I went in the store last night 12-8-23 and I had 2 items. One was cash other was ebt. The heavy set girl with glasses and red hair was the cashier and I said this will be 2 separate transactions. And I paid for the item that was cash first and then she just pops her drawer out to switch because she was ready to go home so bad . she ignore my other transaction. That's terrible service. And the manager guy just let it happen. Worst dollar general ever. The one in San leon is wayyyy better.

Hi I would like to start by saying that this store is no good they sell alot of expired food and the white lady steps in the ice machine with her shoes to get ice out when it's only 2 bags in there instead of filling the machine so the machine is contaminated so don't buy ice from there also if you decide to work for them don't they don't know how to treat their employees and very low pay and a couple of them smoke weed while at work

Staff is very rude and impolite. Customer service sucks. Their keyboards on the registers or way back dated always saying that a customer's card is bad when it's brand new. They don't service or dust equipment so that makes it faulty. Then they're rude to the customer saying I have a bad credit card when it's brand new will not recommend anyone to ever use Dollar general in Bay cliff

Usually clean and staff is usually nice however recently they've marked up almost every product in store but refuse to update tags with the new prices, leaving the new tags in the carts, play dumb like they don't know what's going on and will flat out refuse to fix it if you bring it up. 2 girls who work there ignore customers by being on the phone talking to their boyfriends and don't bother talking to you while you try saying hello or try to ask anything and when you bring up the total due to the price markups, the manager comes and tells you oh well and turns around and leaves. WATCH YOUR TOTAL AND PRICES. MARKUPS AND NO UPDATED TAGS. Watch what you are grabbing and take note of every price on shelf vs the checkout.

I've been shopping there for 10 years and it's really cool and the staff is cool. A lot of items marked down so we can afford them. Only thing I don't like is when there is an outright thief going out the door and the buzzers beeping, no one does anything about it. In other words it's okay to steal at Dollar General and I don't like that!! That's my store, and those are my peeps that's my neighborhood store and I don't appreciate anyone disrespecting it. Plus they allow loitering. Several crystal methamphetamine people always hang out and beg for money and it's disgusting I wish we can see changes in that

Here the check out gets congested because it is by far the best dollar general in this area!! The store actually has been renovated and looks different inside then the pictures posted. This location here has lots of food selections. Where you can actually grocery shop. Once I saw an expired item and I told them and they instantly handle it. These ladies work extra hard to give us a great experience. Not including the manager is a hard worker of excellence where it shows threw the employees under her. Great manager make sure great team!!

Always friendly service. The cashier Liz is not only easy on the eyes, but very good at her job. The staff always makes you feel welcome and is assistive in finding anything you may be looking for.

Newly renovated. No longer carrying clothing however the refrigerated section of foods has expanded greatly. They are often very busy and the checkout line has been reconstructed into one feeding into various open lanes, and it's overall more spacious.

Usually have items in-stock, they have a wider selection of frozen foods than most DG. Never been treated bad, not really good either though. Convenient with a price. Some things are cheap. Others high. Better than most DG.

The store is always will kept. Shelves are stocked and organized 99% of the time. The employees seen to be well trained and helpful to customers. All-in-all it's a nice place!

My fiance and I needed a few things and this was much closer than Walmart so we thought we can just get it here. This lady at the door locked it at 9:57 PM when we got there. They clearly had 3 minutes before closing, but she was rude and just waved good bye to us. I've worked in plenty of retail places and it was always wrong to lock the doors early. I'm sure it's the same for Dollar General.

It disappoints, and saddens me VERY MUCH to be posting this post. It took FOREVER to get a store that carried more products, with reasonable prices than the little convenience store in our little community in Sunny San Leon.When The Dollar General FINALLY opened, it was quite the big deal here.., everyone was so stoked! Unfortunately, even though they have had, and still do have some of the friendliest, courteous, and very helpful employees whom struggle INFINITELY try to keep the store running... Whoever is SUPPOSEDLY in charge of this stores District is a piss-poor excuse for a district manager in my opinion.I have asked the employees why this Dollar General is so different from the rest? Almost every other Dollar General I have entered and I have been in quite a few are very well-stocked, and operate very smoothly ... What gives in our situation?We are a small community that needs something more than a small convenience store and we thought we had the answer in the Dollar General. I have personally seen the assistant manager work her days off, as well as the employees come in when off the clock to stock isles in futile attempts to bring the store up to Snuff . I have seen several can do go getters burnout and quit and lose Faith due to the frustration of not being able to get products and equipment that is comprable to other stores .I have seen the manager show local customers orders for the things that we request, when they become irate and yell at her the store sucks! Unfortunately these orders are never met. Now, the food refrigeration system and freezers have been down for 3 weeks! Yes I will repeat myself 3 weeks! No milk for us, no cheese, packaged food... and no ice cream! NOTHING for the good people in the little town of sunny San Leon from the Dollar General except for quality people, they burn out trying to do a quality job. They are overworked, underpaid, and cannot seem to get the DISTRICT MANAGEMENT, THE HOME OFFICE , or the people in charge to fill, or facilitate this FACILITY!! or repair the equipment that we need DO DESPERATELY in this store!!I am shaking my head at Dollar General!!I will definitely include some pictures as soon as I take some...and just in case you're wondering,no I have not, l nor will I ever work for Dollar General after seeing firsthand how they treat their employees-There is supposed to be a family oriented business somewhere in here... Guess we are the redheaded stepchild! Dollar General,You should be ashamed of yourselves!

This store has been a danger to the public since it opened. The citizens of San Leon have complained and reported to the corporate headquarters very many times and nothing has been done. If I or anyone I know fall or get injured in this store, it will be a shame. We don't understand why or how this one DG is so bad, filthy and dangerous, and the complete lack of correctional steps to bring it up to par. We appreciate having it close, however, it is worth our while to drive farther to the DG in another town. This will be numerous times we have asked to have this store closed down and cleaned with no action taken whatsoever. It is an embarrassment to the Dollar General name. It looks like a teenager's dirty bedroom a eyesore on every level the cashiers hang out together around the door to smoke and gossip and seem totally unfamiliar with the inventory and customer service. Absolutely ridiculous that this would go for a day much less years. The turnover rate of employees might have something to do with it. Please respond, thank you

If you want covid make sure you stop in at this place as none of the staff are wearing masks and they are also letting people in without masks. I commented on their Facebook page over two weeks ago about this and they said they would take care of it, obviously they haven't. Too bad their staff does not respect the customer's enough to protect us. I'm going back down to Family Dollar which is three blocks away and they are not only masked but they wear gloves as well.

The only reason this place gets 3 stars is because They have a big selection of frozen goods. This is a beat down store, dirty and messy. The line is always so long, i was here yesterday and actually put my items back and left because the line was all the way down the isle. I only stop here for small things i need quick, but every time i come here i see either a crack head or suspicious/weirdo people. I wouldnt stop here unless you have to. Go 3 minutes down the road to the kemah walgreens.

The Dollar General Distribution Center in Ardmore, OK is horrible. The unloaders take forever to get you unloaded. Then even longer to sign the paperwork. Plus, they have a "Call Blocker" blanket over the area where nobody has any cell phone reception. The staff blame it on the small airport next to themRegardless, a facility like Dollar General ought to have good cell phone reception. And there's no logical reason to take sooooo long to unload a trailer, and complete the paperwork. Horrible place.

This store is nasty. Doesnt have much variety to food options, and the locals that shop there are also responsible for this place getting a one star rating, so needles to say, they got a really good liquor section...

Was at the store today and paid with 5 dollars in quarters and i was told going forward un rolled change wouldnt be accepted, i will never be back to that store again, you should concentrate on serving your community and realize that there are options to your location.
