January 1st, 2024. While the location was convenient and some aspects of the service were commendable, there were several areas that left much to be desired.Firstly, the pictures posted along with this review show a less-than-ideal picture of the room's cleanliness, particularly in the bathroom, shower, and with the phone. It's evident that the upkeep of the facility needs attention to ensure a more pleasant stay for guests. There was more than what's shown, trust me.Unfortunately, I cannot comment on the pool, breakfast, or other amenities as we did not utilize them. However, I must mention that the Wi-Fi was disappointingly slow, prompting me to resort to my phone hotspot to get some work done.On a positive note, the hotel deserves credit for allowing us a late check-out at 1:00, accommodating our schedule and providing a bit of flexibility.One significant downside was the consistent lack of towels throughout our stay. Despite speaking with housekeeping and being informed that they were being washed and would not be available until 2:00, I want to acknowledge the efforts of a specific housekeeping staff member. A short, Hispanic gentleman went above and beyond by personally delivering towels to our room just a few minutes later saying that he found some. His dedication made it possible for us to maintain cleanliness during our extended stay, especially considering that this stay was for a hunting trip, so we used towels more than the normal guest.One noticeable aspect was the lack of warmth from the front desk staff. Throughout our stay, we did not encounter a single smiling face from the two employees we interacted with.Furthermore, attempts to contact the front desk from the room phone proved unfruitful. On two separate occasions, the phone rang persistently without anyone answering. Whether this was a technical issue with the phone system or a choice by the front desk staff not to answer, it created a frustrating communication barrier that hindered our ability to address concerns or seek assistance.Lastly, the hotel's location is a plus, with easy access to Walmart and several restaurants either by walking or a short drive.

If I could post a no start I would. Be ware of this hotel they have bed bugs, they don’t even wash the duvet after each guest checks-out. I have literally called the help department on them after getting sick and the health department doesn’t even come out or do anything but give them heads up when they are coming. The tiles are all broken the rooms smell so nasty the carpets are filthy the whole place should be closed down DONT NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Someone should definitely call Hilton and let them know there name is being degraded.

(Edit) update: hey y'all so I feel really stupid but as I was leaving the hotel I looked up to my room and I have noticed that other rooms has pull down curtains behind the see through curtains.The service was great, but the room is freaking ridiculous. I did not get any dang sleep after a 6 hour drive because they have no black out curtains it's see thru, yes I said that right see thru. There is no privacy what so ever. I'm on the third floor, and my room is facing apartments and back of walmart. The people in the apartments can see in the room no joke. I dont feel comfortable taking a shower and getting dressed in my rented room. I have to do it in the bathroom. will upload photos. The lights from outside lights up the whole room. I'm the kind of person who sleeps in total darkness, lol. So no, I did not get no damn sleep. I hope yall have a better room than I did.By the way, the room is spacious and clean. The room was the third floor king-size bed.Also, the blue curtains are just for look they do not mo

I want to say I’m extremely shocked. The reason you stay at a Hilton property and pay more money than other hotels is because it’s supposed to be clean, well kept. Room 212 on 12/02/23. I have been a Hilton honors member for for several years and this is by far the filthiest, nastiest hotel I have ever stayed in. I wish I would’ve took the time to read the reviews because they all are the same as my experience. I would avoid this hotel at all cost. It’s definitely not worth $150 per night.Rooms: The bathroom floor was dirty You could not walk on it barefooted. The carpet looks like it has not been vacuum in several years nasty. Dust all over the furniture. Could not get a room key, The machine was broken. Unacceptable!!

Update: Response said to contact the help line. We did and nothing was done except give us points. We will never stay in another Hampden again. The points were enough to take off $20 bucks. What a sorry response to absolute filthy conditions. Shame on you Hampden!!!!Dirty hotel. Dirty toilet and shower. Hallway floors filthy. Dust everywhere. Light above bed on ceiling blinked all night. My husband went with the brand but Hampden did not live up at all. I did mention all of this and there is 100 percent guarantee. Got $13.00 off of bill. What a joke. I wish I could post pictures of this nastiness. Avoid this hotel.

Never in my 41 years of being on this earth have I been to a hotel where the staff has me look at 3 different rooms for me to pick the "best one" that had the least amount of issues. The first room they gave me wasn't cleaned at all, the bed wasn't even made. The second room the ac sounded like it was going to rattle off the wall and the third room had a made bed but there was trash in the trash can, an empty coffee cup with a coffee ring in the bottom and a damp dirty washcloth hanging on the towel rack in the bathroom. At that point my wife and I got in our truck and left. That is absolutely disgusting and I will absolutely never be back to that hotel again, I would rather sleep in my vehicle!

Room rate did not meet the expectations of the stay. We were not informed Breakfast would be unavailable during our stay. We didn’t find out til the morning. The pool was completely drained. Fresh baked awesome cookies that we were looking forward too weren’t available, no coffee. My family and I had to provide our own breakfast however this is the main reason we chose this location. Hallway restroom toilet had feces and blood all over it and the floor was very nasty. This wasn’t our first stay at this location. We’ve experienced a good stay last visit. However this stay was not so great. Staff informed us later after a complaint was made that normal amenities were unable to be provided due to staff shortage. Request Supervisor for room accommodations because the rates no longer matched the essential the hotel provided. Turn down service was unavailable as well. Very unfortunate limited staff but I wish I would have been made aware so other arrangements could have been made for my family and I. No manager or Supervisor available during the entire stay. Still awaiting to hear from the Area Manager. Request was put in Friday Morning and Monday evening.

I'm writing a second review as my first one is missing. We stayed here at the Hampton Inn in Childress, Tx on Thursday night, August 10th. It was, by far, the filthiest place I've ever stayed. I can't believe I paid what I paid for that room. The shower had dust, head hair and pubic hair all around the edge of the tub, so it had not been cleaned/wiped in who knows how long. the comforter and pillows were filthy and stunk so it they had not been washed in a very long time to be that stinky and soiled. The room smelled like throw up. The vanity had droplets on it so it had not been wiped cleaned. We went to the breakfast the next morning. The cool had dumped the bacon AND all of the grease in the warmer so you had to fish it out of the grease and pat all the grease off of before you could eat it. All of the coffee dispensers stayed empty. My husband had to go ask them to refill them. One of the workers was walking around the entire time we were down there, on her phone on a face time call. Talking very loudly and goofing off. NO ONE EVER wiped a table off the entire time we were there eating. If I could, I would not even click a star but in order to leave the review, you have to at least hit one.

Empty pool and hot tub. They don't tell you that when you make a reservation. Our toilet didn't flush solid waste. No toilet paper rod. And in the morning, there was a contingency of firemen (25) waiting for the hot breakfast to be cooked as it was all gone. Coffee cups were gone, oatmeal was like soup, no fruit, nothing to eat really, except waffles, and we all know how long that takes. I felt bad for them. They had some kind of competition today. We checked out and went to Dawson's. The bed was comfortable.

We often stop and stay with Hampton. This was the one time to give an unfavorable review.Our room was filthy and there was no light in the bathroom or bedroom; lamps. It was so dark that we turned on the tv but it was a terrible view. We tried to watch it but it must have been old or very dirty.There was no breakfast because of no hot water. The coffee was so weak we threw it out.The only good thing was the bed was comfy.

I have stayed at this hotel dozens of times and I am a honors member. This was the nicest place to stay in Childress, but my last stay was my last. Black Mold on the walls in the bathroom, the tv would glitch about every 5 seconds and was unwatchable. Our room wasn't cleaned on a two-night stay, and I was asked by staff if I asked for full service? I was in town farming, and I had the joy of taking 4 showers with the same towel. Trash overflowing.... 317 Dollars for two nights I expected more considering my previous visits. Red Roof across the way is cheaper and they will clean your room without requesting full service... No one cared when I complained either. lol.. Waste of money and Motel 6 would have been less moldy and more accommodating...

I really don't like to guve bad reviews when the staff at the desk are so polite and friendly but this time I have to. The room has an odor the comforter was very dingy with stains and it didn't smell cleaned. The window valence was on the floor less half the paper towel roll was left with no extra roll the microwave wasn't clean and the sink didn't look clean either! I'm a trucker so no hours left to rebook another room elsewhere and its the only room available here. I'm definitely not used to Hampton Inn facilities in this far less than comfortable condition the room just smells, feels and looks dirty all I can say is....😐🙄Rooms: WTH???...

The worst Hampton Inn I have every stayed in. Hallway carpets stained, the baseboard was coming off the wall in my room, the shower was scary dirty, one of the lights by the bed didn't work, the cover on the air conditioner was broken off, and as others have mentioned, the pool was empty. This is not up to Hampton standards, and certainly not worth $140 a night. Hamptons are usually so dependable but I wish I'd read the reviews before staying in this one.
