Bought the "Fast as You" shirt online. The shirt design is perfect - the fit is great - but the softness and feel of the shirt is the best. The shirt came very quickly and was carefully packaged. This shop has perfected customer service. Can't wait to see what they have next. Will have to stop in their shop on my next trip to Austin!

Our favorite stop in Brenham. It’s always worth the trip. We’ve even converted our extended family who now orders regularly from out of state via their online shop. Ballad of the Bird Dog is all around amazing and we can’t say enough positive things about the staff, the quality of the goods, and the sweet sweet dogs.

I finally had the opportunity to visit the absolute cutest shop in downtown Brenham. Great merchandise, coffee, and staff. I highly recommend visiting Ballad of the Bird Dog if you’re in the area. Not to mention they have the sweetest/coolest pups.. always a bonus in my eyes.. highly recommended

Push the door. 😂I really just needed coffee this morning but try as I may, couldn’t get the door to open. Just needed a gentle push! As opposed to the hardy pull I gave it. Haha.Great coffee. Good service. Nifty little boutique shop with caps and clothing, collectibles and gifts. Cute pups lying around waiting for pets. 10/10 will return.

High quality items with Lots of originals. The hand soap is my most favorite smell of all time for a soap. I would go out of my way to stop by. No attention to detail spared in the construction of the place as well.

This coffee shop in the historic town of Brenham is an amazing find! The baristas are super friendly and do an amazing job and the coffee is fantastic. I definitely recommended anytime your nearby or just want to get away from the big city for a while. A great place to stop, work or just relax. 5 star!!

From the outside, i thought this was just a coffee shop so I ventured in for a coffee before I hit the road back to Houston. Walked in and was greeted by 2 friendly dogs. 5 stars right there. Then noticed that the trendy clothing and accessories for both men and women, not to mention the home goods and leather wares.All in all a really cool contemporary shop with coffee and a lounge in the back. Will def be back on my next visit to Brenham to do some shopping.

Dogs were cool, store smelled good but was small with a small selection of products. Products they did have were good quality though. I will say the other reviews really hyped it up and left me a little underwhelmed.

My husband and I are new to the area, escaping city life. We were looking for a good coffee and stumbled upon Ballad of the Bird Dog. Not only was the coffee delicious, but the shop was perfect. Everything they curated to fill this place was unique and quality. Not like most small town boutique shops you see, with very similar/if not the same products. We spent almost an hour looking around, shopping, and talking with the owners, who seem like great people. Highly recommend checking this spot out! We'll be back to support this small business!!!

Took a day trip with friends and happened upon this incredible store. Definitely a one-of-kind experience. Imagine being surrounded my unique gifts and products everywhere you look?! Did I mention the high class coffee? We had a lavender oat milk flat white and a decaf iced latte. Very good quality.Store owners Jared and Kathleen were both engaged and quite knowledgeable about the coffee. I will be taking their recommendations seriously. What a breath of fresh air. I adore this shop! I pop in every time I am in Brenham to grab a coffee (the not-too-sweet mocha is my absolute favorite), my boys want to stop in to see the sweet dogs that are normally there, and I grab a hat/shirt or some of my now favorite safer skincare products. It is such a fun place!!!

Well this is a no brainer... I drive from Houston to go visit the store every few months... and to go back, ever since discovering them, I take 290 to Austin just to make the trip more enjoyable... with great hot chocolates at Mescalito Coffee, their hospitality and well pretty much anything I've purchased there is of quality and beautifully curated. And the doggies are such joy to be around, when there. Oh and you can just sit there and work on the computer if you feel like. I love this store and the people that run it. The environment is comfortable, cozy and beautiful.

Love this place! I stopped by on the way back to Austin from Houston for a cup of coffee... I ended up staying and studying for like 4 hours (and they let me have my dog in there too!). They have super cute and unique gifts, and I got most of my Christmas shopping done all in one place! And the coffee was good too. And their dogs were cute. And the staff was all so nice! Can't say good enough things about this place. Catch me stopping by every time I'm driving through! 12/10

I love their coffee, and it’s always great to walk around the store while they’re making the coffee to look at all their merchandise. I have bought several shaving products from them including a shaving bowl, brush, balm; and pre-shave oil. All of them have been fantastic—high quality and a decent price. The name of the business was eye catching, and once I read their story I felt compelled to purchase through them instead of one of the larger retailers. Since, I received email communications from them that have a warm and personal feel to them, and hours after placing my order I received a shipment notification. The store is absolutely gorgeous and the people that work there are so friendly and helpful! Definitely snag a coffee while your there! I’m not from Brenham so if I ever need anything their website is great and I can call if I want to see if they have or will be getting in something in a certain size that’s not on the sight. Great customer service. A must do in Brenham!

Always good products. I especially love their candles! They smell amazing and burn very well, lasting much longer than other candles I've used. The incense matches are also very cool. Love the Sandalwood.

Ballad of the Bird Dog is an exceptionally cool store with men's wares and unique items for the home/office. Good selection of Howler Bros. clothing. Great coffee made in store and can even get a haircut in the back. Got a great new Ballad hat and a candle for the office. I'll be back each time I'm in Brenham. Amazing selection of items for the home, for travel, for grooming, and all stellar quality. The Ballad of the Bird Dog is completely well thought out through and through. In return, you get an incredible experience with great customer service and to top it all off, they have an amazing selection of coffee as well. I would def consider a major stop for tourists and any guests staying in Brenham or traveling though Texas.

Warm and inviting, absolutely lovely locally owned and super well done shop in downtown Brenham . Fab coffee and pop up barbers in the back of this historic building. Bonus: the shop dog/s are super sweet and friendly too. Lots of high end local-ish makers and very well selected items. Also some sweet affordable options that feel special. Something for everyone.

My wife and I were in Brenham for a wedding and just happened to walk into Bird Dog. We ended up each getting some of the softest t shirts either of us own, each with it’s own Bird Dog logo. Highly recommend their merchandise and the employees are personable and friendly!
