Worst PetSmart ever! Every time I go in there they have dead fish. I was excited to get a new fish but when I saw 2 dead ones in the tank and realized the other ones didn’t look well, I decided not to get one. If multiple fish in one tank are dying or dead they obviously don’t maintain them. The worst thing to happen yet, I got some fish treats for my cat and after opening it and putting it in her bowl, I realized it expired APRIL 28 OF 2023. It’s MARCH OF 2024. That’s ridiculous and there’s no telling what would’ve happened if I hadn’t taken it from her before she ate it. To make it worse another of the treats I got her was expired by a few days. I won’t be going back.

I came in here one day shopping for an order and could not find anything to save my life, and this wonderful stocker who I think is named Charles was right there to save the day. Stopped what he was doing (I was looking lost as all get out) and helped me find everything within seconds. Didn't just point to the general direction, actually walked me to the location of all items. There was a lady stocking meal worms which is one of the items I needed and she proceeded to go through every box that she had on her Cart to find me the right size I needed. It's the little things that make a difference.

The last week, I had a bad experience with one of the employees at this place. When we arrived, we just saw the attitude of the front lady, we still registered our dog for a "Pawcuire". We always take our Dog to the same store. The front desk lady put the leash around her neck and my dog didn't want to walk with her, I pretended to accompany her to walk and she spoke loudly to me, telling me that I couldn't pass and she pulled our Dog very hard by the neck. I wasn't going to pass, I just wanted our dog just to follow Her to start walking, and told her not to pull our Dog like that. She just moved her face from side to side. Before any of this happens we explain to the Front Lady that our Dog is sensitive in her paws, especially the front ones. When she started working with our Dog, she started to raise her paws a lot, our Dog felt uncomfortable with her. This employee cut the rear paws without problems. But when we started with the ones in front, she was holding them in a very uncomfortable and twisting position of the paws, she was hurting our Dog. The person spoke loudly to my dog saying: “No ma'am”. My dog was uncomfortable and she grabbed our Dog this time more aggressively, my dog turned around and bumped her nose into her hand. The woman said: “She won't let me, and she bit me.” Our Dog was at the front table, and we were sitting in the waiting area, and she never bit her. She has never bitten anyone, Our Dos has been trained as a Service Dog, and she always travels with me, being at airports, hotels, restaurants, and public places. We have taken it many times, to the same service. If this "bite" had been true, she would at least have shown me the “bite” and the lady didn't even have saliva on her arm. The staff in any Pet environment must not just be trained correctly, they must also have passion for their work. If you don't like your job, look for one where you can work without being in a bad mood. We have all had a bad day but it is not fair to mistreat a defenseless being. I will never take my dog to this place again. As a dog parent, to all Pet owners, always be attentive and look for reviews of the place where you are going to leave them. Good day.

I was greeted when I walked in and that was the last customer service I received while inside. No one working the fish department. A lot of dead fish in the tanks. In addition to an already poor selection of fish actually in stock. Cashier asked how my visit was but it was over at that point.

I love the various supplies for all the pets, but they lose a star for the poor fish keeping-there was at least 1 dead fish, either floating up at the top of the tank or decomposing on the bottom, in nearly every single tank. The beta fish are kept in tiny cups they can barely turn around in and even though they're only kept 1 per cup, there were still dead ones floating in some of them! Other than the lack of attention to the dead fishes, they're great though

My dog has been being serviced here for grooming over a year and I have not had an issue they always did well BUT today , idk if it’s a new staff or what . Upon dropping her off , I get a call less than 30 mins later . Saying they can’t groom my dog because she is biting. My dog does not bite and has not ever bitten anyone ever . She had a lot of fur and did not want to do the work . That’s the truth , and I would have preferred the truth than a lie and a waste of time .

I took my dog for a grooming appointment and 1.5 hrs later I get a call saying that they can’t do my dogs grooming because he has severe diarrhea and the lady on the phone said to bring him in when it was slower when I had the appointment already there!!!. I show up to the place after being told to pick him up and I was told all they did to him was brush him. So you took 1.5 hours just brushing? And my dog did not have diarrhea before going in. Then they just said they couldn’t do it and did not even offer to reschedule or anything… last time I am going to this location

People SERIOUSLY, don't waste your time bringing your dog for grooming here. TERRIBLE experience. There's such a lack of consistency in the grooming department. They made a mess of my dog, I gave the lady clear instructions and even showed her pictures of what I was looking for. I even took my time combing my dog's hair so that they wouldn't give me an excuse that my dog's hair was tangled (my dog is a mini Goldendoodle). Even if the haircut might have looked different, it would have been fine. Instead, she has wholes in her nose area. Many uneven areas in her body. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME....although the store in general is average.

It is always fun to shop for my dog and cat. I hope theres more variety stuff most espically for the cats and prices more reasonable. A few stuff are just too expensive. Other than that I thank you.Thank you and stay safe

Horrible horrible service ! If you love your dog and you’re a good pet parent, I wouldn’t take my dog here. I was told to have my dog sedated by a vet in order for my dog to be groomed because he was “ scared of the supplies “ they used to attempt to groom him. They started shaving my dog hair on one side and called me not even 15min later to come pick him up because “ they couldn’t do it”. Please DONT COME HERE FOR GROOMING SERVICES ! ! I would have posted a picture but my poor dog looked so much of a mess I couldn’t even stand to take one !

This was my first time ever using PetsMart Grooming. The staff was very friendly and helpful when I walked in when I was asking for a nail trim for my dog. I ended up giving him his Spa Day after all cause they had an opening I loved that plus I saves 15.00. Thank you Grooming Dept my dog was very HAPPY 😊 leaving there.

I love this place yet when I showed the lady that my - one 3 oz can of cat food that was on 50% of rack, cause it was fixing to expire, Rang up $2.79 not half price. She was RUDE AND told me that was half price when I explained to her NO THAT’S REGULAR because I buy this food all the time. Could she check? She replied NO! It’s right. I told her, "Wow, the ones that don’t expire soon are $2.79, but the discounted one is $5.58 before discount?"" Would be nice if math was required without a calculator these days!!She rudely said it’s right!VERY DISAPPOINTED I LOVED THIS STORE BEFORE HER!

I tried going to the cedar hill store 10 minutes before closing and the automatic door is turned off, I try to open it and it does and a rep is running to the door probably to tell me they're closed... I told him 7 o'clock means 7 o'clock not 650 and he replied I was coming to open the door for you (I doubt it) so then he says you have 5 minutes I replied I didn't need them as I looked at fish only for him to then say we stop selling animals 30 minutes prior to close... this may or may not be your store policy but as a shop keeper your doors should remain open during your posted business hours and anything i would like to purchase outside of a lengthy service should also be available for me to purchase; persmart cedar hill gets a thumbs down 👎🏽
