Good ol mom and pops vibe when you walk into the Rio grande Express. Happy shiny people and it smells like your Mama's kitchen.. thank you for being part of our community ✌️ this is an add-on to my review there is a little long haired manager there that is stuck up to no end you could have nine items in 8 item Lane and she won't take care of you. I have also been in there when there is a line for a cashier, customers rather be in line and wait then get assistance help"from the meanie..

Love this store, it's local and has decent prices, but the cashiers are all so b*tchy. They act like we're annoying then by showing up in their checkout lane. They're not helpful when you ask questions either, they refer all questions to the owner or the manager.

Whoever was working today at the register at 4:30pm has the worst customer service. Judged me immediately, thrown all my items in a bag, was very disrespectful and on the phone. basically handed my receipt rudely. By far the worst experience Ive ever had.

I mean it's cool that it's been around for so long i just don't like how the store seems to take advantage of it being the only one in the area and it's kinda pricey

This store was one of the first to take precautions due to the covid19. He had one way lanes and sanitizers (to this day they still have both) way before other stores did. Good produce and a wide variety of products. Meat market is great, ask for Super if not sure what meat to take.

Rio Grande is the only grocery store in Canutillo, but I dont go often, i can always get anything I need but this store needs and upgrade in all areas and lots of TLC. I would love to go more often if changes were made.

Last week I went to buy pork from the meatmarket and when I open it had a nasty smell 🤮 it had gone bad! I was so mad! I called to speak to a manager and they told me to bring it to get my money back. When I get there the manager Ruben was like I’m very sorry and he said that he went to check it in back and yes the meat was bad. And they remove it from selling it. But my question if the person in the back is packing the meat wouldn’t he think it smells bad why would he continue to pack it and sell it to the public. Never going back to anything from this store.

I would love to support the local market but man everything has had issues. First off some of the prices are oddly high compaired to others, secondly there's always issues with yhe food, the mac and cheese boxes had bugs multiple times, almost everything is on the verge of expiring, everytime I checked out an item wasn't found and had to be manually looked up, weight scales broken, card reader broken, store lights blinking and flashing due to being never replaced, over all it just seems neglected. No longer shopping here.

First thing's first. This place isn't a walmart. It's no Walgreens or Albertsons, its a hispanic grocery store. You go in there with a lot of the typical Hispanic grocery store vibes. I wouldn't go lower then 4 stars though, because the cashiers are very nice, they have surprisingly good deals from time to time, and it doubles as a gas station. Super convenient, and would recommend for people who like Mexican brand cookies, sweets, and food.

They dont advise customer before purchase that they are limited in what buying. Having gathering for my daughters birthday and the lady I think is a supervisor tells the cashier they are already starting to complain in Spanish. Some customer service from a supervisor or manager whatever she is

Small grocery store with good selection of fresh fruit and vegetables. Fresh baked bread from their Mexican bakery on site. Good selection of groceries mostly Mexican products. Fresh cooked food on site. Fresh corn and flour tortillas from local tortilla factories. Flowers and candy arrangements. Beer and wine. Cleaning and personal hygiene products. Gas Station. Friendly and helpful staff.
