I’ve been coming here once a week and every time I would go, I would see this chameleon get worse and worse. today I went to go see him and he was just there hanging, dead with his mouth opened. I told one of the workers and she took him out. One of the ladies shopping there with her kids tried to revive and give the poor little fella some water but he was already gone. the chameleon looked extremely skinny and his water dripper was turned off and so was the chameleon next to him. I wonder how many times workers check on the animals because his water was off, looks like he wasn’t fed and was dead and only realized when I told them. I wonder if they even care for them right at all.

Jasmin will absolutely hurt your dog. Do not book grooming here! My dog has not been the same and she cut here multiple times! Literally, my dog was covered in cuts from her, and it is clear she hates her job… you do NOT want to leave your animals here in their care, because they will abuse it. I hate that this happened and I’m trying to warn others. DO NOT USE GROOMING HERE!

Have always my dogs to petco locations & I know it takes several hours to be groomed, but it does not take 6 hours. He is a small, well-kept, 15 pound dog. Nothing crazy. The groomer called me earlier in the day to see if I could bring him 2 hours early, which I agreed to. 4 hours later with no update, I decide to go and check on my dog at the store because no answer on the phone. Groomer tells me to come back an hour later, which I do, and end up having to wait another hour for him to be ready. When I expressed my concern to the groomer (also manager), all she said was she had other dogs and it takes this long anyway, which I disagree. The lack of communication, attitude, and unapologetic manner was unprofessional and disheartening. I work in customer service and I don’t typically complain, but the overall demeanor of the groomer (manager) was not okay. So, if the groomer has a bad day, you and your pet might have a bad day and choppy haircut as well.

Very disappointed with this location’s grooming experience. We have been Petco’s customers for years and this one was by far the least professional. I left with such bitter taste in my mouth that I had to come here and write a review. The groomer who was “taking care” of my dog was so condescending and seemed like she would rather be anywhere else in the world but there, doing her job.She ended up shaving my dog all the way down just because that was easier for her to do than to do the right thing for the dog. My dog was never shaved in its entire life before. It had a grooming session 3 weeks ago so I know for the absolute fact that there was no need for suuuuch dramatic cut. My dog is curly and I understand that matts are not on anyone’s list of fun things to do but this was so unnecessary. My dog is literally naked. Not even a short cut it was shaved alllll the way down. I honestly wish she canceled my appointment instead than doing what she did.Not to mention that no one picks up the phone, like ever. We tried reaching them to say that they should contact us on a different phone number for pick up but nothing. We ended up going to the store after 5h because we were told that that’s how long it will take and also they didn’t have the number they could reach us on but she was so pissed to see us there and then she said it was gonna take another hour. We were like ok no worries no rush. Now that I know what she was doing, 6h to shave a dog down?? Ok, we waited around the area.When it was time to take the dog, she banged on the glass to call us over in such unprofessional and rude way, we were just appalled with it all.I’m not much of a reviewer but when you are a customer somewhere and you leave a place feeling like we did today, all while you are paying for certain service, you gotta let people know

Zero service. They made me reschedule my first appointment for a week later bc THEY were running behind. Fine. Then they make me take an 8 am for the next. My poor dog got sick on the way in the worst traffic. They wouldn't see her bc i was 10 minutes late. I will NEVER take my dog to this location again.

so bad it is actually insane. the employees are condescending and unprofessional, the groomers don’t know what they’re doing, and the hours they say they are open aren’t even true. they open at 8 but don’t take customers if they’re ten minutes late because of TRAFFIC. even though they don’t have any other grooms to do. they have rescheduled multiple grooms because they didn’t know what they were doing, and will give you a time to come in, and then be surprised when you do???? literally never go here PLEASE.

Love the employees at this Petco. I've taken many dog training classes with my own and my partner's dog. The trainers are patient and knowledgeable. Been going there at least a decade and plan for many more.

Went in last week asked the worker Roxy, for help she was very rude very unprofessional she couldn’t even escort me to the right department for actual help. Petco needs to get better workers that actually wanna help and not have an attitude on helping lost customers in the store. This is at the Hancock location

This is a review of the Hancock location. I went to buy a goldfish. I had set-up a small 5 gallon tank to start. I was told they would not sell me the fish as they need at least a 40 gallon tank. I wasn’t planning on staying with the small tank but after they refused to sell me the fish, I didn’t feel like explaining. The kicker is the fact that there were tanks with multiple DEAD FISH in them. They wouldn’t sell me a goldfish, yet they let fish die and just float in the tanks?! I put the rest of my merchandise back and will no longer buy from the store.

I took my dog here for grooming - bath, brush, and teeth care. Gabby was a wonderful groomer.She was kind with my dog. When I picked my dog up, she was happy and tail wagging. Kira felt and smelled clean.

This has to be the worst Petco I have seen in along time and I travel alot of places I am very sad for how the animals are being treated I plea for animals rights pda or afda to come in and evaluate this place. They do not know how to care properly for the animals and I fear they maybe selling sick animals to the public.They need to be shut down staff changed and regulated properly.I have proof in my pictures.Their bathrooms and sanitization is not good very dirty not well kept at all.Please someone go in and review the unhealthy habits that are happening here!!!

This is a review on their grooming. My pyrenees mix enjoyed a bath with a long brush out and manicure. The groomer brought my dog back to me happy, and looking like a million bucks!

Incredible, 5 star service and wonderful, caring staff! I adopted a cat at this Petco, and I was so surprised by the warm welcome and excellent guidance I received from Azul. She did an outstanding, superstar job helping me shop for my new kitty, giving valuable insight from her own cat's favorites with remarkable kindness and patience. Thanks to her, I adopted my sweet, soon-to-be spoiled shelter cat and we are all set with everything we need for a wonderful life together! Thank you so much, Petco and especially to Azul for the amazing, 5-star service and genuine care! You made my day and life!!!UPDATE: Our new kitty is settled in and LOVES everything Azul helped us pick out from Petco! Azul knows what cats like so well and she helped us so much! Thank you!

Took my Cooper here today for his first grooming appointment. We we're both nervous. The staff was super friendly, they made sure Cooper felt comfortable with them and that I felt comfortable leaving him with them. Paula did a amazing job with him. He went in a fur ball and had so much access hair on his bottom it looked as if he had 2 tails. He came out looking amazing and even had a little attitude like he knew he looked good. That in itself is he enough to let me know he feels great cleaned and trimmed down. Thank you so much to all the staff on duty today, y'all are AMAZING! We will definitely be back! ❤️

Great place to go for dog and cat needs. They however do a terrible job carrying for the fish they keep there. You expect a couple of dead fish at pet stores. It is sometimes unavoidable, but they had at least 20 dead just floating around half where in just one tank.

Just moved here from Arkansas and the ladies that work here the white burnet with the short cut and the black cashier with the colors on her badge gave me the ritz Carlton of customer services. They went above and beyond helping find the right cage and all for my fur baby. Thank you all again

You and your best friend will be taken care of for sure. I had exceptionally great customer service and it just felt really nice to have someone shop with you for about an hour going over different things that you may not have thought of. And since I am a first time dog owner I needed a lot of help! I sure did get the help I needed here and then some. But - BUT - the gentleman who helped me may have been TOO GOOD of a salesman because I spent way more than I wanted 😂😭

I have taken my dog to this grooming location for a long time. I used to live in the area, and now that I live further away, I don't mind driving to take him for baths once a month. The manager at this location is so helpful, and the staff are warm and friendly. I highly appreciate and recommend their services.

went in looking for a hamster they did not want to sell me because they said it was a safety concern for the hamster so we decided we would want to get a big fish for our tank again they did not want to sell us the fish cause he said we didn't have our tanks running long enough in all honesty they just were not trying to sell there animals i hate coming to this place to look for pets because they never just want to sell anything i honestly think that if we are going in there to buy anything we should not be turned down we went home empty handed and wasting out time even showing up

Re: groomingThis was my first time taking my small, short-hair terrier to be groomed at this location. Lina is a very fearful dog, and the staff was very patient with her and made sure she was as comfortable as possible. She was very clean and her nails were trimmed well.I took off three stars because this service was supposed to include 15 minutes of brushing, but when I picked Lina up I asked if a lot of fur came off and the staff told me hardly any came off and that she isn’t shedding.I didn’t believe this because I know how much she sheds at home. So when we came home I immediately brushed her and the amount of fur I got is in the picture attached to this review. I am very frustrated as brushing is the main reason I booked this service and I ended up having to do it myself anyway.I plan to call tomorrow when the store opens to request a refund and will try to update this post if I am able with their response.

This store works in a pinch even though it doesn’t carry everything you may be looking for. A smaller store that tends to pack too much stuff into the aisles. And never enough staff or cashiers.Stopped in here quickly to pick up some snacks for my pup.
