This walmart has recently had a remodel and it looks nicely updated. I'm a fan of self check out because I use the 'scan and go' feature on the app so love this addition to the store. But for me this walmart has some of the nicest staff members, especially those in pick up. Huge shout out to those individuals who always make my experience smooth and welcoming. Many thanks for Richard for providing great service in the mornings! The changes, upgrades and service are the reason I became a plus members. Thanks everyone!

The store is never too busy, everyone is so friendly and willing to help you. Terri the Team lead was so nice, professional and extremely helpful. Her customer service was outstanding not only to me but to everyone she helped during my visit.

The best run Walmart we’ve seen after over 2 years of RV travel. It is super clean and well stocked. The staff is helpful and courteous. Even the customers are friendly. Kudos to the management!!

I am so grateful for this Walmart and their staff. Everyone is always helpful and pleasant. The curbside pick-up staff is extremely efficient. The only Walmart I have been to in this area for 2 years that never disappoints! Thank you all for all that you do.

On my recent trip into Castroville, I stopped to pickup a few items at Walmart located there in town. The store is large and very well kept. Neatly put together. And well organized. Though there are certain things that they are limited to when it comes to grocery items. But I love that they have their grocery products in proper order and very well refrigerated. Helpful and friendly staff. This puts other Walmarts stores to shame. I wish the Walmart in Devine was built and stocked as well as this one is. Organized and managed.

Very clean . The majority of the staff was friendly and helpful there were 2 who were downright rude. Most of the advertised items were well stocked.I removed 1 star for the rude employees that need to be coached or retrained and also for the Walmart app indicating the store had items in stock and they were no where to be found in store.

Mikey is one of the best employees at this Walmart, the man deserves a raise if you ask me. His parents raised him right because he has manners and morals and is a king young gentleman! Make him a manager!!!Update: the store has gone downhill fast. Employees follow you around if your basket is full. But my main concern, is the bugs. There’s German cockroaches and they’re one hard pest to rid of and can come home with you in your groceries. My dad is an exterminator so he told me these bugs are worse than bed bugs to cure.

Okay it's a Walmart, but this one was particularly clean. What made this experience special was the clerk at the checkout stand. She went over and above what was required to make my experience superb. Perhaps this was a one off but it has happened before at Walmart so... Update, late March 2024, an update/refurbing is underway with all new gear in around the interior walls and new checkout configurations going in as the interior is updated isle by isle.

I don’t normally do reviews but long story short, I came back to this Walmart with an issue with my Tacoma and they went through great lengths to make it right.All the thanks to Charlie, Desmond, the auto center manager (who gave me his personal number to contact me)and whoever had a hand in the solution.

As I walked into the store I'm greeted with a nice bright welcoming and clean atmosphere, unlike most Wal-Mart's where the air is filled with a perfume of employee sadness and disappointment.The selection is smaller than your standard supercenter but they tend to have the items you need. They are not a supercenter so can't ding them for it. As for the checkout experience its ok, oddly enough its faster than most Wal-Marts and their self checkout associate actual does their job so if I end up their it always goes smooth.The management is very helpful and more than willing to listen to any complains you might have and actually fix them if it's a big one. This one tends to be one I gravitate more to for overall experience and if it's close to you, you should give it a chance.

I bought pita bread yesterday in a rush, only to find that they sold me moldy pita bread that exspried a month and a half ago. That violates OSHA's health codes! I am beyond Furious because my son ate one without me knowing it's expired and mold, since that's the only kind of bread he can eat!

We had a low tire that was separating. It was 30 minutes til closing for the automotive. We were from out of town with another 7 hours to go. They saved our trip and were very nice doing it.

My son and I went to meet my daughter. Most of the parking spots near the gas station were open. We did not go inside the store. The parking lot was clean and well lit for 9:30 P.M. I saw several vehicles in the area and people going into and out of the store.

I love yo go to this particular store but today I felt very uncomfortable every employee was looking at us like we were to steal and after we pay the head cashier was waiting for the ticket at the door and when we give the ticket she don't look for other customer tickets. What the heck

Castroville TX is the best Walmart I have ever been in. Great service with little wait at the register. Normally I avoid Walmart because of long lines but I willingly go to this location.
