Excellent staff. Especially a gentleman named Chris very helpful and knowledgeable. He assisted me to find the correct hardware that I needed to complete a job task. Saved me a ton of time, and as we all know time isn't replaceable.

The manager and the sales girl were awesome, great help. The kids working the lumber however.... those boys really lack the motivation required to make good hands. Perhaps with time and much patience the sales team might teach them the way. Good work ethic in the youth seems to be in short supply. And it all starts from the home.

The store itself usually always has what we need, customer service is good, BUT they are a hardware store & their parking lot is ridiculous, pot holes everywhere, their restrooms are completely horrendous! Men's & womens! Broken toilet seats, broken sinks, broken toilet paper dispensers & not to mention disgusting! They have all the materials to fix all of these issues so why don't they!?

Customer service has got better for sure, I have no complaint in that department. Considering its a hardware and lumber store, the store and parking lot itself is absolutely ridiculous. Potholes everywhere outside, and then when you walk in its extremely hot. There's no ac and and quite a few isles either have buckets filled with water leaking from the ceiling or just puddles of water on the ground, sliding doors that don't open. This is the store you go to to get items needed for projects or repairs in or around your home. Why is it in such bad shape?

Maybe 3 people who work there, actually know about the location if things and about what they carry and do not. And only 1 of those 3, is nice and helpful. And older gentlemen. The younger workers have massive attitude problems and act like they are going out of their way to do their job. The quality of wood is terrible. We go here as a last resort when McCoys or Alamo do not have what we are looking for. McCoys is expensive, but I'd rather pay more to get good materials than pay less to get mediocre wood and supplies. I, along with several other people, have complained many times about the rude workers, and the condition of the wood. Nothing is ever done.

I would NOT recommend buying any lawn equipment at sutherlands. Bought a brand new echo weed eater and it wouldn’t start. Took back and they won’t exchange it and they said to take it to another local store to get it fixed. I should’ve just went to the other store in the first place. Bad business!!! If you want to waste your time shop here!

Yeah customer help is not their strong point but they have some items i cant find elsewhere and i like having variety . ALSO where else can you get carpet grass in beeville, that alone is worth thePrice of admission!!! The closest we found grass was 80 miles away and i love the early bird sales.

We had a failed water heater relief valve and I grabbed the wrong one(of course), I called 10 minutes before closing and a young man ** I wish I would have gotten his name but I will update when I do** waited for 10 minutes past closing for my wife arrive although another employee was a little harsh, the young man helped her. I WILL NOT FORGET THAT KIND OF HELP!!!Thanks alot!!!

The service here is the worst! The lady tells me she will help me and never even comes over to where I’m at. After I finally made my purchase I waited forever for my item because she didn’t notify anyone I made my purchase.

Walmart's app said they had perlite—their Garden attendent had no idea what that even was. I called Sutherland's; they knew exactly what I was talking about, and gave me a price. Upon arrival, I was so pleased to see they had popcorn—I was prepared to pay, but found out it was complimentary! I thought that was awesome—it reminded me of being a kid, and the way stores in America used to be—thank y'all! This was my first visit to a Sutherland's ever; I'll definitely be coming back for my garden supplies!

This place need new carts..your carts dont work get it fixed and you would have more business just saying .My husband had gallbladder removed, and was having trouble with his merchandise not cool.To here him complain about it.ugh
