We recently had to have our sweet Roxy put down due to incurable cancer. The diagnosis was horrible and we were heart broken. The staff and doctors were so amazing and caring. The day we took her in to have her put down Dr. Hillhouse took time to explain everything to us and helped us come to terms with loosing a member of our family. Dr. Hillhouse even sent a very sweet card with her condolences.

I scheduled an appointment about 2 weeks ago for an annual check up for a dog I'm watching. The appointment was scheduled for 10:30. I arrived at 10:20 only to be told the appointment was rescheduled for 10:50. I was never informed about the reschedule. I was not even given a confirmation call about the appointment. While I was in the office. I witnessed the staff calling other customers to confirm appointment times. Why did they fail completely at any of their responsibilities? Why did I witness 8-10 other people arrive after I and her immediately ushered into the exam area. To make matters worse. The staff locked me and my dogs in an empty exam room and told me to wait, that I was next in line. After that I saw that 4 other people were ushered into the exam rooms and were being treated. I walked out of the room they tried to lock me in only to watch another person walk in the front door and their dog was immediately scooped up and ushered to another exam room. Right in front of my face. Over 35 minutes after my appointment was scheduled and they were still helping everyone else. I called to talk to the office manager. Who had nothing helpful to do or say. I have sever spinal cord injuries, multiple traumatic brain injuries, mobility issues. I'm very severely disabled and was forced to sit and wait, all for nothing. I had to leave because my disabilities were getting so badly exacerbated. No employee appeared to care at all. I was taking a dog in who I am caring for while his owner is getting cancer treatment. THIS IS HORRIBLE TO DO TO A DISABLED MAN ONLY TAKING CARE OF ANOTHER SICK PERSON'S DOG.

If you love your pets, this is the place to take them. The staff here really loves animals and are very skilled in veterinary medicine. The prices are very competitive and the care your pet will receive is outstanding. We have boarded our dogs here and they almost didn't want to leave, because they loved it so much.

I took my pup here on 2-1-23, because of parvo, but it was too late for him. The staff here was very nice and understanding. I will return for my other pets. That said, if you suspect that your dog has parvo, GET THEM TO THE VET ASAP. It will save their lives!

This place sucks! All they care about is money! They will let your puppy die all in the name of the mighty dollar! I just gave them $250 for my puppy with parvo.and I called asking if they could inject more fluid under his skin becuz Im not getting enough down him. But they want another appt. $65 + $33 to do it! So another $100 my puppy is fighting for his life but they could care less! Well as long as you have money they care! They are the only vet in town! Dont go here if you want a place that puts your pets life before their pocket!!

I called them because I need to prepare meals for my 13 year old dog they gave me a name of a website that shows you how to fix them a balanced diet. I learned that the dog food that I was feeding my other 5 dogs had cancer causing ingredients and a ingredient that is used in antifreeze. So now I'm cooking for all of them till I have the money to buy the proper dog food for the others.

I wish there was a way to give more stars! High Plains Animal Hospital is the best business in Texas when it comes to care and compassion for their customers! The staff and management here operate with heart and character. I cannot imagine anyone within a days drive using any other vet or boarding service!

I have had a female dog and cat spayed here. The staff is kind and passionate. Both surgeries had very clean and neat stitching. The price was not over inflated like many small town clinics. I'd recommend to anyone.
