I pulled up to this particular dollar general at 9:30 pm a boy with dreads proceeded to come outside to tell me they where closed…I stated that I thought yall closed at10 he then replied back to me saying they had difficulties with the registers…meanwhile a lady was sitting down on her phone not doing anything….I frequent this dollar store bc of the convenience but I will not spend another dime at that location…I’m tired of people getting in these jobs and don’t wanna do the work they are paid to do…there was something I needed which was some orajel that’s it….but bc of the stupidity of the workers I had to drive all the way across town to another store just to get some orajel when this dollar store is literally down the street from my house…if I was the store manager and saw complaints like this they would be terminated without question for denying service. Just ridiculous

This is the closest DG to my home but the drive to get somewhere else for whatever I need is worth it. I went today against my better judgment because all I need was a poster board and a stick of glue. White Posterboards 14×22 are displayed at 3/$1. I got 3. Came out to be $1 each.It's just a real inconvenience & its always something here. Rude/ Loud employees that talk about each other or their personal business and legal issues I dont really care to hear. It's not the worst experience I've ever had... just the one that happened today and the reason I'm just simply going to drive the extra mile. This place is just a drain.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER....STORE VERY UNORGANIZED. THE CASHIER THERE IS VERY DISRESPECTFUL CLEARLY SHE IS JUST THERE FOR THE PAYCHECK..THEY DONT GREET YOU..NOT TO MENTION NASTY IM STILL BAFFLED BY MY VISIT THERE.. CUSTOMERS EVEN LEFT BECAUSE OF THE CASHIER SHEENA IDK HOW SHE GOT A JOB BUT COPPORATE SHOULD LOOK IN TO HER A LITTLE CLOSER FOR SURE SHE IS THE REASON THAT STORE HAS LOST TONS OF MONEY..

Went to find one item. It wasn't easy to find as the WHOLE entire store was absolutely destroyed. I have never seen a store so messy, so disorganized in all my life. Corporate needs to step in and get the place back in shape.

A well needed store in a very small community. Isles need to to cleared of new stock though. Hard to maneuver buggies. My opinion is they need to restock AFTER hours. Love the store tho. Will always return

disgusting employees. went to get a basket and bag of chips, ended up being accused of drinking something and putting it it my basket. employees said we were on camera and even took pictures of us. the soda was already on the counter when we went to pay. will not be returning.if I could give less stars i would

Conveniently located at the intersection of Hwy. 79 and FM 31. Easy in and out. But what I like best about this particular Dollar General store is their employees. If you can't find what you're looking for, those folks know where EVERYTHING in the store is located.

Very nice employees. I had my 2 and 3 year old granddaughters with me and they were able to shop like big girls because the store was well kept.

This place is an absolute dump. It literally looks like it was either looted or a tornado hit it. The ceiling had giant holes in it, and they had trash cans (it looked like they had taken two trash cans off the shelf that they were trying to sell) and had them perched haphazardly on a top shelf where the hole in the ceiling was to catch leaking rain water. By the time I saw those trash cans they were well over half full of water. The whole store was filthy and the shelves were ransacked. Merchandise was thrown across shelves and scattered all over the floor throughout the entire store. I'm seriously surprised this place is still standing! No telling how long its been like this! The employees themselves look like they've given up on life, and obviously they've given up on the store. I was really appalled at the conditions this store is in.

I prefer the Dollar General because the employees go out of their way to help you find whatever it is you're looking for and they are very friendly. There are two Dollar Generals in Carthage and they both are the same as far as the employees and the merchandise. I would certainly recommend shopping at the store.

It takes very long to by your stuff. There was one person in front of me and I timed it after I was in line for 5mins it took 23 minutes just to pay for my items. And made me almost late for work and I'll never swing by there for brake fluid ever again or anything else cuz it takes way too long

Customer Service was great! Destiny helped me figure out the digital coupons I was looking at. Staff is friendly except for the grumpy older Gentleman.

Everytime you go to get anything there, the isles are full of products that you have to always go around. I don't know most of the time weather I'm at a chain store, or a rummage sale. I'm starting to ask myself Everytime I go now, (why did I even come here?) Because you always leave mad and disgusted!

Super bad customer service. Will not be returning to this location. We were humiliated and stumbled upon and didn’t deserve that kind of treatment. So save yourself the trauma and don’t come to this location. Horrible experience!

This store is absolutely a mess not to long ago this store was remodeled looked real nice, apparently the management is non caring ,the employees are there only for a paycheck,the night manager didn't even stay in the store,there wasn't a single isle that didn't have merchandise of some kind in it . You would think that the help is too lazy to pick something up and put it back where it goes.They need to visit the Family Dollar on W.Panola to see how a store should be kept

Bought something from here that gave us pantry moths. We had to throw out all of our food in the pantry. Everything but the can goods. Hundreds of dollars of food gone . And then we had to spray a bunch of bug spray to get rid of the moths .
