Visited Peeka Ranch over the weekend, this place is great for family or someone who likes Alpacas. The lady who owns the place was very friendly and the staff was pretty knowledgeable about alpacas. You can feed the alpacas and pet them as well. It is about one hour and 15 mins from Houston, scenery along 290 wasn’t too bad. It is great for a short day trip with the family.

This was our third time out at Peeka Ranch. It’s one of our favorite places to visit! The alpacas are sweet and the kind staff give you snacks to feed them. 100% worth stopping by.

Family-owned and operated, beautiful ranch. The experience of meet and greet with 80+ alpacas and a few llamas and getting to feed them with your hands was priceless. They also have a cute little store of alpaca fur products. The best part is that the animals are not hurt during any process and are well-raised, fed, and loved ❤️

This outing could not have been more perfect. What a great place to take a detour and connect with the great outdoors. It was nice to see hear about alpacas and our children absolutely loved petting and interacting with them. We enjoyed browsing in the shop as well thanks

The owner was so very friendly. She answered all our questions and let us play with the alpacas. It was so much fun and she invited us back and to bring the kids

After reading reviews , we drove around an hour and half each way to visit the ranch with friends. Generally disappointing. You get to see Alpacas (cute btw) inside a barn and then visit with the gift shop. I could sense a gentle pressure to buy from the gift shop. Uninteresting place . You get what you pay for $5 per adult.

Lots of fun for adults and kids! Adorable and friendly alpacas to feed and pet. Super informative staff and a beautiful gift shop. Very affordable outing and well worth the drive. Attending again, soon with more grandchildren! This place is a gem!

My family and I had a blast here that we came back and brought my in-laws to enjoy! The owners are wonderful and are so informative about everything you could think to ask about the alpacas! My husband and I want to buy one in the future!

My friends and I planned a weekend trip to Brenham, TX a few months in advance. I reached out to the owner via their website and got it scheduled on their calendars 4 months out! The ranch is absolutely gorgeous & was only a 20 minute drive from our stay in Brenham. We went at noon and left after about an hour. It was $5 to see the alpacas and you are given a zip-lock bag of food to feed them. They're super gentle and cute! I will say though, that when the alpacas see you feed ONE, they will try to compete and get food from your hands, so make sure you feed fairly, lol.Not really a dress code so wear comfortable clothing, especially during the summer months. The alpacas are all behind a fence so you won't get dirty while paying a visit. There is a bonus visitor that "blends" in well with the alpacas (I'll leave it as a surprise!)After feeding, we came back to the storefront and browsed the shop (candles, alpaca souvenirs, yarn, and other goodies!)Overall - great experience because we were the only ones there! Definitely recommend to schedule your visit even if you're in town for the day. It won't take too much of your time & it seems pretty kid-friendly too.

Love the Alpacas. Very innocent and adorable animals. My little one loved to feed them, and she was allowed to touch one of them as well. We were treated well. Nice tour guide. Would recommend to anyone who love these cute pets. Having an appointment is a must.

Wow! This place is beautiful and the owner is so very nice, she answered all our questions and told us all about the alpacas. We got to feed them and they had a tiny 3 day old baby Alpaca that was the sweetest little thing. Their gift shop has some of the most beautiful and unique items made from the Alpaca pelts. The candles smell great too! My girls didn't want to leave, was the highlight of our weekend for sure!

This place is AMAZING!!! I’m surprised that it took me 26 years of living in Texas before I found out about this gem. If you LOVE cuddly animals and the blissful feeling of being in country serenity, I highly recommend that you make the visit. My sister and I enjoyed the service of the owners, petting the extremely cute Alpacas, and the quiet ranch.

Extremely friendly owner, staff and alpacas. We had a great time seeing the young alpacas and learning more about them. They also have a great store with lots of alpaca articles. Highly recommended.

Went on a group trip here and I fell in love with their lovely, clean ranch and friendly little alpacas. They let us hug them--and yes, I kissed one--and I begged them to let me take one home! But, they are pack animals and you need to buy two...we'll see...I'm seriously thinking about it! Their store has beautiful alpaca fur clothing (I bought a gorgeous alpaca rug), children's items, etc. I loved every minute here!

This place is AMAZING! We didn’t know exactly what to expect but the owners are great- super responsive when we called to see if we could stop by. The alpacas here are super spoiled! They live in a really nice, air conditioned barn. You get to feed them some food and they gobble it up out of your hand! Me and my kids had an amazing time and are going to come back here often. The gift shop is so cute too! The owners are very kind and friendly. I love that they do this!

My friends and I visited for stress relief, and had one of the most enjoyable and fun visits we could have imagined. We went around 2 and we were the only visitors. We had one on one time with the owner of the ranch and fed and visited with the alpacas for a little over an hour. She was so nice and answered all of our questions, and we are definitely planning to go back.

It was a very upsetting ranch experience for us. That is NOT the Texan spirit! Anyone who works at Peeka ranch, PLEASE READ THIS! Please do not only care of your alpacas but also the kiddos!Today, we drove almost two hours to this ranch because of the Google map information, which says it's open from 11 am to 4 pm every day and not any other further reminding about calling for a reservation. On the way, all the countryside views were delightful. BUT, my four years old girl started asking very severely for going to the restroom about 10 minutes away from this ranch. Because there is nothing, just farms along the way, I asked her to hold for 10 minutes until we arrive at Peeka Ranch around 12:30 pm and see the sign that said, "Only open for reservation." It made me feel bad, not only because I didn't know about it, but also because my little girl needs to go to the restroom. And I searched around the closest gas station is another 10 minutes away. My four years old girl couldn't hold it anymore. One thing good, I saw a lot of cars before their main building, just behind the gate. So I pressed the security, lucky, there was a nice voice lady who answered. I thought we would be lucky to get in. She told me they're only open to scheduled ones. Ok, I understand the reservation policy during the particular time, So I said, "Ok, no problem, I don't know we need a reservation, but my little girl needs the restroom badly. Could we just use the restroom and leave?" The lady said" NO" without any hesitance. I explained my little girl needs the restroom very severely. She continues said "I have a group of 20 people working here. I couldn't go to open the front door for you." "My little one needs the restroom very badly, just please do a favor?" I said in a begging voice. "Sorry, the call will be cut." After then, they cut off the call. My little girl can't hold anymore. So I called again. She answered again, the same answer, even I repeated and repeated, my little girl needs a restroom. She still cut off the call. Any mother knows four-year-old kids cannot hold a very long time, and I believe as well as the lady that answered my call. And my friend in the car feels so surprised and said, "They couldn't do this to a kid." So she called through phone, and the lady answered the phone, the same answer even after my friends said, "The kid has an emergency and needs the restroom badly. You could not close the door like this." After that, we still didn't get into the door. My girl couldn't hold any more. We HAD TO find an embarrassing place to let her go. I felt so sorry for her!As mothers, my friend and I felt very disappointed and upset for Peeka Ranch workers. They have people who worked there and also open for reservation. As we walked in, we understood, but why not just open the door for the mother who forgot to check the website, and the little kid needs to go to the restroom. And we will leave without any disturbance. After we CALLED AND CALLED TO EXPLAIN, they have TWENTY workers there, and they even didn't think about any way to help. During our way home, my little girl asked me,” Why didn’t they open the door?” I still want them to feel being cared, so I replied, “I'm sorry for forgetting to make a reservation.” I called again and wanted to talk to someone working at Peeka Ranch to remind them to update the information on Google Maps, but no one answered. The voice in the voice message was very friendly. I wish that we were treated that nicely. This world, people are so busy to just care about their own business. I always want to show my kids, there still are many people caring about others, even animals. That's why I'd like to take my kids to the ranches, even if it takes driving. People always shows their love and caring heart to my kids. I believe Peeka Ranch also would like to teach kids about caring and loving to open this ranch, but why didn't they show they're caring about kids?Today, this is really a little bitter experience for us. I hope everything will become better after these difficult times. God bless you!

This place was really neat to visit! We came to the blue bell factory and they had a link to things to do in and around Brenham, TX which is how I found out about this place! We stopped by on a Saturday and they let us feed the alpacas and pet them up close. We learned about alpacas and the business they have going on with them. Their store was also really neat! A lot of the stuff was made from the alpacas from their farm. They were also nice enough to give us some food suggestions as well before we headed out to find dinner.

Great for the whole family. It something different for those who aren't familiar with Alpacas. Plus it a great husband and wife team, who runs I the ranch and true loves, being apart of something so unique and special in this close knit community.

Fun day trip - you get to pet and feed the alpacas and they have a good selection of alpaca wool products to buy in their store. They say that after Thanksgiving there should be quite a few baby alpacas.

I was treated to a day in Brenham on the Tuesday after Mother's Day. Both of my grown son's got the day off, and took me down there to see the Alpacas and buy some fiber if available. We called and got an answering machine. It was supposed to be open, but we arrived and it was not. It was extremely disappointing.
