Anette and her husband went far out of their way to make us feel comfortable about leaving our dog. They are kind people which creates a very welcoming environment. I wish we had them in our hometown; they'd be our go-to boarding/day care place without a doubt.

OK, I heard this was a GREAT place to take my dogs ... and as a new boarding fur-parent, I love the fact that they offer 50% off the first boarding experience. BUT... the person who answered the phone said they had NO vacancies for the weekend.OK, no problem... BUT .. when I said I wanted to pay to try them out for the day, then come back when they had room for the discounted overnight!This is where it gets sticky, meaning if I do the daycare, then I can't get a "raincheck"for the overnight special...Sadly, the Mgr was not there to clarify this atrocity and right a wrong , so the company LOST up to 4 days of business.!!

They did a marvelous job with Lalo and they made sure he was safe as well! My baby is always happy there and they sent me photos of him playing in the grass every morning.

The facility is super clean and the place looks amazing. The staff is very friendly and my puppy is super exhausted after his first kennel stay ever. We paid for the gold package which includes everything. The only thing I would have liked is when I picked my baby up on Sunday is that they would have let me know how he did all week, whether he met a doggy friend to play with all week and in general how his stay was. Instead, the lady seemed bothered that she was working on a Sunday and told us nothing which was quite unpleasant for the $800 we had just spend for our spoiled pup to stay for the week. I would have loved to known how he did. I guess we will never know but assumingly, he got the full treatment we paid for and was super happy and spoiled and loved on!

I have boarded my dogs here and taken the obedience classes. Happy all the way around! My stubborn bloodhound pup has been behaving so much better on the leash, I'm so impressed! Next up will be one of my other pups taking the dock diving class. Give this place a shot, you'll be glad you did!

We needed a place for our GSP to stay for a few days during a vacation. This was her first time being boarded, so I was a nervous dog parent. We decided to take a tour first, and it helped settle my nerves. They are so kind and you can tell they love dogs! We went with the Gold package and chose the pet suites. I definitely felt it was well worth the money. Plus, we loved getting a picture of her during her stay. We will definitely bring her back when she needs future boarding!

They are wonderful to my precious Duke. He was happy to see me, and I was happy to see him excited to see the staff. I believe they take excellent care of my pup and they love him too. A great combination to find in a boarding place!

Went to check them out. It seems to be a great place with a lot of variety for your pets to do. The only thing I wish is that they would allow dogs to play together, at least for a little time if owners allow and they get along. But besides that they seem to be well capable of taking care of your fur babies! I'll let you know for sure after my son takes their 2 babies there in Nov.

I’ve been using this pet resort for many years and with two different dogs. The experience has been very consistent. The staff is very friendly and actually knows my dog (s). They take care of my pet and are reasonably priced and make the hours of pick up convenient. My dogs stays and bathing services are always great. I would highly recommend Hill Country Pet Ranch to anyone and so would Teddy being clean!

Our first visit with Hill Country Pet Ranch was very nice, so when we needed to have another stay, I decided to use their online registration form, since they had our previous stay information. I made a reservation in August for our October stay, and the day before we left,as we were dropping off, I was surprised to learn that the reservation that I had planned on (private room) had never been made, and they were full with no availability. I had received an email confirmation, which I provided a copy. When I told the employees that I had made an online reservation, their only response was "most people don't use this, they call." I explained that our pet had stayed before, and had been expecting the same service that was on file. Again, the employees stated that I should've called to confirm. I expressed that I HAD received an email for confirmation, however there was no way to indicate on the online form specific room types. They agreed, and said I was correct, there is no way to choose a specific room, and again, that's why people 1) make reservations by phone, and 2) confirm their reservations by calling.I called the manager after leaving our pet in their care, hoping to possibly see if they could offer some individualized care. I was sooo wrong. When I explained the situation, the manager (Lisa) said it was my fault for not calling, and that the employees call and confirm all appointments. I told Lisa I never received a call, and her response was to the effect that she doubted this, and that this didn't sound like her staff. I asked if they could discount our stay, and her response was "so you want me to discount your stay because YOU didn't confirm with us?" Again, I said her staff didn't confirm, and my previous records indicated I wanted a private suite for all my stays. Her only response was "no," however if I wanted additional services, I could pay for these.We had a family member pick her up early, and found out they kept some of her belongings as well.We will never go back, which is sad because we travel and had recommended them to our travel companions.

My dogs hated boarding facilities. At Hill Country Pet Ranch they get excited when we pull into the parking lot and go willingly with the staff. They are always clean, healthy and happy when they come home. The staff there is very caring and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend!

Hill Country Pet Ranch took excellent care of our dog Arya over a 3 night stay this past weekend. She was clean, happy, and tired when we picked her up. Communication from the staff was very professional and friendly, and the facilities seemed very nice. I would highly recommend them, and will be back again in the future!

They were helpful from the first time I called them. We took our puppy for their free boarding trial and she loved it. The staff is friendly and attentive and answered all my questions. When we picked up our pup she didn't seem like she was anxious as if she had a bad time. We are taking her back next week while we are gone and feel perfectly safe leaving her there.

We recently moved to the area with two adult dogs and a puppy. We needed a few days away after the move, but we couldn't take the dogs. Hill Country Pet Ranch was our choice and we couldn't be happier. We have never been more satisfied with a boarding facility or in home boarding. Plus our dogs were in perfect condition and happy as well.

I've been boarding my dog here since I moved to San Antonio 3 years ago and continue to be impressed by their professionalism and care for each dog. My pet has specific requirements due to her medical history and they are alway curteous. They are also transparent about their care. I recommend Hill Country Pet Ranch to all my fellow dog lovers. I recommend taking a tour of their facilities before you board to get to know the staff. They also have a trial night and recommend people use this to try of the facility for one night!

Beautiful facility with very sweet staff. I did a 3 night trial for my dog (who has never spent a night without me or family) and she did great. When I went to pick her up she looked so vibrant and happy. I'm very happy with the care they provided for my pup and will definitely be using their services again.

I called and made arrangements ahead of time for my dogs to be watched at hotel so I could attend my daughters rehearsal and wedding. Her "Carol" phone got bad reception and could cut out so I was told to email her all the details. Which I did immediately. The day before I called to confirm and she said she never checks her email and that she had made personal plans. No recourse or apology at all. She also said she couldn't find my # anywhere to call me. It was just one excuse / lie after another. She is not someone you can count on.

My 7month old puppy stayed in the luxury suites and had a blast!! We added the puppy package for play times, tummy rubs and a few photos during her stay. When I call they give me updates and everyone is super friendly. She is always taken care of and give. Lots of attention!! Happy puppy, happy Pup-mom!

I, as well as my dog Trooper, LOVE Hill Country Pet Ranch. The employees are very pleasant and I could tell that my dog was well taken care of. My dog is my baby, I am so protective of him, it is very hard for me to pass the leash to someone else and just leave him but what helps put my mind at ease is how friendly the staff is and how happy Trooper is to see the employees when we walk in and even when I go to pick him up. I have boarded him there twice now and I could confidently say that, whenever I need to, I will board him there again and again. Thank you, Hill Country Pet Ranch, for being a reliable place to board and groom my dog when needed!

I had a difficult time finding a place to kennel my Great Dane puppy while on vacation. Other places didn't have tall enough fences plus she has separation anxiety. Hill Country Pet Ranch was perfect for her. She had her own room with a doggie door for her to go in and outside (within a fence) whenever she wanted. They also gave her plenty of attention and play time. I will definitely be back.

My 2 dogs just came home from their 2nd vacation here. They are always happy and well taken care of. I never worry about them when they are there, so we ALL have fun and relaxing vacations. Highly recommend. 😊 You may be able to find someplace cheaper but what are your fur babies worth to you? Priceless.
