Very disappointed in service we received. Young man at register was not helpful, didn't seem to care & not knowledgeable. Older lady gave some helpful information but didn't help young man with other issues.

I came here and got a parakeet a week ago and although it somehow passed away quickly, I was able to return him and get another. The lady there that deals with the birds is really knowledgeable and helpful. She basically told me that the food I was giving it was incorrect as it had hard corn in it and she said they can't digest it and then she showed me a better choice which I of course bought. As soon as I got home I replaced the food and I haven't had any issues. When the first parakeet had passed away though, I called and asked if I could return it and get a new one at any location and they said yes. Therefore I went to the closest one to where I was which ended up being a new location in kingwood. I drove all the way there. The asst mgr there said he couldn't honor the policy because his store manager said they can't if the pet came from a different store. I called the baytown location again to verify she they said once again that per policy yes they could have even though they were refusing. But the gentlemen at the baytown location said not to worry and he apologized about the inconvenience and said if I come into his store he'd take of it and get me a new parakeet. So big thanks to him and the baytown location for being the absolute best location for their customers and really caring about the pets!

I am a optimistic person who will give a person the benefit of the doubt. However after my second encounter with this person, she has shown me she is rude, ignorant, and nasty!! DO NOT book a grooming appointment with SAM C!! I will save you the headache and frustration. My first encounter was a walk in for a nail trim for my 11lb miniature poodle. She never asked how can I help you she immediately said we do not take walk ins for grooming. You have to book that online. I proceeded to say you don’t take walk ins for a nail trim? Sam said oh yes we do. Had she asked first what I was there for instead of ASSuming she would’ve known.This last incident I didn’t know I was booking my grooming appointment with her because if I knew ahead that she was the same lady from my first encounter I would’ve booked with someone else. I brought my dog in and she said has he ever had a haircut? He is “extremely” matted (which he wasn’t) She brings the paper with the estimated charges and said initial here. I review the charges before initialing and ask what this one charge was for. She said look at your dog he is “extremely” matted. I looked at her and told her I would not proceed with the grooming. She said fine and handed me my dog. As I was walking out I told her I would be reporting her nasty attitude and when I tried to book online at a different store she blocked me from being able to make online grooming appointments!! She needs to be removed as the face of this store and groomer. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because the other employees are always pleasant and helpful when I come in to pick up items for my dog! Lose Sam C and this store may become great again!!!

I have never adopted a pet before, and all I can say is that I'm extremely satisfied with my experience. Staff was really friendly. And I'm the happiest I've ever been after giving a lovely home to my 1st cat. Adoption fees are very reasonable and one can tell they really care for the pets there.

Terrible service! Spoke with the cashier, which was very nice, and I asked if I could get my puppy weighed. The groomer was very rude and said they dont have time for that and walked off. Just not helpful at all!!!

Do not waist your money with Petco dog food. Purchased a bag of dog food at the store on Garth Rd in Bayotwn Texas and the food was full of worms and moths. We did not see them until a couple of weeks later and we called the store they were aware of the issue but told us it was to late to replace!

I was asked to buy a bag for my purchase. I should have left my purchase there. I carried my purchase in my arms.I can see charging if you are only buying 1 or 2 items, but i got several things paying over $50. I will not be back.

Not at lot merchandise to select from, the items were astronomical expensive and to add insult to injury I had to pay 10 cent for a damn bag!! The least PetCo can do is supply the bag. No bag supplied but I was ask if I wanted to donate to a charity…HELL NO! Just ridiculous

Not a bad place to buy care products for your companion. However, they mostly cater to dogs, lizards, birds, fish and rodents like hamsters.The ambience was nice and calming, if not a little packed.

They actually HAVE SHRIMP.. salt and freshwater.. all healthy all females are preggo so a great start for your tank and at 99 each much cheaper then petsmart WHO WILL SELL THEIR ENTIRE INVENTORY TO 1 MAN.. I TRIED FOR 6 MONTHS .. THEY NEVER HAVE SNAILS SHRIMP OR CRABS OR CRAYFISH SO IF YOUR LOOKING FIR THOSE GO TO PETCO. YOU WONT BE DISSATISFIED.

I thought petsmart down the road was bad, but this place is ridiculous in terms of their tropical fish department. If you want tropical fish, just go to Pasadena or Pearland, there are some great fish places.While waiting for about 15 minutes for help, I couldn't help but notice the awful condition of their entire tropics fish department. All the tanks were nasty, and the molly tank in particular didn't have a single living specimen. There were 6 dead mollys floating around in a circle at the top. Problem is the tanks are all connected through plumbing so ammonia levels were probably off the charts in all the tanks from that.I finally got some help in the form of a girl who looked and acted like work was the last place she wanted to be. I told her I wanted all the nerite snails they had. She hastily grabbed 4, bagged them, and handed it to me. There were at least 8 more in the tank on the walls and on some plants but I was so frustrated I didn't even bother asking for them. Got home, acclimated them, put them in my aquarium, and wouldn't you know 2 of them were actually already dead.Won't be going back to this place ever for fish.

Looking for a pet carrier that I saw online they had in store...when I got there I searched for the product but couldn't find it. Asked for assistance was just directed to the same place where I had already searched. so I decided to order it online to pick up In store. Went back to register told them I ordered it online for pick up was told I was to wait for someone to go find it in the back. Waited nearly an hour. He already had it and never told me. I got back in line and asked if they had found it. He said yes. It was the wrong color. I picked a pink they gave me a green one yet at this point I was done with the customer service so I took the product and left. Will not be coming back. next time I will be going to Petsmart.

The last two times I ordered food they did not have it. So I had to drive all the way to PetSmart which is a lot further away from me than Petco is. But I go and picked up my cat food right now and it has a hole in the bag in the bag looks so dirty like it been on the shelf for months. Now my cat is hungry and I have to go back for another bag of cat food tomorrow morning before work . So inconvenience.Curbside pick up!!

Let me start by saying that I've taken my dogs...yes, multiple dogs, 3 of them ranging in size from 22 lbs to 70 lbs...for at least 3 years. I've never had a bad experience here. Until...I don't know if it's a full staff change or what is going on at this stores grooming salon but this past experience was awful. The lady that checked her in looked intoxicated, could barely talk, was all over the place. I had reservations about leaving my dog but thought I was over reacting or maybe she was new and just nervous and would still give the service I've come to expect from the PetCo salon. But no...My girl, she's a 70 lb Great Pyr/GSD mix and has always come back to me looking amazing, feet groomed, well maintained sanitary areas, nails nicely trimmed, ears clean, no fur flying around everywhere. More than one could honestly expect for a crazy girl like mine, just amazing experiences for years every time without fail. It's expensive to have a dog like her groomed, and never once have I complained because I know all that goes into grooming and properly trimming her to maintain a healthy double coat.But this time... It's taken me a couple of weeks to put my thoughts together to even write this because I just can't believe the terrible experience and service received from this store.No sanitary trim. Paws and paw pads weren't touched. It doesn't even look like her nails were trimmed. Her hind "fluff" wasn't trimmed. No stray long fur was trimmed even. She was dropping dead fur like crazy for a week after the de-shed bath, leading me to believe she was barely even brushed out. The only reason I know she had just the minimum bath is that she was still damp when I picked her up, which never happens because double coated dogs have to be dry to blow out the coat and remove the lose hair. This was not worth the cost of the bath AND de-shed treatment (over $100 with all the fees and taxes).I have had such great experiences here that I'm trying not to let this one bad one change everything I feel about this store so I will try one more time based on past experiences, but I am possibly looking at my last appointment at this store for grooming. If this had been my first time there, I'd never go back.

Need help with inventory And knowing what and how much to order of supplies. 3rd time trying to get salt and fresh water for my aquarium. Order online bc it shows in stock only to get there and find out nope. Employee tells me s guy comes in and buys 10 to 20 at a time... then order extra if you know that guy is going to come in! It's not rocket science!

My pet is an outdoors dog. Even though she is small she enjoys playing running around in the backyard. With the cold fries that we had we knew we were going to bring her in the house for a couple of days. Petco grooming was there at the last moment and fit her in for a good bath and some defurrminating. They got my business!
