Great place for food, music and fun in Ben Wheeler. The menu is just the right size for lunch or dinner. The queso and chips are a great way to start. The wings are really good as well. The chicken fried chicken is very tasty. The mashed potatoes and gravy or homemade and delicious. Love the bar area. Rae is friendly and helpful. Melissa and family work their tails off to make sure everyone has a great experience. It's also a terrific venue for live music.

I am a resident of Ben wheeler so a big supporter of local businesses and was excited that this place had new owners so decided to finally give it a try. My husband and I took another couple there this evening about 6:30. We were seated right away but sat about 20 minutes before we were acknowledged. When we were acknowledged by a gentleman, he took our drink orders and appetizer order. We got drinks and appetizer in about 15 minutes and then waitress took our order. Now keep in mind the menu is very small. You have a choice of hamburger or chicken fried steak or 3 sandwiches and 6 appetizers, that's it! An hour and half later our dinner was still not served as we sat and noticed other people getting served that arrived after us. The restaurant was not crowded but obviously was short of help and a large table had arrived just before we did. Here is my complaint...not the wait...not the service..not the food..my complaint is the communication. Apparently they were down a cook and I feel like you need to let us know that there is a hour and half wait for food and give me the opportunity to stay or leave. We decided to leave at 2 hour wait for hamburger and walked across the street to the forge, was seated..served and had an amazing dinner and the place was completely packed. So, with all that being said I will never consider going to the Moore store again and won't support or recommend it to anyone I know..good luck..I hope y'all make it🤞

Cons: It was freezing cold in the restaurant, it took 45 minutes to get 3 BLT sandwiches, they brought my child's food 30 minutes before the adults food, the glass of wine I ordered was refrigerated, the music was rough.Pros: the service was okay and the atmosphere was nice.The negative definately outweigh the positives in my opinion.

Stopped in during the Ben Wheeler Christmas Parade. Interior is very nice. Did not eat but had a drink while watching the little parade. Great beer prices and very nice staff. Keep up the good job everyone! I don't typically give 5 star ratings but y'all deserve it.

Really great food and service! The cutest place I have ever ate! The tomatoes were garden fresh and amazing! The rolls that came with my daughters chicken strip were so yummy and so was the rest of her food as well. We had some onion rings for an appetizer and they were the best! I'd you go here I recommend the onions rings they are to die for!

Our first time here..won't be our last..service was great food was great.i had the dancing pig. And it was awesome. Wife and parents had catfish, they also said it was cooked perfect and tasted great..had the hand battered onion rings for appetizers..they were huge and delicious..we ordered 12,lol we ended up bring some home..a must stop if your in Ben wheeler..

We go here about 5 times a month, love the hometown feel, atmosphere is perfect, food is amazing and the owners are the best!Kid-friendliness: There are always families enjoying this place and so wonderful to see.

Very nice place. The chicken fried chicken is the bomb. Side portions are plenty. Good beers priced right. Burgers are awesome. It takes a bit to get your food but at least ya know its cooked fresh.

Nice atmosphere.Overpriced for what it is.Food was relatively bland. Onion rings and chicken fried steak both overcooked.Service was mediocre. Restaurant was almost empty but the server forgot to put our order in to the kitchen because she was "so busy". She was relatively attentive but brusque and not particularly friendly. After waiting about an hour for our food there was no attempt at customer service (no offer to comp an appetizer, throw in a dessert, etc). In fact we still got charged 50 cents because my son asked for bbq sauce to go with his chicken tenders. Not a big deal to pay the 50 cents, but who charges for sauce with chicken tenders?Anyway, service aside it is still overpriced and food wasn't great. Not terrible, but the Dinner Bell in Van is tons better.

Ok 10 of us went to eat and the service was great. The food was not.12. Salad no wow factor for 12.2 out of 3 catfish were good. The 3rd way over cookedChicken fried steak was so over cooked it was unedible. Should have been sent back.This was at lunch time but not busy. No excuseFor it not to be perfect.

Food is a little on the high side of cost. And service was very slow, especially since there was only 1/3 full.I had nachos with ground beef . What I got was what had been stuck in the corners of the grill. The ground beef had been cooked to a crisp. Black tasted like a campfire and my wife paid 8$ for a drink that wasn't made correctly . People just don't care about their trade and reputation anymore . Try at your own risk. Maybe Friday evening is a bad time for themThe guy singing was good. .As of 04/03/22Decided to try again...Chicken stips were grossFish was over cooked (way over)My drink was flatFries were the only thing that were not too bad.....I give up....won't try again.Drive the extra miles go to Tyler or canton.

I ate here on 6/29 for lunch. I ordered chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes and salad with honey mustard. The chicken was grilled, mashed potatoes were hard, honey mustard was just like mustard and the gravy was cold. I took a bite of each to make sure and sent it all back and left. Will not eat there again. The atmosphere is great though.

I don't usually comment on our experiences. But this was just ridiculous. No one greeting you coming in the door. Find your own table. Waited too long for service. Paid $14 (×2) for a chicken fried steak plate that was tough, burnt and unedible. Then went up to the bar to pay and was ignored. Told the waitress the steak was terrible, just gave us a dumbfounded look. We will not be back. I took a picture of the burnt steak which they tried to cover in a lake of gravy.

Second time giving it a try. 1st time the burger was burnt & when we mentioned it we were told that they are cooked over an open flame. No apologies and acted like how dare we say anything.2nd and last time, we ordered chicken strips and a burger. Again the burger was over cooked, burnt and very dry. The chicken strips were over cooked and dry as well. Food came out to us barely warm. Service was not friendly. Didn't bother to say anything since it's apparent they do not care. Will not be coming back.

Went for lunch for the first time in quite a while and the food just wasn't good at all. Not to mention for our table of 5, it took over an hour after ordering to get our food. No one at our table was very happy with the taste of the food. The French fries were particularly bad, so I would recommend getting something different as the side. The staff were all very courteous and friendly and prompt with the check after the meal. Prices were reasonable, had the food been decent anyways.

Food was amazing. Had the club stack. They did put tomatoes with I asked for them to be cut but its no big deal. Our waitress was friendly and good but slow because she was extremely overwhelmed. Too many guests and only 2 servers. Poor girl was hopping all over the place. Food is 10 stars though!

I have never had a decent meal here. We have tried. We go with friends for the music and dance floor. Tonight I got chicken enchilada soup. Decent flavor but not one single bit of chicken. Waitress apologized but still charged me for a bowl when I didn't even have a bowl full. my husband got a baked potato with pulled pork and was charged for bbq sauce. We won't eat here again. There have been too many times it failed.

Best crispy fried fish I have had in a long time. Crispy battered french fries and flavorful Cole slaw. A first class meal. Hollie was our server and she did a great job.
