*World Traveler ReviewBest Tasting Room In Texas! We have lived in Napa Valley and thought we knew a lot about wine… until we came in for a tasting and met Kevin! Such fun while we learned and were entertained by his stories - he made us feel right at home. Definitely recommend!For around $30 you can choose a wine or spirits tasting. Generous samples of their distilled wines and spirits are poured during the tasting.The venue is huge… dating back to 1904 and still has a lot of the original woodwork! They also filmed a movie here starring Matthew McConaughey and Ethan Hawke called ‘The Newton Boys’ ~ pretty good movie! You can see and walk through areas of the set seen in the movie!Great time to be had by all. Great house-made food, snacks, appetizers, entrees, and desserts.

My husband and I wandered in and ended up doing the Spirits tasting. Not only was it good, educating, and a great way to unwind, but Mr. Flanigan had us laughing the WHOLE time! Great place, lots of fun!P.S. we tried coming back before we had to leave for our travels, but it ended up being closed. Till we meet again :)

Thank you for an amazing time yesterday. My friends and family called this the most memorable event they have been to in a very long time. I know you have some repeat customers in your mist. I would like to thank you, kevin and everyone who helped to put together this amazing great gatsby event. We will sure be back again soon to enjoy and relax. I will say those chocolate martinis and the old fashions were a favorite. Everyone loved the triva and learned so much new things. Learning about the building was top on their lists. The food was so yum!!!!!! Also those pickles, I will be coming back for some. I wanted to take the time and say i truly appreciate everything and you all made my birthday so special.

My husband and I were there this past weekend and it was awesome! Everyone was so friendly and enjoyed hearing about the history of the building. Great pickles too!!!! Definitely will visit again!!

Road trip took us to Bertram where we happened upon a cool place called Flannigan's Distillery & Winery. Tasted a rich full bodied red called "Slainte" Wow! Loved it, so we also ordered lunch. As we sat enjoying ourselves we were told that Matthew McConaughey's film, the Newton Boys was filmed here in 1998. Highly recommend this surprising find because you'll enjoy the barkeep, the ambiance, the wine & food. Slainte!

Stopped in on the way home from the lake and glad I did. You have a choice of a wine flight, spirits flight, or cocktails and food. The staff is very friendly and happy to chat about what they make. The building is amazing and was used in the film “The Newton Boys” if you’re wondering why it looks familiar.

A group of us went to Flanigan’s for their high tea and it was amazing! It is $45 a person and you get a cocktail, finger sandwiches, homemade scones and little desserts along with tea.The food was delicious and the venue is awesome. My friends surprised me with a Grammy baby shower and it made me realize it is a great place for a wedding reception, birthday parties or a baby shower.Their cocktails are unique delicious and they offer really unique non alcoholic drinks as well.They offer a cool bourbon tasting for $25 a person if you are looking for something to do for yourself or when guests are visiting!I highly recommend this distillery!

Excellent first time visit. Loved the flights learned a lot about different whiskeys and the fermentation process. Staff was excellent and the food was really good. The corned beef and cabbage was fantastic.

If anyone has not gone to experience Flanagan's distillery You need to go!!! The food is amazing. The drinks are excellent. Everything is made in house all fresh ingredients. There selection of cocktails and spirits will satisfy anyone. The staff is amazing and makes the time there unforgettable. Nice relaxing spot with a little history thrown in.

This was a spur of the moment stop while driving through town looking for a place to turn around. I am so glad our route got re-routed! This place was excellent from the knowledgable bar staff to the ambiance of the old building. Perfect place for a pit stop and some whiskey education!

My friend and I stopped here on our way back from Longhorn Caverns to Austin, it was pretty quiet for a Sunday, and we decided to do a Wine and Spirit flight to share between the two of us. The man there, Kevin, proceeded to give us the most amazingly funny, informative, and engaging presentation on the proper way to appreciate the aroma of the wine, the different zones of color, bottle and cork types, Etc. The atmosphere is relaxing and eclectic, the Folks at the bar are charming, and there's plenty of parking.What we thought would be a quick stop on our way back, turned into over an hour of laughing and enjoying delicious wines and spirits while learning more than either of us ever had before. I will definitely be taking everyone who comes to visit me there in the future!!

Amazing experience! Fantastic, interesting wine, some of the best we have ever had. Fascinating historic location. The owners are very enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge and welcoming. Do not expect fast service though. We enjoyed it very very much.

Stopped by here on the way back from a day at Inks Lake Park and had no idea what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. This place is really nice and has a fun old-timey feel on the inside. The owners are super friendly and it was very laid back.The food and drinks were not cheap but totally deserved. We got 2 cocktails and they were delicious and also a cheese board that hit the spot.Looking forward to coming back here for their dinners and more drinks. Do yourself a favor and stop by here.

The service and the Whiskeys were very good. The cost of the tastings were much more than expected or worth. If they are trying to get people to come in to try thier wares, they should not be charging a super premium price.

Pros: Beautiful historic building; nice welcoming people who work there and everyone seems very knowledgeable about their spirits and wine.Cons: no one who works there wears a mask. Guess go at your own risk. They did not appear to take it seriously or provide any reassurance that they are making their customers visit sanitary and as safe as possible.

What a great experience. I brought my dad here for a little birthday fun. We got the FULL lesson in tasting both the wine and the spirits and it was awesome!! We also tried the food and it didn’t disappoint.

The best wine tasting I have ever done. Kevin is very entertaining, interesting and informative! I have visited many wineries and didn't know how much I didn't know or that it would be so enjoyable to learn.The wines are good and I learned why. We stopped for a quick tasting and left with bottles and a new favorite place. We will certainly be back.The building is very interesting. It was a movie set and has doors that go nowhere are some fake elevators making the place look like an old timey hotel.

I had the opportunity to visit recently on a Sunday afternoon and it was such a great experience! I would highly recommend it! The Sunday supper meal was delicious and the wine and whiskey tasting were both outstanding! It was such a fun way to spend the afternoon.

Came with wife for a tasting - the server had to consult the owner three times for the rules of tastings and tell us only one at a time may partake every 30 minutes - AS WE WATCH OTHERS HAVE A TASTING and others are told completely different. We order two overpriced shots and watch as someone tries to deliver them to every other table but ours. We're obviously done with the situation and I go to the bar to pay, to be ignored by multiple employees. I hunt down one to be honest and not walk and receive the tip "presentation" - riiiiight... I explain why and the bartender only thanks me "for my honesty". We watched locals be fawned over, I guess you just have to live here.Took longer to write the review than to enjoy the drinks. Don't waste your time.

Amazing Place, great experience to stop by and have hand made food and beverages. Great Easter egg story in the place and administration it's very welcoming.
