YES 5 STARS FOR THIS BUSINESS--OK Y'ALL-- Today I have come to point THAT I can't stay quiet ANY LONGER. I may be stirring up the beehive with this BUT here it goes:I am adding this (hesitantly) but THIS HAS really gotten out of control, this spring, TODAY : with the fertilizer-grinding! ALL THIS smoke/dust & the constant loud noise, OMG. It has become TOO MUCH to tolerate or ignore, honestly. In fact, its way-worse than previous years & it needs to be corrected, somehow!!!Firstly, I want to state that I have always had very efficient & friendly service from the employees& managers at the feed store here. They helped us tremendously last year especially! The owner is wonderful & kind gentleman as well. So, perhaps he is unaware of this situation or how its gotten out of control now.It is a-given that, for many years, every spring (& fall) it is a necessity for fertilizer to be ground for the local farmers...Fact.It is also a-given that, the feed store has always provided this service & it may be a substantial part of their business profits...Fact.Yet, this spring has already begun un-normaly, or rather UN-managed, I think. As the sound-level of the grinder/machine has definitely become extremely loud (!?!) to the point that it makes my ears ring! And I'm indoors! AND it goes on for hours, not just alittle while, constantly!This will continue for about a month typically, gradually thru the summer...Fact.Now the past 2 years, it has become ALOT louder & constant! This can be heard thru closed windows/doors, with window unit & tv on- thats too loud now! AND my alarm clock IS THEIR grinder machine @8am or earlier! Hey y'all, some of us DO work nights & part of the supply-chain too, Fact. Farmers do begin at dawn, I know- but give me a break, please!?All joking aside, this has become a serious environmental issue AS the entire neighborhood all around feed store & up-to 114 ( including in the barns/garage here ) ARE filled with smoke & heavy fertilizer dust! I can taste it inside the house & eyes burn!NOW, I am motivated to make this public & its more than just a nuisance! This affects us on many levels & problematic. This is not acceptable & I'm not posting to offend anyone, its health issue now.THIS may be my best option to effectively "complain" or rather, make it public. It's not really complaining if it is the truth though. Also, I shouldn't "need to" defend myself because IT IS easy to see there is a problem that hasn't been corrected. Being rational, it is easily identifiable THE IMPACT on so.many levels today! Just to breath clean air for one! This goes without saying, that noise level defitely oversteps the EPA's acceptable levels; & the "duration" has constantly & repeatedly interfered with quality of life & that dust IS bad!I'll be the first to stand up for businesses that have sustained Boyd for years- & the farmers rely upon local feedstore for their farms to survive/thrive. Yet, this is the 21st Century & I seriously doubt that anyone should "have to" tolerate the taste of fertilizer every morning NOR have any hours of sleep to be interrupted!In our community, mutual respect & being considerate also means its ok the stand up for things. Perhaps now that I have explained all this, no one will take offense or begrudge the rights to not "have-to" wake up to smoke & dust in our living areas NOR "have-to" just accept ALL the hours, daily, of grinding that has become 100×s louder than normal! And the basic right to be able to enjoy living life- right here- without intrusion upon common courtesies...Perhaps I should feel embarrassed for this, BUT not as embarrassed as the ones who are overstepping & irresponsible! I know the "good ole boy codes" & I have alot of respect for our local businesses- its reasonable-enough to know WHEN its time to stand up & make a fuss- HOWEVER/ WHENEVER its appropriate. It is now. Just taste the fertilizer dust yourself!Is this enough evidence to get a solution? Hope it is, we have to find ways to co-exist, Thank you for your time!

Always fast, friendly and accurate. A happy surprise when one of the nice gentlemen helped me bag up bulk seed and potatoes. A rarity to find friendly helpful personnel. I highly recommend!

Great service,I'm from a very small town in southeast Texas and this place reminds me of home,I love the way feed stores smell and Russells and big chain stores don't cut it for me! In love with this place!

It's a feed store and they sell feed. Good bunch of guys. We've been going there for the better part of the decades. If you are near Boyd and need feed, this is the place to go.

I am in there every week to buy hay and other feed. I actual go for several people that I help out for. I used to highly recommend them but lately the owner has been so mean and rude that I will no longer recommend them as a feed store.
