We have been meaning to go to to the store since it opened. The guy working was amazing. Took lots of lizards out for my daughter to see and asked her if she wanted to pet them. Was extremely knowledgeable about everything and super nice. We are not at the point to purchase a pet because she’s 2 but when we are ready we will be back. I would definitely recommend swinging by and seeing what they have. We were sorry to miss the monkey but will try again 😃

Awesome little shop! I can’t believe Maddie Barbz, I don’t understand why you would leave such a ugly review? If you had concerns and were in the shop, you should have taken it to the owner while at the shop instead of bashing on a review.How many animals do you have Maddie?People need places like Hill country exotics to take animals when they can’t care for them. I have gone in there many times and the cages are nice for temporary homes and they are well taken care of and fat.They do a great job with their business.I don’t know what Maddie barbz is talking about! It’s definitely not what she is saying..H

The owner is amazing and takes great care of all his animals. He keeps what is needed for your exotic pet in stock and is there for his clients. Stop by and check them out, you won’t be disappointed.

horrible, horrible conditions for every animal in that store. i know a decent amount about animal care and just being in that store for 3 mins just blew my mind. the food was incorrect, the enclosures where horrible and gross. please if you buy an animal from here give it better life then it has there. it’s absolutely so wrong. not even lighting for the animals. please do better animals are not toys or show and tell, they have feelings and taking them from nature and putting them in wired cages to be fed and treated horrible is disgusting. please take better care of ur animals.

Well run store with many exotic pets. The owner is friendly and knowledgeable about his animals. I enjoyed coming in and seeing them all!

Spoke with the owner quite a bit. He is very knowledgeable and informative. The place was super clean and completely the opposite of what one reviewer mentioned. Super cool place to have in the CL area.

Feel sorry for the critters in this place. Poor little prairie dogs, with nothing to do, digging constantly in a corner. Nothing in there cage. Thos place was sad.
