Took a sick puppy up there to get emergency medical treatment. Puppy had been having seizures all night so we were there an hour before they opened waiting. When the vet finally arrived about 20 minutes late from their opening time, we were immediately turned away. She took one look at the puppy and said she didn't care and didn't have the time to deal with it. We drove 30 miles just to be turned away. The lady screamed at me to get out several times as I was only trying to inquire about another vet clinic in Childress. She very rudely yelled at me there was one across the street from wal mart and to just go there. I will never take another pet there again. Thank goodness for the other vet clinic. They were more than helpful with is and our situation and very friendly as well.

I had a great first time experience. For one, I showed up late to my appointment. I wrote down the wrong time. They still managed to get me in. Especially since a puppy I rescued was having diarrhea. They could have easily said sorry, you can come back another time. The vet techs were super sweet and loved on both of our puppies. The vet was very nice and gave us a lot of info on what to do. And to me, the price was great for their first round of shots and a stool sample.

Dr. Lindley is very patient and thorough. They provide excellent care at a affordable cost. I always leave with my questions answered. They have a really lovely fenced yard where your dog can run around while you wait as well. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone in the area.

i just moved to town for a short time. my pug is 8 years old and needed monthly heartworm and flea and tick medication only. we had been customers a few years ago so my pug isn’t a new patient. when we told her he was blind she said she didn’t have the knowledge to care for a blind pug even though we were only there asking for the flea and tick plus heartworm meds. if she doesn’t have the knowledge to care for a blind pug and has to refer to Altus, what did they teach this doctor in medical school? this is concerning if she is the best choice for anyone to trust.

Its been probably 5 years since I took my dog there. He had two kinds of tick fever. I explained what I could pay before I took him in. They treated him and gave me a discount. They even gave me medication for almost free. I've never had a doctor or another vet do anything like that. I could tell there was a real care for animals. I appreciate the time I was in need and y'all were there . Saved my dog. Best vet clinic u have ever been to. Thank yall. If you live around childress you should check them out

The staff are very kind and a pleasure to deal with. Dr. Lindley is a very caring vet and I can’t say enough how much I appreciate her expertise and treatment she has given our dogs. She has performed two surgeries herself on one dog and was quick to refer us to a vet in Lubbock for a complicated third surgery that required additional hands to perform. The going above and beyond is what has earned my trust and appreciation with this vet clinic.

The staff at Critter Care treat my little Sadie like she is one of their own family. Dr. Lindley is committed to the health and well being of the animals trusted in her care, and she has shown me over the nine years I have been taking Sadie to her how much she cares, especially when Sadie is ill, and needing more than just routine shots. The entire staff is GREAT!

They really work with our schedule even when our schedule and theirs are having a difficult time corresponding. They couldn’t have made our experience any better. I feel they have our pets health as much of a priority as I do. Dr. Connie has a huge heart not only for the pets but for their family as well. She has an amazing staff backing her up. Took my dog in to get her shots and inquire about boarding her because I'm having surgery next week. Because I missed 1 payment by a couple of days, they now say I have a bad debt, and the veterinarian refused to give her shots because I used another vet before, and when I inquired about boarding she said they no longer board animals because of lack of staff. Go to the Childress Veterinary hospital instead. At least there you won't get treated like trash.

One of my rescue dogs is a bit skiddish and generally needs a muzzle for nail clipping as she does not like her feet touched and tends to snip during nail trimmings. No muzzle needed here! The atmosphere was so comfortable and welcoming. Thank you Critter Care for making our vet experience a breeze.

Critter Care is so amazing! They have always taken very good care of my cats, and I even adopted a cat from them years back! They truly care about animals and I can't thank them enough because they saved my cats life when she was really sick back when I was in high school. They understood how much I loved my cat. The service was good at first when she opened up. I had a ex daughter in law take her horses to her and charged the services to my account. We argued back and forth over this charge. I did not give her permission to charge to my account. Every since then, when I called about one of my pets. Not horses, I don’t own any. Only dogs, they would tell me payment had to be made up front. I always paid my vet bill on the time of service, except maybe once when it was an emergency. I paid it the same day or day after. She has gone up so high on her services it’s unreal. She is a good vet, but I can’t afford her anymore, and don’t like the treatment we recurved most every visit.

never been treated so rudely at a business before . I was told not to come back after telling her I was going to get a second opinion & cancel my appointment. Also they kept hanging up on me after calling back when she hung up on me. I had to use another phone to call and for them to answer my call. childish and very unprofessional, I'm glad Im not taking my dog to this place anymore. my Dog has been going here since she was born and she just ran us off like nothing! but thankfully they are not the only Vet in childress ! FUSTONS VET CLINIC took us in with quickly and are super nice ! and they were very informative and what direction I need to take with my Dog... and where not demanding and rude

This is the sorriest veterinarian clinic I have ever had anything to do with. I thought vets were supposed to care about the animals, but it is clear with this vet that it’s all about the money. Twice on a Friday afternoon when my regular vet was out of town I had a pet emergency, and twice, because I was not a regular customer, I was told they were too busy to see my animal. Of course, this was after asking me my name, my pet’s name, and the first time telling me they hadn’t seen my dogs in a while, and today asking me if they had ever seen my cat. You know, maybe if she’d taken my emergency, I might have changed vets, but you can bet I’ll never call her again. I will take any of my fifty-seven animals to anyone but her, even if I have to drive for three hours!

NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!!!In the past My boyfriend and I have taken our bully to critter care because he wasn’t feeling well the owner Connie told me he had an ear infection but she wouldn’t treat him until he got all his shots renewed by her. We care so much for our bully so we did what she asked. He went under to get his infection cleared. We then took him back and she told us she had to put him under once again to clear the rest of his infection after all was said and done we paid over $400 for him to be clear of his ear infection. Time has past and we took him today for a check up now keep in mind with our bully’s ears being cleaned out and messed with and having to go through the healing process not once but twice he was intimidated this time when she tried to shove a tool down his ear to check it and he yelped and freaked out. Connie(the owner) then turned to us said she was done and as we were walking out she was accusing us of mistreating our bully she yelled to us “do me a favor and don’t ever come back here again” I have never had such a horrible experience in my life and for her to be making accusations and just flat out being rude was not okay. If you have a bully or pitbull I’d advice you DO NOT go to Critter Care i know multiple people who have had pitbulls who she has refused to care for, Ive just never believed it until today! We love our Lucci and he is definitely our spoiled baby he isn’t just a pet to us and we wouldn’t care how much money it took for him to be better but taking him to critter care has clearly traumatized him!

My 15 year old pekingese, Emily, was bit by a baby rattlesnake on the foot at about 2 in the morning Tuesday. Unfortunately we did not know there was a bite and thought Emily was having a seizure which has happened before. When she didn't recover, like she normally would, and a baby rattlesnake was found in the yard the evidence pointed toward a snake bite and we immediately started looking for a vet clinic. Being new to the area my mother had no information and I live out of town completely. We ended up in Critter care as soon as the doors opened but after we sat in the car waiting for the Dr to finish watering her plants. We get in and Emily is lying on the observation table while Connie asks us questions and demands to know why we failed to take her to an emergency vet (money and time would not have allowed it). Connie was so awful and I mean that with every bit of sincerity I can muster. She yelled at me to stop crying for goodness sake. I had to choose between spending money I didn't have "we have to have payment up front" or euthanizing my beloved companion. In reality I knew the snake bite meant the end was near because she would never have made it through anti-venom. When I chose to end my little Emily's life it was not easy and Connie refused because she did not believe waiting until a normal vet clinic opened was the right choice.She tried to kick us out and force me to drive over an hour to the next nearest vet. My mom had to leave the clinic at this point because she couldn't believe someone could be so heartless. I said I want to save the dog I would love to try I will do anything but I have $500 and that's it that is the max (I'm choking back tears because god forbid someone cry while making tough choices). She told her tech to go make an estimate for the services while she performed a physical. Emily has a heart murmur and therefore cannot withstand the anti-venom. Connie tells her tech as she walks in the door "that estimate won't be necessary we have to put her down". Hands down the absolute worst experience of my entire life and a horrible way to end my beloved Emily's last moments on earth.

I wish they had a no star button because this place doesn't even deserve one star!!!The Vet and the Groomer are extremely rude. Their prices are unreasonable. They insist on services that aren't even necessary for my dogs, just so they can profit from it. I would not recommend this Clinic to take care of a Roach!!!
