As a walk-in clinic, I like it. It's a little disappointing, however, both times we've been there. I've never actually met the vet treating and seeing my dog. I find that a little off. If you're so busy with surgeries, you can't give all your clients 100%, then maybe it is time to hire another doctor who is actively be involved with owners as well. The ladies that assist are nice. But professionally speaking, Dr should make a presence or at least an appearance at an appointment.

Dr. Demere and staff are kind, caring and professional. They took very good care of my dog and me. I am so grateful that they took the needed time to figure out her problem and get it corrected. This is the ONLY place I will take my furbaby to!!! They have saved her life several times with their knowledge, experience, and quick thinking!!! My dog got hurt and had to have surgery. I've only been there for Shots . I didn't have to wait. They took him right in. Every one there is very nice and caring. I've had to take him back. To be checked to make sure his doing ok every time I go I've never had to sit and wait more than 10 minutes. I will not be taking my dog's any place else. There is not a better veterinary clinic around amarillo

This is the first bad review I have ever written. I like to give businesses the benefit of the doubt. But this experience was the worst!! On my first visit, I got forgotten about and was left in the room 45min after the vet tech saw me. She was going to show a picture to the vet and write up an estimate. I went into the lobby and the receptionist looked shocked I was there!! I left without ever seeing the vet. 3 days later, I spoke with Dr dimiray on the phone. He apologized and said to bring my dog in Monday morning and he would “cut me a deal”. I drove back out Monday morning. This means another 30 min drive, not letting my dog eat or drink the night before, etc. the receptionist shows me an estimate and starts asking if I want certain extras. Mind you, the vet has still not laid eyes on my dog. Finally, I get a face to face with the vet. He had attitude and still never touched my dog. I literally had to ask, are you even going to look at her eye that is the concern. He glanced at it for 2 sec and started arguing about the price, which was on the low end of the original estimate. Definitely not “ cutting me a deal.” I’m not impressed at all with the lack of professionalism or even interest in my pet. Wouldn’t recommend.

The post ops at this place was horrible, no instruction ,they forgot to give us her meds and they still charge me for those meds we didn't get ...I call them about the refund on those haven't heard anything , they insisted on us taking our dog home, when my wife was in canyon for some business ,,she just wanted to check up on her ,,,they knew she was septic she needed to be on iv fluids, well my beloved Zoey died the next day after release. They can say whatever they want we would have not put her through that surgery if we knew she was not going to have a good chance. ...

I rarely do reviews like this but our visit today was not okay at all. I took my cat to get his ears looked at, annual shots and dewormer. I took my dog too to get her dewormed as she actually has worms. To spare some of the details, we never saw a doctor. A doctor never came in the room, we only saw a “technician” or assistant. The assistant was too scared of our pets. She was hesitant when taking samples from my cat’s ears that she had to do it twice. She was hesitant when giving him his shots and when giving him the dewormer too. When she gave the dewormer to my dog, she pretty much missed her mouth. I’m not even sure my dog got the dosage she needed. We asked a few questions about my cat’s ears and she couldn’t give me a good answer. She said it could be an infection but wasn’t sure. When we were leaving, we got the bill and I read through it when I made it home. I noticed they had charged me for depo medrol which I never saw get administered to either one of my pets. When I called back and asked about it, they said the assistant forgot to give it to my cat. Apparently it was a steroid (which she never even mentioned) for his possible ear infection. They wanted to give me “store credit” instead of a refund unless I went back. I understand the assistant was maybe learning to do some of these things but the problem is no one with more experience was there to help her or to answer some of our questions. It wasn’t worth $150 to us for that. We were very disappointed and frustrated with our visit.

After trying to book my dog in to see a competing vet in Amarillo, I was reduced to an animal and told I had to wear a mask/muzzle. This location did have any concern I didn't wear a mask (thank goodness someone reasonable). The doctor was super nice and reasonable with my concerns making it easy to understand and make an informed decision. I would HIGHLY recommend them.

Went to pick up my 2 kitties the next morning after surgery. Checked in and sat for 35 minutes I finally asked if there was something wrong with my cats since other people had come in and out. The desk girl said oops they might have forgot. A lady came out in 3 minutes and said did I need help and I said is something wrong and she got angry and said they were very busy ( not so much). She brought the kitties out and I left. Bottom line is, they forgot me.

They are excessively priced. I brought 2 dogs for spay and due to some complications (i.e. early pregnancy and infection) the charges came up to close to $1000. This is price gauging run rampant.

Vet skills are top notch. However we boarded our dog for 4 days and when we picked her up, she was groggy. Took her 24 hours to get back to being herself. Hmm. Guess she might have been given something maybe?

I live in Denver and when I come visit my parents I bring Henry, my rhodesian ridgeback, here for care. Love the walk in appts that are always avail. Staff is very caring and knowledgeable.

My mother’s healthy dachshund was given pills and died the next morning. Do not go to Dr. Patton. I saw a lady go in there a few months back that her dog was given pills from this office and had seizure from it. I never thought it would happen to Hansel who had no issues like that. He’s been in our family for years and have gone to timber creek for years but whoever this doctor is caused our Hansel to die needs their license taken away. He was completely fine before this and does not make sense to me how just like that whatever that pill was killed him. Do not go here. I will not be going back. I will be finding a new place.
