I usually try to adopt from shelters but if you're not able to this store is also a good option. Their rabbits look healthy and the employee was interacting with them a lot to make sure they get socialized. Everyone there clearly cares for the animals and goes out of their way to make sure you're educated on proper care. They also have a great selection of supplies and this is one of the few in-person stores I can find proper rabbit food at in Austin. The facility itself is also very clean and well kept !

Couldn’t ask for a better place to take my dog. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The store is cleaned and they have the best self-wash station ever.Don’t even waste your time at PetSmart or Petco.

It is a fun store to go in and see all the different types of animals and everyone is really nice and kind. The store has a lot of different items for your pets to! 😊

Awesome place that has a whole bunch of stuff for all common pets. They have bird, cat, dog, fish, reptile, and even other supplies for some of your uncommon pets (like tarantulas). Place was clean and didn't have any odor which seems to be an uphill battle for many other pet stores, so good job Pet Supermarket! Customer service is lacking however, there was no hello or acknowledgement from the three employees that were on the floor as they saw me looking around until I finally reached checkout. Luckily though that doesn't bother me and I was able to freely explore the entire store without getting stopped. However, I know that this is a pet-peeve for many other shoppers, so please correct this while you can. Check out was very quick and painless, straight to the point yet kind and professional! Lovely store that has fair prices for their massive inventory, just need to correct the lack of customer service.

I love the staff here. They are so helpful and you can tell they actually care about pets and what they do. They hosted a Halloween party and they were so accommodating. I love this place.

The store was lovely and full of options and the animals looked decently cared for. However, the customer service was lacking. I was greeted upon entering the store but that was all. No offer to help me find anything, and nobody checked on me despite being in the store a good 15+ minutes clearly wandering around. This is a very large store with several options and honestly if somebody had bothered to talk to me I probably would have spent quite a bit more. It's my cat's birthday today so I was really just there to spend a lot of money that I didn't need to spend. Instead I got a pack of worms for our newt and I got my cat one single bag of treats. I was browsing at beds and toys and would have been happy to buy both but honestly after being ignored in the store I felt like spending my money elsewhere. Worse yet, when I checked out I noticed one of the two people there was actually the store manager. It's just surprising to me that especially with the store manager at the store on duty that I would be ignored my entire shopping experience. Rather than help me, she and the young man she was working with were just having personal conversation. All in all it was not the worst experience I've ever had but I imagine this store has a lot of untapped potential and sales being missed out on due to staff negligence. May want to shape up and do some re-training. Enhancing the customer experience goes a long way in sales profits :)

Returned a bag of dry lamb kibble without any hesitation. Naturally I HAD to select some treats. Still had a credit so we converted to a GC. 😁 Now to walk in as if money wasn't an object. 😂 My dogs think they have a hooman Goddess! 🤣

I usually try to shop local to support the local biz. Wont be going here anymore. The same 60$ anvantix is 30$ on amazon. Didn't realize till I left. Why do you hose your locals? I'm ok w a small markup but double??

The entire staff is so friendly & helpful & this place has amazing deals on food, treats & other stuff pretty much everyday. I get my dog food there & it can be anywhere from 25-75% off. Yep! No lie! Last month, I got earth born holistic dog food for 75% off. Then they always have the buy 1 get 1 free shelf stocked full of many options like treats, wet food, toys, etc. Definitely give this place a try. Your pocketbook & pets will love you for it!

Nice and clean store. I went here looking for some fish and was not disappointed. They don't have a lot of tanks but they sure maximize what space they have available to provide a good selection. Pricing I found to be on par if not better than most other places in Austin for fish and live plants. I'll definitely come back for more.

Amazing store to buy a pet! I recently bought a female guinea pig and my experience was amazing. The workers were all so kind and you could tell they really care about each animal. Definitely recommend if you're looking to adopt a pet here :)

I've only been here a couple times but the staff is very friendly and willing to assist with anything. The shop is clean and they have food and supplies for exotic/ less common pets. Had fun stopping in recently when we took some time to play with their ferrets. I like this store and plan to come in weekly for all my pet food.

I go to the store to give my dog a bath. It is only $10 they give you all the shampoo you need plus 2 towels. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

I live nearby this pet store and have been a few times. The first time I had asked about a specific treat for my cat and the employees knew exactly what and where it was. Recently, I adopted a puppy and they helped me by providing a checklist of all the basics I would need to purchase and helped as well with locating the items. I keep going here because the people who work here are not only very friendly but also helpful and experienced. :)

Pet Supermarket is amazing. They have great deals on good supplies and you can tell they really care about the animals in their care. You can even adopt local cats and kittens in need on site.The staff was super friendly and are helpful in finding items that suit your needs. They will even direct you to items on sale if it's what you're looking for for your fur baby. That alone made me feel like it was not just about getting the best sale out of me. This is officially my new favorite pet shop. :) Keep up the great work yall.

Really wonderful, knowledgeable staff that work here! We adopted our kitten from here and they gave us good suggestion about what kitten to pick to fit with our dog. There's a loyalty program, dog shower facility for $10/shower, a sizeable toy and treat area. Very convenient location right by HEB.

At first when they opened they were blasting Christian music which gave me the spooks so I left...after a little while of being open, they have really expanded as a business and I love their little ferrets :) We get our cat food/toys etc from there. They carry the brands that are good for your pet and that you won't find at your regular stores. #meowmixisdangerous. Very friendly, informative, and helpful staff too! Thanks guys!

Great new addition to the neighborhood! Very friendly staff and decent prices on high quality brands. They have great sales and coupons periodically. Plus the dog wash stations are cheaper than other places, but not as nice as the Tomlinson's wash rooms.

I had a great experience at Pet Supermarket! I stopped in because it was convenient to my other errands. They had a nice variety of dog beds and dog toys, which is what I was looking for. They had bird and rabbits for sale and a large section of cat items. I will return when I need more dog toys or other goods

This store has lost me as a customer. I bought a dog collar on sale that didn’t have the size listed on the item. I asked the sales person/asst. manager at the check out what size it was and she told me that it was a size small. My dog, part mini-poodle, wears a small. Perfect - or so I thought. I brought the collar home and tried to put it on my dog but it was much too small. I measured the collar and it was 9” from the loosest hole to the clasp. That is the standard size for xs, not small. When I took the collar back to the store to do an exchange I was told by the same person who gave me the erroneous information about the collar size that it was a final sale and to donate it. Seriously? Way to stand by your products and advice given to customers, Pet Supermarket. What a waste of $!. Why don’t I just take a $10 bill and light it on fire. I will never patronize them again.

Great selection and the staff is helpful and kind. Right next to HEB so I can knock out groceries and pet supplies without moving my car.I brought my puppy in to get him some food and a new toy. The kind staff offered to carry the food out to the car for me so I didn't have to juggle that while walking a puppy. It's a small gesture but it makes a big difference.

Huge array of any and every kind of pet supply you could think of! Even a pet washing station. I've found that the Heb in the same shopping center tends to be out of the pet food I need so it's soooo convenient to have this Pet Supermarket so close!

It wasn't bad, just kind of okay. Doesn't have the same flavor as some of Austin's old school pet stores. Maybe in time it will gain some personality and diverse inventory. More local vendors would make it more appealing.

The employees are always so knowledgeable, whether you're asking questions about a dog or a fish. If they don't know the answer, they find out! There is a big supply of products even though the store is much smaller than a typical petsmart. Also, everything is reasonably priced compared to Tomlinsons. To me, it is a happy place!
