Dr. Alexander is always straight forward, honest and the best Veterinarian ever. Our family appreciates all he and his staff provides. Thank you Dr. A for all you do.

I recently had to take my dog to an emergency clinic while out of town & she was kept several days & treated for pancreatitis. When released, she was sent home with a Purina Brand low fat food. Now home, I’m trying to call around locally to find this dog food. It is sold in pet stores, the pet stores just don’t have the specific “weight management “ formula that my dog needs. I was told by this clinic that they cannot sell dog food to me because I’m not their client. Unsure is they even carry the food I need, however the reception said she would check. Why bother…if you won’t sell it to me!! I work in the medical field & this is ridiculous…it’s dog food, not narcotics. WOW.

I used this vet at recommendation of a family member. I brought in my faithful companion of 12 years knowing it was the time to let him permanently rest. Even though they had never met me or my sweet pup, they made us feel like family. Wiped tears, hugged, put fears to rest. Darline was outstanding! The doc was compassionate. I can’t recommend them enough!

Dr. Taylor Strange is *the best* veterinarian our dog had ever seen. Don't let her youthful appearance fool you; she *really* knows her stuff! She helped us to prolong our little dog's life, keeping her comfortable until the end. No one could've handled that final appointment better. From the vet techs to the front office staff, every employee at this clinic has been an absolute pleasure to know.

My puppy was extremely sick and the doctor refused to do an xray. He only treated the symptoms instead of finding the cause. he kept him over the weekend and sent him home with meds, the next Wednesday we took him back and he said he looks good. yesterday I took him to a different vet who performed emergency surgery for a hernia and blocked intestines and we are still praying that the new treatment saves his life. if we had listened to this vet our puppy would have died!

I took my cat in for an emergency that she couldnt pass her kittens and the one she did have died. They got an xray and gave her meds to pass her baby. it took all of about an hour and they were very loving to her and quick to hel her. they gave me meds for any kind of infection she might get and she recovered quickly. also just recently adopted a rescue and they took such great care of him. This is one of the best and reasonably priced vets i have ever used!! highly recommend!

Besides the fact that Dr. Alexander is amazing, the staff at the Bullard location and the Jacksonville location are so kind and caring. Very personable. Thank you always!! This last incident with my Skye shows how much they care. Paige called me 3 times over the weekend to check on my baby after she suffered what I initially thought was a snakebite. I highly recommend this clinic!

We usually come see this vet from the tyler area but the last couple of times we've been here we've been very upset with this place. Extremely long wait time even after they reached out to me that my puppy was ready to be released. The vet is very moody and very condescending and almost smirks when you tell him what you think should be done. He wants to do things his way even thought there are many options in many cases of ways to do things. They just want to do it their way and upcharge you for every little thing that is sometimes not necessary. I was very disappointed in my visit and will no longer take my dog to this vet.

I called this morning to see if they can fit in my puppy for a last minute appointment. Angela answered the phone and was extremely kind and said if I'll get there at 8 they can definitely fit me in. Everyone there was extremely kind to my puppy and the doctor took great care of her. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes and the price was more than reasonable! My husband and I will be bringing both of our dogs there now on a regular basis! Thank you so much!!!!

After paying over $10,000 in vet bills over a three month period, we attempted to intake a puppy with parvovirus for hospitalization. This vet refused to intake her as we had a outstanding bill of $400 from the previous evening, a Sunday evening when banks are closed. This action may very well cause the death of this puppy due to a one day delay in payment. After 4 months with this vet and considerable expenses we are giving up on them and find a vet in Tyler. Very disappointed in the behavior of this clinic, I believe to be unethical.

Very good service! They took very good care of our dog, Belle and were very sympathetic when we had to put her down in 2019. They have taken care of both Belle and Tex. We got Tex in 2015. After he contracted Parvo in 2015, shortly after we got him, they treated him and helped him get better. Thank you everyone at Our Family Vet!

I was referred to Bullard veterinary Medical center by a friend and I’m glad I was. I brought my new puppy, Duke, here last week for his first "check-up" after picking him up the day before. I was told he was healthy by the people I got him from but figured I would take him to a vet anyway. Glad I did! During the routine visit I found out he had kennel cough, and thankfully we caught it early! Dr. Alexander was great and started him on a comprehensive treatment plan immediately. They even called this morning to check and see how he was doing! I am super impressed and very glad that I chose Bullard for his care!

This place is phenomenal. Our Boston Terrier, Dexter, lost all his fur and so we started taking him in for thyroid and liver issues. Then, he had a stroke. They kept him 2 straight days and was SO caring towards us and him. We were nervous he would be scared, but afterwards, they assured us how much they spoiled him. He lost all neuro capacity so we took him home for one night. The next day, we knew it was time for him to leave us as he was suffering too badly. The staff was so loving towards us and made sure that we, and Dexter, were okay during and after. Upon retrieval of his remains, I was expecting just a box of ashes. Instead, we received certificates, a poem, his fur in a pretty bag, a beautiful wooden box, and a steel coin that was cremated with him. When I picked him up, they made sure to stop me and tell me how they grew to love him in his final days, and just how sweet he was. They are truly the most loving and compassionate people. He was "let go" at their sister office in Jville, and even though those ppl didn't know us, their compassion was far more than we ever expected. I wouldn't expect any less, but I certainly did not expect to be treated with this much love. Thank you all to everyone. Your words and compassion have not gone unnoticed.

If I could give negative stars I would. We adopted a puppy from Pets fur People and part of the adoption cost was getting her fixed when she was old enough. My wife took our puppy to Bullard Vet Clinic and was treated like a 2nd rate citizen when she dropped her off and picked her up. They took several of their regular clients ahead of my wife even though she was there before the time they said to arrive. Regular customers were told they would get phone call from doctor before, during and after surgery giving updates. When my wife asked if they could call her afterwards and let her know how things went she was told they have too many shelter dogs and she could pick her up between 3:30 and 5:30. When she got there to pick her up they gave her papers and rabies certificate. She then informed them that if they would have paid attention they would have seen she had already had vaccination from our "regular" vet 2 weeks ago. My wife then asked about any pain medicine and the response was they have pain medicine but she does not need any. We will not take any animals to this clinic again and will inform anyone with a "shelter dog" to not go there. SHE IS OUR DOG AND A MEMEBER IF OUR FAMILY. NOT A "SHELTER DOG".

I dropped my dog, Samson, off at this clinic on a Friday because he was lethargic and refusing food. They began treatment for a possible kidney infection that day and continued through all of Saturday and Sunday. On Monday they said the main doctor had jury duty and they wanted to run different tests that evening because Samson hadn’t responded to treatment yet.He was dead an hour later.I get it. These things happen. It sucks. Even if he was only 5 years old.So when we went to pick him up the next day we’re informed $400 is due on top of the already paid $250 deposit. Not sure about anyone else, but doesn’t sound like we received any kind of discount for two and a half days of treatment, and him dying while in their care.$650 for a dead dog.For comparison’s sake, when I was in Houston and my friend had to take his dogs into the vet for routine shots another family came out crying. Their dog had been in the Foster Creek Veterinary center in Richmond for two days and as they were releasing him he gave out and died in the back room (he was much older). In the reception area the owner said, “Of course, there will be no charge.”Not, “And that will be $400 more.”I’ll never let another animal of mine near this clinic, or anyone’s that I personally know. They wouldn’t even allow us to be billed and release him so we could take care of the body in the meantime. All money was due there and then before he was to be released. This place feels heartless, and I am glad I will never have to set foot there again.

Doc Alexander and his Staff are absolutely wonderful!! We brought in my 13 yr. old daughters show pig that was badly burned in a fire, and they all took such good around the clock care of our Maple. Recommend this place times 10 to anyone, no matter the animal.

I just moved to Bullard from the Houston area. I have 3 dogs and a cat. One of the dogs required 4 treatments for heartworms and I can say that they treated my dog as if it was one their own. I had the same vet in Houston for 35 years and the folks here in Bullard treated my dog just like my old vet would have. Follow up calls to check on him and the cost was much less than in Houston. I red a couple of reviews before I went to the Bullard medical center and I am very glad I chose them.

They very graciously saw our 17 year old Shih Tzu when we were returning home from being evacuated due to a hurricane! We realized she had an ear infection & was miserable! They were so sweet to see us quickly & to take great care of her!

If you want to establish a relationship with one vet, then in my experience you'll need to go elsewhere. I scheduled an exam for my dog two weeks ago emphasizing I wanted him to be seen by the same vet each time . We agreed on the vet that had last saw him & scheduled accordingly. So, was surprised to get a different vet, in fact was told the vet I was scheduled to see was in Jacksonville. Frustrating. O.k., scheduled the follow up exam to be wth the vet that did see him for the same day of the week, at the same time to assure follow up was with same. Very disappointed and frustrated when an even different vet showed up. No real apology, just "oh that vet is in Jacksonville today".My dog has an untreatable progressive disease and the clinic has his records, so rather than starting over elsewhere I will see Him thru with BVH. However, this is not the type of relationship I want with the vet that treats my animals so I will move on. I am not questioning the competency of the vets just saying their system does not work for me.
