This DG store is far out of the way for me, and I have to drive nearly 20 miles to get there. Still, it's worth it! While most DG stores are messy and disorganized, this one is always well-stocked and well-organized. Everything is easy to find and where it's supposed to be. Also, the employees here are always friendly, and their customer service is excellent. I will not shop at any other DG store. I highly recommend the Beach City location.

Horrible now that they have a self checkout. Lady was hovering over me, literally had to ask if she was going to scan my items or was I supposed to. Line was at least 10 people long and she still wouldn't open the register.

This review isn’t aimed towards the employees. It’s aimed towards higher ups. How dare you people let these poor employees work in a building with NO AC IN THIS TEXAS HEAT! It’s 100+ degrees outside and they’re stuck in a HOTBOX. And you don’t pay them more?! SHAME ON YOU. I bet if the CEOs AC went out at his mansion, it would be fixed IMMEDIATELY. Dollar General you’re DISGUSTING. These employees work so hard and provide EXCELLENT customer service only to be treated like the dirt beneath your shoes. DO BETTER.

I like the new lady there Hispanic lady she is real nice she really helpful she help me find tea n coffee she always smiling even tho is hot in there she is so nice ..thats how all employees should be ..I think is Cindy o Connie I think is Connie but God bless her

Still closed in September. After making employees work months with no AC. At least they don't have to work in it anymore. But would be nice to have a dollar store nearby again.

Dollar General is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to shop. They have what I am looking for nine times out of ten. They are also popping up everywhere! I hate going into the large grocery stores and the fact that there is one within half a mile from my house (and our vacation home) makes it great for picking up last minute items when making dinner.

It's convenient if your close. There is a hard working staff of mostly middle aged women. However, they don't control what inventory comes to them, all the food is mostly bad for you, and are a few cents more expensive that H.E.B.

I am here for work. I liked this dollar store at first, been there a couple of times since I got here. Never had a problem. That is, until I bought a prepaid gobank card from them. I am new to prepaid cards, so i bought it on its own receipt. It said on the package I could register on the app or website. I chose the app. The app said it was not validated at the register, so I bought it back in for help. The lady at the register was very nice and called another lady to help me, i guess she was the manager, not sure but seemed to be the person in charge. Instead of helping me i was accused of bringing a different card in that had already been used, and she pointed out that the numbers were diffarent on the reciept, and card. I didn't know what to look for and the numbers she pointed out on the reciept and card was wierd to me, but obviously she didnt know what to look for either, (as i later found out). I went to my car sad and upset because now i cant pay my bills back home, and I felt like I got ripped off by the dollar store of $300. I called my sister who is also a cashier, and she told me where to look for The numbers on the card, receipt and packaging and said to go back in and talk to her again. The bar code on the card matched the package and the number on my reciept matched the number on the package as well. When i went back i tried to talk to the same lady she was very rude to me i tried to show her how the numbers matched because now i was eduacted on where to look for them. She said she couldnt help me. I did figure it out, I had to register it on the website before it would go on the app and my money was on there, thank goodness, but not before this employee accused me of being a thief, was very rude with Horrible and inadequate customer service. This problem started because I just didn't know what was going on and since I bought it there I thought they would help me figure out why my card wouldn't activate, but "the person in charge" didnt want to take time to read the matching barcodes pointed out to her when I went back inside. Which would have been a good idea since she obviously doesn't know much about prepaid cards either. I guess her customers aren't worth her time, so sad. All other employees in there were very nice.

Love this location! Always super clean, not like other locations, where u have to step over things to get what you need, or dig through a bunch of stuff to get to anything!Super friendly and helpful staff. Thank you for what you do.

Huge store. But every aisle stays congested with carts with boxes of merchandise, consistently throughout the aisles, MOST OF THE AISLES!! the newer dgstore on hwy 563 is huge and the aisles are typically free of aisle blockage...
