Tucked away down a beautiful hill country road, this winery is a must(especially if you like reds), if you're in the area. We tried several and left with severalšŸ˜‚ They're all so good it was hard to decide! Marco was the best, extremely knowledgeable of every wine on the list(which was quite extensive) and thensome! They're lucky to have him:)

We love this vineyard and the wines are exquisite! We have been there each year since they opened and they always surprise our palates with their wine. We went today, on my birthday, and did a tasting with Marco. He was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the wives we were tasting. He made us feel very welcome and gave us a lot of information about each wine we were tasting. We are very grateful to Marcos for his awesome service and hospitality. We have decided to become wine club members here. Cheers!

I went there with my family two weeks ago to enjoy some good wine tasting. Nice customer service, good prices, clean restrooms, beautiful view. My family and I were delighted to share this experience while in a road trip to San Antonio. Completely recommended!

First Visit to Tryphon Vineyard Tasting Room. Beautiful venue, wonderful customer service, and splendid boutique wines. Favorite ones were Petite Sarah and Tempranillo. Best of all was how welcome we were upon arrival by the Assistant Winemaker, Tres. Thank you Tres for a wonderful wine tasting experience. You are a true people person. See you again real soon. Wines were spot on!

We found this hidden gem on our way back to San Antonio from Fredericksburg. It is a cute tasting room with great views. They have a good number of offered wines. Rafael was the nicest and offered outstanding customer service. We will definitely be back!

This is what Texas wine is all about! If you want true Texas wine this is the place to come. They only use grapes grown in Texas! Sil, the owner was amazing and very informative. The place is quaint with wonderful views. As soon as you get there you will be greeted by the family dogs, Charlie and Half Pint! On top of that, the wine was exquisite! A must for wine lovers!

First stop of our wine tour with friends. Wine tasting was good. Especially enjoyed the atmosphere and scenery. St. Tryphon is believed to have saved crops from a plague of locusts, and is invoked to protect gardens from insects and pests.

We stumbled upon this place on our drive and am so glad we did. The setting is very beautiful and the location is amazing. We did a daily flight tasting and the wines were great. This is a must stop when in the area

What a happy accident-we just happened on this newly opened winery and we couldn’t be more pleased we followed the sign! Sil is a fountain of knowledge and his wines are superb. We couldnt stop smelling them!! Non-traditional, but not a crazy science experiment either. So complex and delicious- if you leave without a bottle you are crazy!Indoor and covered patio seating is available with a view of his vineyard. Take a stroll and you may meet their super-sweet pup Charlie, or one of the horses, Snowflake the pony, the goat or chickens. Can’t say enough great things about Saint Tryphon. You won’t see any buses here either, it is off the beaten path and looks like that is the feel Sil wants to keep. This boutique winery should be high on your list of hill country wine stops!Update: Dec 2018. Still great, new wines, growing and doing great. If you haven’t been, go...you will not regret it! Bonus: cat in a Christmas sweater. Super cutenesses going on.

Cozy, friendly setting for some unique tasting selections. The winemaker himself explained the wines and their processes. Nice enough setting, but don't expect sweeping vistas and a massive villa. Just excellent wines served with genuine hill country hospitality!

This is a newly opened winery about 30 minutes north of San Antonio. This one is definitely off the beaten path but easy to find using a navigation app. Wifey and I went on a Saturday afternoon. If you're a wine noob looking for "sweet wine" (yuck!), please look elsewhere.Grounds and facility: 4.5 stars. Nice, neat, and clean. Ample gravel parking lot is a leisurely stroll to the tasting room. The tasting room is a very nice blend of rustic with a few modern touches. Artwork is gorgeous. Nice furniture. Gorgeous bar!Staff: 5 stars. We met the owner. Super friendly and approachable. Down to earth and easy to speak with. He is confident and proud to serve his products.Wine: 2.5 stars. This is 100% Texas fruit, with a nod to both Texas High Plains (e.g., Newsome) and Texas Hill Country. Some of the fruit will come from their onsite vines this coming fall. Our tasting ($15 per person) featured four pours.Wine #1. 2016 Blanc du Bois. 500 mL bottle. $50. This was, by far, the best wine poured. Nice floral notes up front. Palate featured honeysuckle, apples, pears, and several other layers. Nice acidity. Well balanced. 3.25 stars.Wine #2: 2016 Tempranillo. 750 mL bottle. $38. The owner called it "Rustico". That's what I'd call it as well. I got primarily blueberries with big tannins. Wifey picked up raisin notes. We both found it underdeveloped and unrefined, lacking in flavor and finesse, reminiscent of a barrel sample. 2 stars.Wine #3: 2016 MourvĆØdre. 750 mL bottle. $56. Fermented in the same neutral American oak barrels as its Tempranillo brethren. I got primarily ripe cherries with big tannins. Wifey picked up on some grassy notes. We both found it underdeveloped and unrefined, lacking in flavor and finesse, reminiscent of a barrel sample. 2 stars.Wine #4: Impetuous Malvasia Bian "Pet-Nat". 750 mL bottle. $30. This is a bottle-fermented white wine. Light and lively, with yeasty notes. Almost beer-like in texture and flavor. 2.5 stars. We strongly support our local Texas wineries, especially those that use 100% Texas fruit. While not quite to our liking, you may have a completely different palate and a far different experience. Wifey and I recommend you take a trip and decide for yourselves. We'll certainly return for next year's offerings!Cheers.

Saint Tryphon was a surprise find. We were on our way home from Comfort, TX and Singing Water Vineyards when we saw thensign cor Saint Tryphon off of Sister Dale highway. We stopped in and were pleasantly surprised by the 2018 Triptych and the then 2018 Tempranillo. The wine manager was very knowledgeable and very sociable.

Really great 100% Texas wines. I really appreciate the fact that they are doing all Texas. When I go to a winery in the middle of Texas hill country I do not want California grapes or blends that taste like something in a grocery store. Every wine I got in my tasting was original, delicious, and memorable. Left with a few bottles of our favorites. This is a must stop and see if you are in the area. Beautiful location and incredibly friendly staff.

Off the beaten path winery that has a great selection of grapes for their wine. Still an early stage winery that hasn’t gotten too big and is a beautiful drive and place to relax. The surrounding landscape is quite pretty.

Fantastic winery. Husband and I have visited dozens upon dozens of wineries up and down the East Coast and throughout Texas and this is easily the best. In town for a family vacation and we decided to check this place out with the littles. Ended up joining the wine club and walking out with 6 bottles. We will be back.

My husband and I came here today for our Wedding Anniversary. The first thing we noticed was the beautiful landscape. The atmosphere is so homely and relaxing. The staff were very nice and friendly! They greeted us as soon as we walked in. They had so much insight about the wine. We loved it. God Bless you all!
