This Target is pretty small because of the location but for food, basic toiletries and make-up, it's really great. The housewares section is pretty decent as is the electronics. They know their audience and they manage to squeeze as much in as they can. And there's a Starbucks.

A nice, if slightly overpriced mini-Target right in the drag - - on the bottom floor of the Dobie Student Housing midrise. Sometimes it's hard to find an associate who can answer your questions, or to find one at all occasionally. Still a good, convenient spot.

Small Target store right across the street from the UT campus. They have a little bit of most of the essentials. An ok grocery department with even some produce and meat. Beer selection is a bit light by Austin standards.

I shop here 3-4 days a week. I love how close it is to campus. I have always had a good experience but, today there was a minor situation that warranted speaking with Vivianna, the manager. She took care of the situation, made it right & then some. With good customer service being hard to find these days. It really stands out when I find exceptional customer service. Thank you, & Target will continue to be my go to store.

Clean, fresh, great quality products. And pretty affordable. Target is one of my very best places to shop.

Sunnie, who is a supervisor at this target store is very rude. I just read other negative reviews about this ugly white woman. she harassed me when I was shopping at target. The font desk staffs are very discrimination. Jazlynn has a bad attitude and would not help me. It is discrimination because i am an Asian. Both of them are racists because they are all white. They need to be fired.Sunnie yelling at me and saying she is the big boss in the store that I can not do anything about her. She threaten me and bullied me. Both of them shouting at me and harassing me in the front desk at the same time.

This is one of the smallest Targets I've ever seen. Its really cool 😎. Its basically set up for the college kids and locals so they don't have to leave the city to get some essentials.

Small store, very close to the campus. The selection is somewhat tailored to students. Requires more variety though.

I've been shopping here for 3: years and everything has been great. Appreciate their customer service as everyone has always been very helpful. If, I can't find something, all I have to do is ask. They keep the store clean. It is a small Target when comparing it to the others but, usually have everything I need. Maybe some more ramen flavors but, I realize space is limited.Keep up the great work!

I shop here regularly for groceries and it’s usually pretty good. However, I recently bought some mushrooms and didn’t realize until I got home that they were rotten. They were slimy and smelled gross.

Of all the stores I have visited, this is the worst. The customer service is terrible. I would not recommend this store.

Check your receipts since the prices on the shelfs are often inaccurate and don't ring up correctly, especially if they're supposed to be marked down for a promotion. The staff at the front will try and tell you that the product you have isn't included in the promotion and almost never bother to go and check the shelf pricing themselves.

The store is nice and the staff friendly and helpful, However it’s complicated to find parking on Whitis Street. I am from out of town. There is a 30 minute parking but inconvenient if you have to shop longer. The staff informed me that you can park in high rise parking garage/lot, however, there is no announcement on the building indicating parking for “Target.” In addition the public parking building is ticketless and you have to pay with a credit card with no instructions for parking for Target. Target staff was very kind to explain for parking you need to pay with the credit card and st the store they provide a voucher/ ticket that can be inserted into the machine as you leave. If you are not familiar with the area it’s hard to figure out. You may want to consider the parking arrangement on 901 East 5th Steet by Cesar Chavez Street in Austin. Their parking garage indicates/ announces it’s for Target and it provides a ticket you can use to validate parking. There are better instructions there.

Store was generally well run, however the management in general has been awful. Sunny specifically had been very rude and unhelpful when assisting customers. I'd recommend going to the target on 5th Street if you can.

Seems great for college students. But prices are high, and inventory is often low. Things like cleaning supplies, and baking stuff runs out pretty fast. Essentials are still there for the most part, and there's a Starbucks inside as well.

Very small target that’s convenient if you’re looking for common items or common foods. Unfortunately, there’s a slight markup on the price of everything but it makes up for not having to drive 10 minutes to an actual target. Staff is friendly and the facility is always clean.

The location is really convenient for UT students, however, the store often runs out of very basic stuff. Inventory management is beyond poor, and needs a lot of work. When you run out of something as basic as cooking oil or a pack of table salt for 2 days in a row, you should stop being labelled a Department Store.

I went to the target for a series S and I was guided through the process. Since the product has more security, its a longer process to buy it along with not being able to able to hold it until it was checked out. The staff that I have engaged with were extremely friendly and chatted with me until the checkout was completed.

This particular Target is for the bare necessities! Don't expect a huge variety of each product. Myself in particular walked over on my lunch to grab snacks for my desk and some ibuprofen. Its a quick visit, self check out only and courteous employees. Fast and friendly.

Kind of a mix between a convenience store and large-scale department store. Great for consumer goods like snacks, school supplies, drugs and toiletries. But feels a bit lacking when it comes to stuff like clothes and electronics. Also parking isn't great either.

Prices here exploit those who can't afford to own a car to driver to the nearest HEB. Employees have very rude to me and my girlfriend here, as the second that the store closed they followed us around as we tried to decide what to drink, repeatedly telling us that the store was closed and that we needed to finish what we were getting and leave. We were told at least three times within five minutes of closing that it was closing. Yes, we were aware of the closing and understand that you want to go home, but they could see us visibly stressed and trying to quickly come to a decision. I don't know how management is here, but at all the places I've ever worked at, if an employee asked you to leave and followed you around until you did so, they would more than likely have been fired. Unfortunately, the majority of the staff had this frantic to leave attitude, so it is most likely an issue with management/bad hiring and training practices. It does get two stars because it does have a somewhat decent selection and a Starbucks inside. Shame the prices are so high and the staff was immature, because otherwise this could be a very desirable store due to it's close proximity to so many living arrangements around UT Campus. If you have a car, I implore you to seek either the nearest HEB or other grocery store located in a more residential setting as their prices will be more reasonable and their selection larger. If you don't, it's not the end of the world, but just know that your grocery bill will be steeper than usual.

This target is awesome so far! It’s smaller than a normal one, so their selection is a bit limited, but they have fresh fruits, dairy, packaged food, clothes, home goods, and even electronics for way better prices than any of the other stores within walking distance. Plus there’s a Starbucks inside! Great surprise!

Great place to grab a coffee from Starbucks, a snack, something to make your apartment look nicer, and of course, do your grocery shopping. It's like a normal sized Target, but bite-sized. They have everything your regular Target would, but in smaller quantities. I love it!

The security lady needs to chill. I've come to this target multiple times and I literally get followed around the store by the security, it makes me so stressed and I don't feel safe shopping here. This store needs to do a better job of educating their employees about racial equity.

I was honestly so glad that this Target opened up because now I can do a lot of last minute shopping very conveniently. Of course with anything being close to campus, I feel as though it may be a bit up-charged but I also think that it might just be a target thing to be more expensive than the local H-E-B or Wal-Mart. This Target location is super clean and well-organized and the staff are really helpful and well-managed. I have never gone and not found what I needed from here, whether that be food, birthdays cards and gifts, and skin care products. Check out always goes super quickly just cause its self check-out. I honestly have never looked around to see if they have a counter check out as well but I am pretty sure they do because I needed assistance when buying items before and they assisted me at a desk. There is also a Starbucks located in the Target which is nice because I am always craving my coffee fix and with it being right near the door past check out, I can just grab my cup as I am exiting the location. I think this Target is really good for a quick shop or when you really need to pick up materials because the only downside is that it is pretty costy.

This is a very small Target, convenient for stocking up on a few groceries while you’re on campus. Campus is a bit of a (grocery store) food desert, and this store fills a niche for having something within walking distance. It’s mostly self check out. Bring your own shopping bag (they’ll charge to use theirs).

Prices are high and the place is a warzone full of misguided freshmen in the early weeks of Fall Semester so you can't even buy anything.

It's a decent shop. But had people follow me around while I shopped. Then they just stood there while I was looking at clothes and as soon as I left the area they walked away as well. Great I guess being none white makes me a thief. I would have said it was my book bag but there were lots of kids with bags there. Why not just put no blacks/ethics allowed and you can save yourselves from being racist and worried of theft.

I cannot believe that guests are no longer required to wear masks within the stores. This is a safety hazard and it is ridiculous to put your staff who work multihour shifts at risk, as well as put other guests who are shopping there at risk. While orders may have been lifted, businesses are still allowed to require masks to enter stores and I cannot believe Target would just stop asking their guests to wear masks and only care about the "safety" of their staff and guests when it is popular to do so. Considering Target still requires their staff to wear masks, clearly the company understands the risks involved. I will be continuing to trek to HEB where guests are still required to wear masks and safety precautions are better taken.
