Many things seem to be on sale and are almost at the very last stage of shelf life. Check expiry date when buying.

Prices are ridiculous, I can say get two bags of groceries for a 100, something dollars. For maybe two meals, go to HEB, and can walk out of there with a month's worth of Gros for 220 dollars, shopping basket 2 bags for 100.some odd dollars. Eggs for a dozen. 5.00,

This place is such a fun small hometown grocery store. Friendly staff - especially the older cashier lady. She was so sweet! I took off a star because it has very little food allergy options.

Only Grocery store in the city and they take advantage of it. High Prices and Watch Out for expiration dates on products! Reported foreign matter in one of their products which caused dental damage, could have been much worse. They promptly refunded my money, good. I went in store the next day to make sure they had pulled the dangerous product off the shelf, they did not, they put it on sale. Glory be the day we get an honest grocery store here!

We were driving through to get back home to Abilene and we just stopped for a restroom break and to grab a cold drink. Every employee was so nice and friendly! The bathrooms were so clean and the store was easy to shop! We loved the small town feel from everyone!

Prices are high simply because of no competition, you can't drive anywhere cheaper to make it worth the time and money for gas..unless your'e buying a months worth of food. They do have selection and the store is very well maintained, and they take your groceries to the car. Also very friendly.

I like the shopping basket in Ballinger Texas they have a variety of different Meats meat and it's a larger store and the atmosphere is very nice and friendly

Always a clean and orderly store and good help. Disappointed in their cilantro lately though. Only 2 wilted tiny, tiny bunches available and charging $1.19 for a TINY bunch. My norm for this store is 5 stars.

The weekly sales are priced nicely. The fresh produce and meats are always a reliably decent price. There is a big variety for every day needs, even though less common products may be a bit more pricey.

A nice little store. Fairly good prices on lots of items. A good variety for the size. I like that they offer paper or plastic bags & they always take your groceries to your car so they can take the basket back inside. But several items are expensive.

I went in to buy small avocados and they were marked .99 each the worker tried to charge me 2.99 each and I told her they were the small ones and she still insisted they were 2.99 each. The sign said .99 each. So heads up on avocados there. She was very rude about it too. I have never been treated that way for sure.

What can I say...it's an Ace hardware store. In my opinion one of the best places to shop...if customer service is high on your priority list. The adjacent grocery store is one of the best managed that I know of. The staff are friendly and they INSIST on helping you out with your purchase. The old fashion way... when customer service and kindness still prevailed. My one pet peeves to these businesses is the gas pumps out front aren't manned...and if you're paying cash for your gas...it's a long walk to go into the Ace hardware to pay (on inclement weather days..it's a real annoyance)

My first time going in there just passing through and very very very friendly AND OOOO MY GOODNESS the Fried Chicken is AMAZING..on MY Way back home went back again through there and stopped for some more great fresh cooked chicken the young girl cooked it awsome
