I'd give zero starts if it were possible.Rude employees, would not honor valid coupon. Had to ask twice to get assistance at the register when the 2 employees were about 4 feet away.Apparently it takes two employees to take items out of one box to scan and could them. Side note they can count to 6 together.This store is dirty, fruit is rotten and stinks and employees are unprofessional and rude.This location sucks and I advise you to visit one of the other 7 locations in the 10 mile radius.This store needs new management and staff or just closed.It's also very dangerous to enter and exit their parking lot due to it being an extremely busy intersection.

On Sunday 02/05/2023 at 6:20 PM I went with my children at the 1147 TX-21, Cedar Creek, TX 78612 Location when The employee named Lorreta told my underage son he would never be able to accomplish getting an expensive toy sports car in real life while he was playing in the toy section due to him being Hispanic, she was extremely cruel with my son, he has been affected emotionally and cried when we got home, they've treated us rudely before for being Hispanic and talking Spanish, I talked to the manager after the incident and she provided a false number when i asked for the corporates phone number, then proceeded to say it wasn't her fault the store wasn't perfect as if we were at fault, she was extremely unprofessional and wasn't able to resolve the problem and is not trained professionally to resolve problems in the store as she should've been trained to do. They've treated us rudely before for being Hispanic and talking Spanish, we are disappointed that we no longer feel safe to come to this location due this unprofessional behavior, we have all been affected emotionally from this.

Under staffed, under stocked, expired items on the shelf, coolers are always on the fritz. Staff is a toss up between either great and friendly or terrible and lazy - no in between. Never seems to have any real management.Always looks dirty, even though it was just remodeled.There are 2 other Dollar Generals within a couple of miles that are MUCH better. Worth the extra 2-10 minutes to get better service, in date items, and bigger variety.

I happened to run across this one. And I was excited to see it after a stretch of driving. Staff were approachable. Greeted upon entering the store, offered assistance if I needed it. At that time it was a clearance going on, so the store was a little cluttered, yet clean and the items that were stocked were net. Would definitely go back!

Honestly I would give this store a minus 10 if I could. The lady manager is rude not to mention lazy. My niece and I stopped in to grab laundry detergent and a couple of other items. When we went to get in line there was only one register open. There were about fifteen customers waiting in line to pay out. After about ten to fifteen minutes of being in this line two employees walk out of the office, go right past the one register and long line. The young man working the register ask the manager if someone could open the other line she just responded with a laugh and told him no, he was doing fine. I honestly don't think I will go back to this location of Dollar General for a long time. I also really hope the young man takes my advice and gets another job where he can be appreciated not ignored by his supervisor.

*edit* These folks have really tried to step up. They are fantastically sweet now, and I can't imagine how after the sh!tshow they have been through the last couple years. While my previous review complained about having to wait in line while being the only one in the store. I still wait in line but at least the line is full of Cedar Creek comedy and tragedy. I used to call it the bad Dollar store but now call it the Shakespeare's Dollar.

Employees are rude and the manager was even rudder. I was having problems use my coupons. The manager came up an said I hate dealing with coupons. She tried one and said that none of them would work. I left an went down the street to the other Dollar General. My coupons work just fine there. I really dislike going to this store.

They have a few good people at this location but the cashiers are always stocking shelves so sometimes you have to wait for one to come to the register, so there is usually a long wait even if there is very few people in line. They usually only have one cashier. The self check machine had not worked the 18 months is been in the store, all it does is record people in the checkout line.

They are good when I know they have what I want and can get in and out.However I tried to call for 3 hours to see if the item I need was sold there. Went to the website and the ACTUAL item was not , but an item in the "family was. So I will just drive to the pharmacy in town and get what I REALLY want. I don't like to settle and I don't like to go somewhere and have to either settle or move to another location.

After waiting in line for 10 minutes Eva (manager) came and closed the only register in an attempt to open both registers. She'd allowed the other cashier to log sales under her ID and now wanted to open another register under her ID so needed to shut it down.When I explained that I was unwilling to wait more than the 10 minutes if already waited in lineshe responded "It's Valentine's Day, waits will be long". Which was already unacceptable. She then said "Thankfully we open at 7 am". Which was a passive aggressive way of saying I should have arrived earlier. Rude, unprofessional and not customer friendly!Prices ALWAYS ring up incorrectly.The store is ALWAYS dirty.The parking lot is always dirty which means neighboring lots and highways see an overabundance of litter thanks to the mismanagement of this store.

great store...maybe the most beautiful placement of items on shelves i have ever seen before.clearly the stocker at this location is some type of an artist or serious OCD issues but either should come with a raise. 3 years with google and never this long of a description...i mean perfect stocked shelves..i went every isle and yes...same..same..go see..go see

The clerk was great as always . My only problem ever for some reason is they never have the 305 menthol 100s cigarettes. We are rural so nothing is down on the corner ..Please order more

Dollar general is now from what I've seen after experiencing several different locations it is the same thing over and over management is micro managing these locations there is not enough employees to efficiently run the store Long checkout lines and very frustrated employees maybe just maybe management will get a clue and fix all the issues or probably not because they're just out for the bottom line I might as well go on with this I've never done a run-on sentence as long as this but be blessed.

This DG is not as bad as it use to be. Cleaner than before. Cashiers dont make you wait an hour to check out.I do have an issue with the older lady that works evenings and weekends. She's incredibly innappropriate with non-English speakers. She gets very frustrated and becomes disrespectful. Speaks to them loud as if volume will help them understand. Rolls her eyes and is just all around nasty.

Always have problems with coupons. I even asked before I checked out and she said yes I could use the coupon. Went to check out I could not use it then because I wanted to also use my 5 off 25. Can you tell me why that would have made a difference when it was a febreeze coupon. It just does not makd since. I do not cheat system and look at ever coupon to guarentee they are correct.

This Dollar General is always dirty. There are always carts in your way full of items to be stocked or items that were pulled. Items ring up wrong all the time. Clearance items never marked with discount price, so you have to take them up to register to be scanned. This store can be very frustrating to shop, especially when your in a hurry.

This is a great dollar general. They have beer, cigs, groceries (including fresh fruits and veggies), refridgerated+freezer section, household goods, baby supplies and medicine. I observed the employees taking sanitization precautions and they provided lysol wipes for the cart. They wore masks and the register has plexiglass for protection. All employees have been friendly and helpful.

The Dollar General on hwy21 is really clean and employees are friendly. These stores have really improved their inventory to healthier, higher end products. Love my Dollar General!!

They should call this the $50 store LOL seems like every time we stopped in its $50 or more prices are fairly cheap and it's easy to impulse Buy here everything is at your fingertips it is cheaper than the convenience stores near us quick example you can buy a bottle of Louisiana hot sauce at the convenience store for 2.99 at the dollar store you can buy the same bottle for $0.99 they are times that you can buy two for a dollar that's just giving you the example it's cheaper to go to the dollar store

watch your prices. bear foot pinot grigio wine clearly marked $10.50 on shelf. rang up at register $11.25. tried to get it corrected and even took picture of label on shelf and showed teller and assistant manager could not change price. same wine at HEB is $8.99. ridiculous he did not have proper training to change price at register. this is not the first time that the price on the shelf did not match what rang up at the register. I guess they think most people wont notice.

Went to this Dollar store and met a worker that say he is the so called manager, He was so rude and when I walked in I asked him if he had tanks of propane that I needed to do an exchange and that I would pay there and his response was of course you have to pay here and I was like excuse me then he makes me wait before he even comes out to give me the tanks and exchange and then he tells you open the door and tells me to go ahead and exchange myself and then I ask him for my receipt and he says I can’t give you a receipt it’s too late I threw it in the trash wow if this is what you call customer service I don’t know what it is this is the rudest person I have ever dealt with as long as I’ve been going to the dollar general stores,I feel very very uncomfortable I felt like I was doing his job by having to put the old tanks in and grab the new ones me being that I’m a female and he could’ve been a little bit more respectful and not be lazy the way he was I’m trying to get me a receipt which I do believe that you can do a reprint this store is located in Cedar Creek off of 21 heading towards Bastrop and his name is Carlos he says he’s a manager but he kind of stuttered so I don’t think he was when I ask for the manager he didn’t want to reply quickly enough

I went at 9:45pm the lights and register lights were still on and they already locked the front door. My gf used to work there and they'd stay open till 10 on the dot.

Not a black hair care product in sight and the one they had was on clearance and 100yrs old manager has bad attitude and she is very rude I'm glad they make her travel to other stores so people can shop in ✌ the rest of the staff rocks and keeps the store clean they're also very friendly and dont need her anyway ijs....

I didn't dislike the place, as Google suggests, I merely wasn't impressed. It was a messy store, filled with angry Republicans buy beer and white trash women screaming at their children. Exactly what I expected.
