They've got Freshwater and Saltwater fish here!!!Corals, Invertebrates, even axolotls 😄If you're looking for saltwater experts for advice, ask for Crystal, Justin or any of the management teams!Everyone working here understands Fresh water so feel free to find your expert!The selection of Equipment and Aquariums here is impressive, and if you have sticker shock, they have a used section at the best deals you can find practically anywhere. I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Dallas North Aquarium and I must say, it exceeded all of my expectations. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff who were more than happy to answer any questions I had.The aquarium itself is beautifully designed, with a wide variety of exhibits that showcase the incredible diversity of marine life. Each exhibit is thoughtfully curated and provides a unique and immersive experience. From the vibrant colors of the coral reef exhibit to the awe-inspiring sight of the giant sea turtles, every corner of the aquarium is filled with wonder.One of the highlights of my visit was the interactive touch tank, where I had the opportunity to touch and learn about various sea creatures. It was a truly hands-on experience that allowed me to connect with the marine life in a way I never thought possible.The Dallas North Aquarium also offers educational programs and presentations, which are perfect for families and school groups. These programs are not only informative but also engaging, making learning about marine life fun and exciting for all ages.Another aspect that impressed me was the cleanliness and maintenance of the aquarium. I came here with my daughter to buy a couple of live plants and some schooling fish to add to our 180-gallon tank. I only saw one woman assisting the customers. I saw a flock of young guys in the corner laughing at something on their phone. So I didnt approach them. It made me feel uncomfortable as I'm a young woman and came with my baby. I came to the cashier and asked if there was someone who could assist me getting the plants and fish I wanted. She said there should be people in the back. So I want back around, again I saw no one available. I waited for the only lady helping anyone but she was extremely busy. I then decided to leave, I rather buy online somewhere else. The cashier lady just went back to her phone. So I put the tank toy down. Didn't even get that. No wonder there's a "help wanted sign".I did however enjoy the selection of coral. Not as big as Coral land down the street but still pretty nice.

I was recently in the market to purchase a new reef tank and visiting the Dallas North Aquarium. I first spoke with Justin M and was impressed with his knowledge and excellent customer service. Justin took the time to explain how systems have changed since I last had a reef tank 25 years ago. Justin gave me his business card and told me if I have any additional questions to give him a call. After doing more research, I returned to Dallas north Aquarium and again worked with Justin M. The system I wanted needed to be ordered and I was advised it would take a week. After placing the order Justin helped me pick out the rock and sand to design an incredible reef, with a wide variety of caves and ledges for corals to be added. He worked with me to build the reef with perfect, set up the service to build the tank and install it in my house. The complete staff from sales, service and management are first class. I have had the opportunity to work with multiple divisions and have found the staff is available at all levels. Hats off to Sean the general manager, you run a great store with amazing staff.Rich P

My experience at Dallas North Aquarium was very good. It was my first time visiting this store, and I was surprised by the size of the store and the variety of fish and products they had. The customer service was excellent, and Miguel, who assisted me, was very friendly and demonstrated knowledge about fish and corals. He also greatly helped my dad, who doesn’t speak English. I will definitely return.

This place is epic! There are plenty of staff, the tanks are gorgeous. Ione of the cleanest aquarium stores I've been to. Saw a sick fish, pointed it out to staff, and they addressed it immediately. Huge selection of tank building supplies, rocks, substrates, etc. Great deals on used equipment. Massive coral selection. If I lived closer I'd go just to look at everything lol

A good place to go if you have any issues with your own personal aquarium. The staff there is very knowledgeable, understanding of many of the local water issues and can have solutions readily available. The variety and selection of fish is quite deep, and has saltwater and freshwater types available.

The biggest selection of fresh and saltwater fish I have seen so far in DFW. Their 20% spring sale was amazing. Got some peacock gudgeons, a pair of aphyosemion australes, neon tetras and amano shrimpHowever, I have had a higher fatality rate with bought livestock and it is also far for meso am looking for other places as my go-to store.

This place is rad! They have everything you could need as a serious fish keeper. We where looking for axolotl and the ones they had where a bit small for our set up . The employee was very understanding and even pointed us in the right direction to obtain what we needed. We will be back to this store as I keep several aquariums and they have an awesome selection and helpful employees.

I love this store. Whenever I can't find an animal at my LFS, I know they'll have it. Plus they're animals are always healthy. If they were closer to me, I would shop there more often.

Update: I did call back and talk to the manager after their response. I was glad I did call back, he was very nice and offered to replace my shrimp after I bring in a water sample. He apologized that I was misinformed, especially after I explained to him why I couldn’t make it within the exact 48 hour mark. I’m hoping to go back soon and have a better experience. Thank you.I bought a couple cherry shrimp and 3 ruby red tetras. I had one of the small cherry shrimp die on me right before the 48 hour mark. I couldn’t make it within the 48hrs, so I just lost some money. I unfortunately won’t be shopping here again. I gave three star because when I went they were nice and helpful. I’m pretty sure the other cherry shrimp they sold me was in the process of failed molt. I hope I’m wrong and the female makes it.I will just shop at Fish Gallery, had those shrimp longer and everyone is doing fine. My tank has been established for 6 months, and I tested my water with an api water kit everything was perfect.

This place is awesome! They are always busy but there are plenty of staff to assist with your questions and needs. Cayce is awesome; he is very knowledgeable and has great advice about fish species and keeping them healthy! Ask for Justin from Louisiana if you need advice or cool ideas for setting up, styling and decor for your tank! John G is also wicked smart when it comes to help/advice on balancing the pH, nitrites, ammonia, etc of your tank.

Dallas North has a great selection for hard goods and aquariums! I always enjoying shopping the used and clearance sections. I believe their freshwater livestock health could be improved, so be aware when buying livestock.

Wow this place has a lot of fish, tanks, live plants. We had gone here thinking it was a themed aquarium place. Sadly it was not but we did go in and check it out. The kids loved it. Anyhow if you are in the few area and looking for fish I would imagine this place will have it. And if not I am positive they will get it for you.

I cannot express the amount of gratitude I have for the customer service here at Dallas North Aquarium , specifically Tania. After a disaster visit at a fresh / salt water store in highland village , Dallas North Aquarium was a huge breath of fresh air. Tania greeted me and my family and asked if we needed any help. I told her I just got my tank cycled and ready for some shrimp. I am new to the aquarium world and was very nervous to get live fish into my tank. Tania was very patient and talked me through everything. I never felt rushed, I never felt confused but what I got was a sense of relief that I was being helped by such a wonderful, friendly and knowledgeable person. All my questions were answered without hesitation! I bought everything that was recommended and was excited to get home with my new shrimp friends! Its been a few days and I have to say that everything is thriving! My plants look amazing and the shrimps and the assassin snail are very happy, which makes me very happy! It's no joke and no lie that this place is the best in DFW! I will be returning back soon! Thank you Tania, you're the best!

Bought my first tank here 2 years ago. Fluval 32. Got great service then. Drove from Arlington today to look at a new tank. I was there 20 minutes. Not a single employee said hello or asked if I needed help. It wasn't terribly busy. Guess I'll just start shopping closer to home.

This is probably the best large scale fish store in the entire Metroplex for Fresh and Salt water fish, Corals, Live Plants, Rocks, Wood, Tanks and Stands and Equipment.They certainly are not cheap and its unfortunate they are off a toll road as well for most customers. I certainly plan to buy larger tanks from them in the future because they seem to have the best price and their delivery and shipping rate isn't ridiculous.I have bought most of my schooling fish and community such as rummynose, colombian and all kinds of tetras, snakeskin and gold barbs, rasboras, corydoras, angels, gouramis, etc...I have also bought rare and exotic species from them such as assassin snails, blue crawfish, pea puffers, and Lake Tanganyikan Cichlids.They have a great selection of African and New World Cichlids and they have carried a Flowerhorn or two in the past but they are certainly just as dedicated to coral and saltwater species as they are fresh but that is not apart of my hobby.They are certainly worth checking out if you are wanting basically check out a free public aquarium for all sorts of interests in the hobby.

I started shopping at Dallas North Aquarium in 2005 and was blown away with the knowledge the staff had at that time, it seemed everyone was an expert and you’d get consistent answers from one employee to the next. That was something special that’s incredibly hard to find. I stop in from time to time to pick up fish or supplies when I happen to be working in the area.

Still here and still These peeps love seafood! But not sushi style like I love seafood - they keep it alive and teach you to keep your sushi swimming! Fish are friends NOT food! Though I don’t always agree they pointed me in the right direction to keep my Turtles floating in an aquarium instead in y soup boil!They are pricey for new stuff but they got the newest coolest stuff. Butt ….in the back corner that looks like a storage corner - not well lit is used stuff that is priced to move! And there is a bunch of goodies. Plug it in first (they have a spot up by the registers with a power strip!)

Thank you so much to Cayce for all the time he spent with me helping get the right…almost everything really… for my axolotls. They are loving the sand, plants, and the driftwood he helped me pick out. I’ve got a couple more things I need to get to finish it up and I know I’ll be coming back here when I do!Edit: I’ve been back twice since posting this review and have updated the stars based upon all five employees I’ve talked too. There’s a reason Caycee is the only employee complimented for his knowledge and customer service in the reviews. There are definitely a couple employees there that should not have a job working with people…. Offering unsolicited and completely incorrect information or just being an absolute a-hole for no reason.Fortunately, there are so many other cheaper (as in not overpriced. Same products for 20%+ less) options minutes away that have more than one competent employee.

Wow! Took my grandchildren in, to look and we were amazed at the merchandise, fish and fish tank displays. The kids were even given fishy coloring pages to take home. We may have created some future home aquarium enthusiasts.

I worked here for 4 years.9 out of 10 times there is a one star review here it is grossly misleading. If the bad review is truthful; the awesome team of managers will usually help rectify what ever issue you had with the store within reason. It gets really busy on the weekends therefore it is best to be patient and understanding. Kindly ask for help and an associate will help you as soon as possible. Treat the employees how you would like to be treated and your time at DNA will be wonderful.Top notch aquatics and aquariums for sale. Ask about special orders if they dont have what you are looking for. I would also advise you to call before you make a long trip to DNA to verify that they have what you need.DNA is a great place to learn more about the aqurium hobby. The store is filled with aquarium experts to help make your fishtank dreams a reality.
