I live in Wisconsin for almost 2 years and came to Brownsville and I see the difference in PetSmart there's no organisation you will wait 10 to 30 min for some one to come to you they are not very informative with the animals or insects but if you know your stuff you'll be fine but if your new with what ever your getting sorry but there will not help you to much

It's fun to look at the fish, birds, guinea pigs, lizards, geckos, frogs, cats and dogs. What I don't think is fun to look at are the snakes and crickets (I assume they're for food, but I wouldn't mind adopting a rescue cricket for the experience. Can you imagine the stories you can tell your friends when they come over... 🙄). They are pet friendly (hence the name?), And you can even take your own dog in with you. There is a little potty area for dogs right outside the store door (waste pick up bags included for free (it's a rare treat to get a freebie now a days)).

The prices for the food and treats for my dog are lower than some other places, I like how I can earn points while purchasing. Took my dog for a bath and trim and was well taken care of.

The people here are very nice. I was going through a tough time with one of my cats and they took the time out of their day to offer some advice on what I could do to help him. He's doing a lot better now due to the research that I did and the advice that they gave!

Reason for 3 stars and not 5 is because this petsmart is always so busy and yet usually only one register is open. I think they can have more workers in the other registers to speed things along especially because some customers like taking their sweet time when checking out and on top of that they start making conversation with the register employees lol. Now hear me out… I hope that in the near future the “self-checkout” thing is implemented into petsmart, I think it would be an amazing idea and I’m sure customers would appreciate it as much as employees would too… (or even another petsmart location would be great) just saying. Also it’s usually hot inside this petsmart and I honestly hate having to go and stand in line while I’m sweating lol.

Took my wheaten terrier for his monthly grooming. My groomer, Iesha is the very best. Perfect groom. Highly recommend Petsmart in Brownsville TX.

Staff was somewhat knowledgeable. Gave me the time I needed even though they were quite busy on this particular visit. I had a few questions. She answered all of them. I bought a ball python and a new starter tank kit. Plus some other stuff. Dropped about $500 in one shot.Will come back again 👏👏

Manager Kassy was very helpful when i wanted to adopt a cat and let me play and handle them and answered all my questions. she said she’d hold one for me that i was very happy with i just wanted to go ask my parents and coworkers what they thought since i see them everyday. they all got very excited and we went back within the next hour. when we arrived she took 30 mins to see us and said she gave it away to someone else because i was looking at the other animals in the store. i think it was very unprofessional to break her words that she promised to keep it till the end of the day- and also that she didn’t take responsibility for her actions and placed the blame on me. it ruined my day.

There is a 1/4 inch thick layer of dust/dirt on top of the number placards at each register. I tried notifying a manager, but none was around. I told the young lady ringing me up at the register, but she dismissed my concern. I also tried calling the store & after the prompts instructed me to press zero for assistance, the phone rang non-stop for at least 5 minutes with no answer. They need to work on their cleanliness & their customer service skills.

They've implemented some safety precautions, like set lines in order to view and acquire fish and markings for social distancing. It's just as clean and efficient as ever. There are never many cashier's working at once but lines go fast, so that's not a problem. Workers are polite and always greet customers coming in. They've got everything from toys to grooming products to food and accessories/leashes/ collars. The food selection is excellent for every animal they provide for.

I go in and get exactly what I need. The lines on weekends are sometimes a bit long. The cashiers have to stop what they are doing to great every customer. Evidently they have never heard of the 10/10 rule. Because these greetings are often yelled from across the store.
