I frequent this location often and I have never encountered an issue until now. The cashier stopped helping the customer that he was assisting, to come to the self-checkout to watch me scan my items. He was standing too close that it made me feel uncomfortable. I asked him what he was doing and he answered, “I have to stand over you to watch you scan every time.” Me, standing in my military uniform, looked at him with a confused look and asked him “what is the point of the camera if you have to stand over me and watch me.” He stated, “If people didn’t steal then I wouldn’t have to watch.” I was very uncomfortable with the entire transaction, so I asked him to scoot back and give me 6ft. He was very polite about it, which I appreciated. I’m sure that he was working under direct orders from management, so I will not fault him. However, I refuse to be treated like a criminal while shopping at dollar general. I will not return to this location.

The staff at this location is very helpful. Store is clean and well stock. I usually can find things here, I can't find at local grocery store. Manager kept the community informed during the snowpocalype as to when the store would be opened and if they had product.

Ever once in awhile I go into this store for last min gifts and never have I ever felt so uncomfortable being in there they never greeted us first off… I literally felt like I couldn’t shop without eyes all over me and my husband We ended up walking out .. as we got into our car one the employees stuck there head out the door!? I ended up confronting them because that really did bother me and after I asked why she was following us her answer was it’s her job! … what the heck!?

Under new management and the staff is pretty great. Happy to be shopping here again.You couldn’t find a less friendly staff anywhere. There are 3 very old men and one very old woman who all treat you like absolute dirt when they check you out. Karen is very kind and does her job very well, but those 4 old cranky and cantankerous folks need a lesson in professionalism and customer service. I would like to point out Robert as being one of the rudest, most unprofessional and unpleasant retail clerks I have ever experienced. I can’t believe he still has a job.

I would like to say this store is great, & it used to be in my opinion. However, my perspective has changed. The female manager is never, EVER friendly to me, & sometimes she is downright rude. I have heard her be friendly to other shoppers, so I know she is capable of it, but I've never been on the receiving end. I have tried smiling & saying things like "have a good day" or "see you next time" as u leave, but the gesture is never returned. If there was another option dollar store option in Bullard, I would opt out if this one, at least until managment changes.

Went here in Bullard for dog food when the Brookshire's had closed at 6pm. They had exactly what I needed plus a car charger for my android phone. They have comparable prices and the lady at the checkout was really nice!

This store is great to have in our little town. It has saved me from driving 20 miles to Tyler for small items many times. Friendly staff, great hours and a vast selection of merchandise.

The dollar store in Bullard is too crowded, they have the cat food into different aisles you couldn't find anything their prices are way too high higher than any one other dollar store that I have been in they need to lower their prices like the other stores, the service is good but the store is just way too bunched up. I will not be back to that store.

The refrigerated and frozen section was wiped out with hardly any product at all..Other than that. The service was good and the cashier was friendly..

It's impossible to shop here, they always have carts full of their stock in the aisles blocking everything, and you definitely can't shop with a buggy.

Convenient, clean, good competion for Walmart and Brookshires. Not all, but most of the prices are better than the competition. Employees are very nice.

Apparently the night staff feels its okay to lock the door early. I tried to enter the store in Bullard TX at 9:49 pm on 2-12-2020. Doors were locked and employee walking like he didnt see me.
