Stopped by on a Saturday for a nice patio lunch as the weather was perfect. There's 2 separate patios and indoor eating areas. Line was getting long inside, so they explained you can pick any table and they'll come take your order.All the staff was very friendly and worked well together. They were very efficient in taking orders, delivering the orders, checking on guests, then cleaning the tables for the next guests.All the pastries and bakery items looked so good inside, but had to be good and wait until after my lunch. The menu consisted primarily of breakfast items, salads, and sandwiches. Ordered the Hatch Club sandwich and Berry Chicken Salad for lunch. Both items were very fresh and were generously filled with all the ingredients. After the meal, ordered the Blueberry Scone and the Cherry Cream Cheese Strudel. The sandwich and salad were delicious, but I was even more impressed with the Scone and Strudel. The pastries were so soft and fluffy, even the scone was flaky without being dry. I could come here every weekend for a light lunch followed by a delicious dessert.Great food and service.

Man oh man, this place is a gem! If you’re ever in the area, it’s a must stop visit. The staff is so friendly and remember their customers. Their takeout is just as good as sitting to eat. The bakery goods are so fresh and soft, buttery and melt in your mouth. I went for the first time a few days ago and mentioned it to the lady taking orders.. she was right when she said “this won’t be the last time either”. I’m hooked 😆Their teas and cucumber lemonade is very refreshing, they have a great menu too!Vegetarian options: Handful of salads

A wonderfully quaint bakery and cafe with numerous options. I wanted to try everything on the menu. I had an omelette with ham, fresh mushrooms, spinach and Swiss cheese. My husband had the breakfast sandwich. Both were exceptionally delicious. We also tried a sausage kolache and cranberry almond scone - also delicious!Breakfast was so good, we returned a few hours later, placing an online order for lunch. The chicken salad is one of the best I’ve tried. I ordered one scoop and wish I ordered two.We will definitely return.

Absolutely lovely place, friendly and attentive staff and management. It has a kind of European feel to it, and the food selections are visually appealing and tasty. I had the Jalapeno, chedder, sausage kolaches and mom had the chicken salad sandwich. She loved the homemade bread as a lovely touch. Great coffee too! Highly recommend.Parking: We arrived around 10am and the parking was slim but were able to find a spot. By 1130am when leaving the parking had opened up quite a bitWheelchair accessibility: Ramps to doorways instead of stairs.

A friend and I go out to brunch weekly. We were looking forward to visiting Hatch Cafe and Bakery (in Bulverde, Tx) and were pleasantly impressed. She had a breakfast sandwich with a latte and I had a breakfast plate with a mocha coffee. We visited the bakery next door which was part of the restaurant separated by an outside tree shaded patio. This establishment has a ramped entrance as well. The bakery offers muffins, kolaches and other baked goods as well as kitchen items and decorative mugs and seasonal items.Parking: Large gravel lot at the side of the bakery/cafe.Wheelchair accessibility: This establishment has a ramped side entrance to the main porch area and ramps into both the bakery and small restaurant.

Best hospitality ever... on top of the delicious food and small town Bulverde style, **I lost my retainer like an idiot** and they had absolutely no hesitation in fully helping me search for it. Genuinely made me feel like family. :,) so so so SO appreciative and we were able to find them.The horchata latte & quiche are also amazing. The foam on their lattes is so thick and the drink was rich and delicious. I can't wait to come back and NOT lose my Invisalign this time. :,) thanks a million.

Always pass this place by in a hurry to get somewhere. Yesterday took time to drop in a little before lunchtime. We were really just curious and wanted to order drinks but weren’t familiar with the menu. We stood aside to let others order and a super nice lady came from behind the counter to make sure she was ready to start our order when we decided. Very attentive. Delicious Hibiscus tea and matcha iced tea. Yum. Super cozy place, very quaint. As we left the guy sitting on the porch was enjoying a massive BLT (looked incredible!) Next time 👍🏼

We headed to Bulverde for our lunch @hatch5market. It was a small and intimate place with a large lunch crowd. Line quickly formed! They are expanding their space soon.I got Dad the Ham & Brie sandwich meal with a cup of tomato soup, a chocolate chip cookie, and Strawberry Lemonade. My husband had the Italian sandwich meal with chips, chocolate chip cookie, and iced tea. I had the Chicken Salad sandwich, chips, and Hibiscus tea. Everything was delicious and filling! Thankful for the shaded patio area.

The charm in these two buildings ranks up there with a chic farmhouse meet boho. Much of the artwork on the walls is for sale and produced by local artists. There are also some beautiful Christian mugs and signage for sale.The ABLT salad is FANTASTIC!!! Crunchy bacon, avocado, and cherry tomatoes round out this delightful salad, topped with a balsamic & oil dressing. It's filling with a nice crunch to round out the meal. My husband lives the ham & bree salad with the pineapple jalapeno relish that lends a little sweet spice to the cheese, ham, and apple slices. You cannot go wrong with either salad!

I stopped by for lunch and decided to order an Italian Sandwich meal. The meal combo comes with a side, drink and a sweet (Cookies). The sandwich was excellent and tasty; I wanted the soup but had to settle for veggies sticks... Now that I remember, I didn't get the chocolate chips cookies... 🤦🏻‍♂️Anyway, cozy little place with good food and friendly staffs. The seating could be a challenge if arrive with a larger party. Overall, I will definitely revisit next time I'm around.

Nice place for lunch. Healthy options. My guest enjoyed the BBQ sandwich on house bread with vegetable soup. I chose the small caprese salad on a bed of spinach. Salad was great! The veggie soup was probably one of the best I've had. House bread was really good. Nice little gem of a place. We were lucky to get a seat inside on a hot day. It seemed the rush died around 12:30pm. Support local!

We were kind of exploring the area on our anniversary trip and came across this place. Absolutely delicious!!! Best idea ever!!! Best club I've ever had. Every bit of it was perfection, the cookie was amazing. Soft. Chewy, crunchy but still kind of doughy in the middle. Absolutely perfection. Coffee was so good!!!! Cannot recommend enough.

Wonderfully quaint & cozy cafe with a great & delicious selection of breakfast & lunch foods. The quiche was amazing. They also have wonderful sandwiches on freshly baked bread and rolls. This cafe has a wonderful vibe and great ambience. It’s a hidden gem that you could almost miss when driving. Definitely a must try when in Bulverde. Also there is nearby shopping in cute shops.

Outstanding service and food. We went for the first time today. My husband had the chicken and Brie sandwich and I had their club sandwich. The meals came with chips or fruit, drinks and a cookie. For dessert we ordered the lemon cheesecake. Everything is cooked from scratch in their tiny kitchen. We will be going back pretty soon just to taste more sandwiches.

I had a wonderful experience at this cafe. The breakfast sandwich was delicious and the cappuccino was smooth and creamy. Our waiter Liz was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. I was very impressed by the service and the quality of the food. I will surely come back again and recommend this place to my friends.

Love, love this quaint gem of a bakery in downtown Bulverde. The breakfast croissants are so flaky with the buttery cheesy eggs and other fresh ingredients. The owner, Catalina, makes you feel so welcome along with her staff. I love lunch there also and usually order the quiche and salad. Don't forget to take home some of her delicious bakery items. Yumm!!

I went to pick up a catering order and was running late. Got there just as they were closing. I told them I was planning to buy something for me to eat as I hadn’t eaten yet. They had closed down the register. They were so nice, they gave me a sandwich and did not charge me even though I insisted. And may I tell you this sandwich will go down on the list of one of the best things I have ever tasted.Thank you for being kind and generous and the exquisite food. I can’t wait to go back and order this again with my kids.

A store owner recommend this place for lunch. It’s small, but quaint. You wait in line to order your food and then find a place to sit. There’s indoor & outdoor seating. Staff are friendly and working hard. All the food is fresh and made to order. There is a bakery section with pre-made items available for purchase. The salads & flavored lemonades were delicious! I can’t wait to go back!

This cozy bakery was great for our Saturday. We just started driving home from Guadalupe River State Park and decided we were hungry for lunch. We looked on google maps for open restaurants. We eventually found this great place in downtown Bulverde. It was a short drive and on our route back to San Antonio. We got to the place around 1:20pm, 40 minutes before closing. The employees there were REALLY nice!! We sat outside since it was a nice day, and one of the employees was really kind to give us an automatic fly swatter fan because there was some flies outside. It worked pretty well, and we were glad we had it. I ordered the Italian Sandwich with chips and a choc. chip cookie, and it was really good! I asked for a few toppings off and they did it great. After ordering at the counter, we asked for a sample of hibiscus candy which was surprisingly really good. Once we got our food, (which was pretty fast, it came out from 5-12 mins for 3 sandwich meals) I could taste the pesto in the sandwich which was really amazing! The chips were kettle and were REALLY good 😋! We also ordered some hibiscus tea which was also a great drink that I really loved. It wasn’t too sweet, and wasn’t too plain, but it did taste like more hibiscus than tea. When we left, they had free plastic to-go bags to take, which was really helpful because we had leftover food. Overall, 5 out of 5! Love this place!

Such a cute little market! It's located right down the street from Anderson Aviation and Bulverde Community Park, both great places to visit in the area. The employees have a very down home friendly vibe, which is really pleasant these days, and I've heard the breakfast and lunch items are amazing. We only ordered lattes and snacks this time around, but if I come back, I would love to visit this quaint little market again and try more selections.

We arrived a little too late for breakfast, so ordered sandwiches instead. Generous portion on the chicken salad and I enjoyed the chopped up 'real' ham vs deli ham/water product I was expecting. Tomato bisque was good, and although I was hoping for a muffin with our meal deals, they came with cookies which were still delicious. (They may have been out of muffins already). Fantastic breads!
