Thank You such much for taking care of our beautiful mini poodle puppies! Teddy, Coco & Chunky genuinely enjoyed their visit and the entire team was fantastic! The Veterinarian was superb and spent considerable time explaining the vaccinations and treatment they received today. This is the second time we have brought our Poodles there and wouldn’t consider trusting them to anyone else. Thanks Again!!!

They do great work to help spay and neuter feral cats. Staff is very kind and their system is very efficient. Good work done by good people. I love that you can reserve your spot and don't have to wait in line like with the other clinics that take care of feral cats.

I took my male cat baby for a neuter this past Thursday. Everything had gone well, although when I picked him up they said they did not give him a cone because he was being “aggressive” He’s actually very friendly and cuddly with strangers so I found this super odd.I bought a cone for him and followed all the instructions I was given. Then, he ended up with a high fever and shakes on Friday. His incision site was red, swollen, and had yellow discharge. I called the after care number about 20 times, left 3 voicemails and got no reply. I then saw that they’re closed on the weekend. Why give an aftercare number if you can’t answer? I had to take my cat to urgent care where they confirmed he has an infection. He’s been on antibiotics and pain medication since and now has diarrhea.Today, Monday, they still haven’t replied to my voicemails. I called three times again this morning and no answer. Please don’t take your fur babies here. It’s not worth the low cost. I can’t believe I also donated to this place when I checked out 💔 I’m so disappointed and so worried for my baby.

You’re always nervous bringing your animals to a new place. That was instantly washed away as soon as I was kindly greeted by one of the many great staff they have waiting for you in the parking lot! Being my first time I wasn’t sure how drop off worked but they quickly were able to answer all my questions! All of them were smiling and swiftly passing out paper work and carrying animals inside for their appointments. Pick up was just as smooth! Got there right at 2pm and had my 3 cats in the car by 2:10! The vets did an incredible job as well! All 4 of the cats (took momma cat next day, same thing again nothing but friendly faces and great service) had really clean incision areas and didn’t seem to be in any pain whatsoever. I highly recommend taking your animals here. They will only take care of your precious pets like they are their own! I couldn’t be happier with my experience and will 100% be coming back with my future pets! Photo of the 2 boy kittens a few days after surgery when they could be together again!

Zero StarsTook our 10 month old kitty to get spayed. Spay was quick and low cost. BUT...No pain meds or cone were provided. And the day after, her incision site seemed infected and had green discharge. Took her to another vet and it turned out HER INCISION SITE WAS COMPLETELY OPENED. And was infected. HCAL had just done a top stitch and glued the rest of her incision site. Our Kitty had to get further treatments and antibiotics to heal her infection and OPENED ncision site. She is doing much better but she is still in alot of pain and we are still trying to treat the infection. This was the beginning of last week.

Staff called me after I was back home 25 minutes away to come put my kitty in a cage from her pet carrier. Said my kitty was hitting and hissing at them . Then she started vomiting the same evening after surgery. Called and called no one picked up. This continued til I took her to a real vet.$300 later , my kitty is better. If you love your pet find a real vet. My kitty is now scared to death of brooms. She never was scared before I took her there.Also had to go inside and move kitty from cage and put her in the pet carrier when it was time to pick her up.

Took my 16 month old Weimaraner Luna to get spayed and they were extremely caring and super professional! Highly recommend this location! :) Also, her scar healed up really quickly this pic is of her couple days later!Thanks HCAL!!

I didn't get to see inside the building as it seems to operate like a curbside business. However, they do their job well by the animals and are necessary to combat pet overpopulation!

Thank you for providing low cost care for my "grand dog" Oakley!! He was neutered and micro chipped for 1/2 the price of what the vet wanted to charge. We were also able to get heart worm meds along with flea prevention medication. We had a very good experience.

So this place is absolutely amazing. They have been so sweet and informative for a first time pup. My Fluffers loves everyone here and every vaccine/check up has been a great experience. Right now per COVID they come to your vehicle to pick up and give paperwork Curbside. They are very affordable and have a instagram page where their main source of funding is their thrift store. Be sure to check them out!

People that take your pet are so sweet and helpful. Have had many pets fixed over the years. Have to say it was the best stitch job I have ever seen. Couldn't even see the stitches no puckering and the dog didn't even want to lick it's surgery site. Healed back in record time.

I took my 2 porch cats in during the Cat Porch Spay/Neuter Program. I must say these ladies did an excellent job! They were running around the parking lot trying to help all the clients fill out paperwork, explain procedures, just being wonderful and assuring clients questions. Hill Country Animal League offers extremely cheap spay/neuter costs. They also offer cheap vaccinations for our animal friends as well. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly here.

It's really difficult to obtain really low cost spay/neuter services for people like me on a VERY limited income . I used to bring in cats and have them done for $20 each, now it's a lot more so I can only bring in one or two every year or so. I'm here in Bandera and there isn't low cost ANYTHING here .

this place impressed me! it was a bit of a drive from new braunfels but well worth it! the best way to describe the pick up and drop off process is almost like curbside for your pets. they treated our cat with love and the billing process was easy to complete! well worth the drive and lower prices than anywhere else i’ve seen.
