I am rating this little shop a 10 on the scale of 1-5 not because of all the beautiful things in the shop, but because the people who are running the shop are so helpful. We were looking for a place to go kick the rocks and maybe find a few small sparkles, what we got was exact locations of where to go. And what we found were small treasures that will never be forgotten. Thank you to the Balmorhea Blue Rock Shop.

We loved this lil laid-back shop & talking with Ms. Sheila. They have a sweet selection of jewelry & crystals for a great price. I bought this gorgeous chunk of fluorite & this stunning pietersite bracelet 😍HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Great jewelery and rock shop. Old style silver smithing. Sheila is very helpful and friendly. She was working on some old style silver smithing jewelery. She can do custom jewelery if requested. The shop has a variety of hand made jewelery and there excellent pieces in all budget ranges. An assortment of minerals with a nice assortment of cut slabs and rocks. Drop by, I was glad I did.

Nice people, nice pets in the shop. We picked out a geode that they then cut for us, and it's a pretty great one. It's worth a stop by if you're in the area.

This little shop is great, they have cool stuff and Sheila the Manager is very informative and friendly, she was very helpful. If you are ever in the area and you like rocks I would highly recommend going to this shop. We got there before they opened and called the number on the door and she came right out.

Great shop! The owner Sue was so nice, knowledgeable and great customer service. I didn't walk away empty handed, 3 one of kind torquoise pieces are gorgeous! Loved her store cat and two sweet dogs.

This place has a bunch of cool rocks and crystals! I used to come here all the time as a kid to look at all the awesome rocks and I still do today! I got 2 radical necklaces from here and have gotten complements from many people saying how cool they are. Love this place a lot 👌

I was very fortunate to find this place while sight seeing in Balmorhea. Jim & Sue are the sweetest people you will ever meet. They have a huge collection of rocks & custom jewelry. They are true rock hounds. They taught me & my kids so much. If you are like me you will leave with a lot of nice pieces & a new friendship that you will never forget.

Be sure to stop here when you're in town.The owner has been around for a long time. She's wonderful. Sue has been playing with the rocks for years. It's great to visit and learn the history of the area.If you stop in tell them we say hi.

This place is adorable, run by a cute very Texas family these people know their rocks. Don’t waste your time in the various small town hipster rock shops in neighboring towns, this store is the one. Such beautiful rocks and stones, and super affordable!

Call before making the the trip out to nowhere land. Shop was closed on a Thursday afternoon. Was interested in adding to my rock collection. Highly disappointing. Owner should update their hours on Google.
