Family Dollar has a culture of its own in Beaumont. The stores are messy, some more than others. The employees are always rude. The young lady that has been there for a long time is the ONLY exception to the rudeness and she is at the Concord and MLK store now. They all keep one door locked which is a fire hazard, they refuse to give cash back and they don't even acknowledge you. They ring your stuff up without speaking to you in most cases even looking at you and when you're done they just stand there for you to look at the register to see how much you owe and then they leave the receipt hanging for you to take it. Family Dollar has so many customer service issues it's just ridiculous. I was in the one on 11th Street one time and they were having a personal conversation what about five six people in line and the guy says I don't know why they looking at us like that like we not supposed to be able to stand here and talk and he went on to continue to let everybody in line know that just because we standing there looking at him it's not going to make him stop his conversation cuz he's a human being and he has a right to talk just on and on and on as he slowly slowly run up each customer.

All the checkers are extremely friendly and greet you when you come in by name. Very helpful and knowledgeable about what they have available and/or when a new order will be arriving. I find the prices very comparable and competitive. They have great kids clothes marked down to over 90% in most cases. Their clothes are fashionable. Always have coupons on laundry and cleaning products.Usually have what I'm looking for. Wheelchair accessable. Love my local Family Dollar and all their employees!! Good Job Family Dollar on Calder!!😁

I just asked the mans name behind the counter for his name after being so rude and having zero customer skills and he told me pddin and tang and threatened to call the law on me for his rude behavior that I said I wouldn't tolerate! He didn't have a name tag on and barely acted like he could read.

Great location,easy access and an abundance of goods from a variety of choices...but if u want to shop after 8 p.m. it's hit or miss if they have locked the door or not even though they close at 9 most nights.

Sunday August 26 I showed up to the store at 8:45 to make a purchase. When I arrived the door was locked and an employee was at the cash register.I called the store to ask their hours and an extremely rude employee told me they close early if no customers are in the store and if I would have gotten someone’s attention they would have let me in. (There were 2 other cars in the parking lot with customers).So, tonight September 7th my husband arrived at 9:20 (Monday-Saturday the store closes at 10 according to the recording on the store phone).2 employees were outside smoking cigarettes and let my husband know the store was closed. 5 other cars were in the parking lot trying to make purchases.If the employees get to decide whichever hours they would like to close they should not have their hours posted on the door, on their website and on the recording when you call into the store.I drove by at 9:55 this evening and the entire parking lot was empty. (No employee cars).Corporate needs to get ahold of some manager and make a change, quickly.Edit:September 8th I show up 10 minutes after they should be open (9:10) and there are no employees.

The store guitar stores the young lady and the young man that works there in the morning time or afternoon time it is that they they are there I think that they do a good job they will direct you where you need to go and show you exactly where to go and help pick up the stuff for you I have to say that they have been trained well and that is great David 5 stars of being generous kind and humble more handicap exist base to go up to the store thank you very much

The store manager wasn't even at the store to open at 9 am she didn't show up until 9:10 to open street than had to wait for her to open register and get the change from the bank deposited in the safe.

Super messy, cluddererd, dirty and nothing is in the right/correct place as far as shelving labels, item info and current price labels and sale items...Boxes after boxes line the customers shopping area/walking paths on nearly every single day and or night(super duper poor store and district and regional management...shameless) causing endless tripping harrards etc...On a good note the staff is SOMETIMES friendly...Also, awsome LED bluetooth speaker globe by Polaroid score for only $20 sold at Family Dollar!
