We have a dog with severe separation anxiety. We had a boarder carefully picked to handle this, but two days before leaving for our trip, we realized his bordatella vaccine had expired and our reservations were cancelled.I was recommended Furever Tender (at Chuckling Hound Ranch) and Alicia responded immediately, even suggesting an awesome sitter named Will to care for him until they reopened, as they were having AC work done on the facility.Will picked him up from our home and gave us multiple daily updates, as well as the measures they were taking to make sure he was safe (separating the dogs while they were not being supervised, etc) as well as walks and treats. He then drove our dog an hour round-trip to Furever Tender at no extra charge.Once arriving at Furever Tender, we were sent a picture of our boy and he looked thrilled. It is a large facility with multiple indoor/outdoor options, kiddie pools, snacks, toys, and very strong enclosures for special needs animals (ours with separation anxiety). There are also sanctuary dogs in separate enclosures there, but he was the only dog being boarded there at the time, so he got to follow Alicia around while she worked during the day which was perfect for our boy.When we brought him home yesterday evening, he was pooped out and fell asleep right away.Overall this place was WAY better than our original overpriced, overcrowded first option and we will definitely use Furever Tender in the future. Couldn't have imagined a last-minute reservation going better. We actually think he misses it!

Howie has visited Chuckling Hound Ranch once so far. He LOVED it! When I picked him up he ran over to me all excited as usual and then he ran back inside, still excited, as though he wanted me to see where he stayed. It was rather surprising. I'm happy if he's happy and not indicating that he wants to run away from the place when I pick him up after boarding. He sure was. And for the humans, expect to find an exceptionally nice, hands on and very knowledgeable owner. The only negative is their somewhat rugged driveway.

We were referred to Chuckling Hound by a dog sitter we know. Adette, the owner, truly cares about animals and runs a rescue operation as well. Driving in it's like the happiest farm you've ever seen - happy little chickens and goats and a veggie garden! The room our pup stayed in was clean and air conditioned, and he had a little patio to go outside on. They even practiced his training with him! We will definitely be coming back - it's so hard to find people you really trust to take care of your babies!

We could not be happier with our experience at Chuckling Hound ! Adette and her staff are amazing! Her approach to boarding creates a pet vacation where they receive great care along with love and attention. I feel like we have discovered treasure by finding this sweet little ranch tucked in Cedar Creek.

Adette and her staff take great care of our little Chico. He likes his walks in the wooded country. Much better than having him in the city. They always let us know how he's doing and know how to keep him healthy. They are also trained in pet CPR. We wouldn't dream of taking him anywhere else!!

This place is the real deal! Adette really understands rescues and truly takes into account and accommodates the individual needs of each dog. When I adopted my girl Chula, I promised her I would never let her "spend another day in jail." That means no boarding--I promised! Since Chula joined me, she has only ever stayed with family when I'm away. But when a situation arose that I did not have a choice but to board her, I felt like the worst doggy mom. Until I checked out Chuckling Hound! I knew Chula would be in good hands and it wasn't the kind of place that would bring back the stress of her former life. And when I picked her up after a week, Chula agreed that CHR was the best! HIGHLY recommend. (Pitties welcome, BTW--thanks Adette!)

Wonderful caring people who run this place. First time we've ever left our dog somewhere that he has NOT come home hoarse from barking the entire time we were away. He was very calm and happy.
