Great local pet shop, high end stuff so it's more expensive than your big box stores but you get great service and high quality products. We recently adopted a dog so we took advantage of their adoption special. They have everything you need from food and treats, to supplements, toys and harnesses; they even have dog wash stations with all the supplies! Stewart was very helpful is all my new puppy questions. Definitely recommend.

Always a great time taking in my dog for a bath & health needs! Their self wash system is easy to use and so convenient for our big boi. The owner is a pet nutritionist and I appreciated their guidance on moving Chico from kibble to better feeding options. Plus their froyo options make for a great treat during this Texas heat. We love our local pet store 🏽

This pet store is great! They have 2 private stalls to self-wash your pup—this is huge for our anxious girl. This was the easiest bath she’s ever had. They pre-mix the shampoo and have options for hypoallergenic, de shedding, and itching skin relief shampoos AND a conditioner. They have everything you could need including brushes, a pet blow dryer, towels, and ever ear wipes! The people who work here are so nice and helpful. They have cat/dog froyo—they rule!

The employees checked on myself and my dog, Periwinkle, and made sure we were finding everything OK and made wonderful suggestions! I've been visiting as many local pet stores as I can and Paws on Chicon is definitely a top favorite.My dog AND cat enjoy the goats milk froyo. They use great ingredients from wonderful brands.I appreciate there being an actual pet nutritionist on staff for the company! That's so awesome! You know the information you're given is up to date and they have your pets best interest in mind. I can't wait to see them grow alongside the community.

It was mine and Dorian's first time here, too. I absolutely enjoyed and loved the environment this cute pet shop emits. We felt welcomed and at home. Upon arriving my demon goblin peed on of the corners of the aisle. Hayli came to the rescue and helped clean it up; when I was flustered about the little accident. Both the girls Hayli and Karoline were very informative about the products that they had on hand. Karoline informed me that on weekends Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. They have soft serve ice cream for your pooch made with Goat milk. I went for the freeze dried dog treats they had near the entrance. I will say that they're reasonably priced. They had duck neck, salmon, snout, turkey neck, AND GATOR SKIN. When I explored the store a little bit more I discovered that they have self wash dog stations. With everything you need to bathe your dog. You can also get your dog cleaned up for their selfie in the corner of the store

This is a special place! At any time of the day I have walked in ( even when I cut it close to closing) I am greeted with a welcoming friendly smile and a helping hand. I NEVER feel rushed and I love that the employees take the time to answer any questions or even take items to the front to hold for you so that you don't have to carry your items around the store. It's so refreshing to walk into a store and have a consistent level of customer service each time! It's always organized and clean so things are easy to find. If you want to shop in confidence to ensure that you are buying good quality products then you MUST shop here! Paws on Chicon is a true Austin Gem!

We love the bathing suits at Paws on Chicon! My partner and I have worked at doggy daycares with groom rooms that offer bathing; our pup NEVER got as clean as she does when we go to Paws on Chicon! The awesome bathing box premixes the shampoo (three different options) and conditioner (leave in!) and all smell great. They have everything you need- brushes, nail clippers, head sock, towels, a blow dryer with heat and strength settings (which is HUGE if your pup doesn’t do well with blow dry) and conditioning coat spray. We even bought some of the coat spray for at home because we’re obsessed with it! Our pup Sega is always happy to come in, even for bath time. She knows we’ll always treat her to a chewy or some in house puppy soft serve. Happy to have Paws on Chicon right around the corner from us :)

They have a great self service wash station for your pets go in sign up and use all the wash tools they have shampoos conditioner blow dryers brushes ear wipes towels everything is there ready to use for your pet have great options to choose from for dogs and treats as well we bought both of my pups a cake for their birthday and froyo is great as well the toys are super durable my pup hasn’t destroyed the two we bought I recommend this store for anybody who loves their pets! They loved the cake and donut we bought from paws on Chicon

This is the cutest pet shop l've ever been to! I heard they serve doggy froyo, and just had to come by and the store did not disappoint! When I walked in with my pups, I began walking around to explore with them. Two staff members approached me to ensure they could provide me any assistance I needed. They made me feel very welcome, and they were so kind to my fur babies. I went home with so many cute goodies for my babies. My favorite thing about this shop was their meat bar. My dogs LOVE chicken feet and chicken heads, and I'm so happy to have finally found a shop close to home to pickup their goodies.They also have interesting pieces for your pup to enjoy like crocodile feet! I also thought their bakery area was so cute. They have the most adorable biscuits, designed to look like a variety of things like pizza, pie, etc. During this trip, I got both of my pups a cup of froyo with beef and liver topper, chicken feet, chicken heads, crocodile feet, and four bakery treats designed to look like blueberry pie. I highly recommend coming to this local small business for your pet needs! Plus, if you become a customer they have a loyalty and rewards program :) Doggy froyo is only served Friday-Sunday!

We just move to a new place and it’s great to have a Paws near us. We tried the self dog-wash stations on this location for first time and our Siberian Husky just love it. The staff made us fell very welcome. Definitely recommend

My pup loves coming in on the weekend for the soft serve froyo! It’s so cute how it even gets toppings! And sometimes I stop in on my way home from the gym just to pick up a cup from the freezer on weekdays.The staff is always friendly and helpful. They have cute cookies which I have given as party favors to my dog mom friends, and today I even saw edible cards!They have self grooming stations which have EVERYTHING! The shampoo and conditioner run through with the water. The dryer is super high power, and they provide an ear hoodie for noise protection.They even gave me a bottle of water which I needed after giving my beast a bath and blow dry. I love the attention to detail.Just all around a great stop.

We love everything Paws on Chicon offers. But we especially like using the dog wash for our two dogs. We use the dog wash pass and it makes it a great deal. We also like getting the goat’s milk froyo and the raw goat milk topper for their food. The toys and treats are also on point! Not to mention they are next to the best vet in Austin. Highly recommend!

First time visitor to the Soco location. Very impressed! Jax LOVED his Froyo bacon flavor & birthday donut for his 5th birthday!! GREAT selection of all natural food, both kibble & raw. Awesome toys, bones, treats, bakery, freezer and Froyo options...they have 2 self-service dog wash stations which are each in separate rooms, which I LOVE...will be trying that. Super friendly staff, tons of parking...Will definitely be going back!!

We helped Saving South Texas animal rescue for the paws on chicon event. We had a great time and helped some animal lovers find a furr-baby! This is the first year we had a booth setup but our 3rd time attending.

Paws on Chicon helps me feed my entire paw squad without having to think too much if they're getting the best foods and treats to help them live long lives. Choosing the "right stuff" can be overwhelming as a pet parent, but I'm grateful to Keith and the Paws team for always taking the time to share their knowledge and make great recommendations. The best part, they're never pushy, which is one of the reasons I stopped going to another local chain, tbqh. It's just a wonderful experience for both humans and dogs here. I highly recommend checking them out!P.S. If you're ever looking for niche items such as Plaque Off, Glandex, Origins 5 in 1, or Firm Up, Paws carries them! And EXCELLENT durable plush toy selection.

Great store with amazing selection of high end food and toys. Tuff and Stuff, Stella and Chewy, puppy froyo, baths just to name a few of my favorites that they have. Would highly suggest following them to check out the events they host. We went to their annual drag show and had a great time.

I am so happy I found this pet store! I recently got a Dalmatian and they are the only place in Austin that sells the recommended food for Junipers breed. Juniper loves going to visit and they have so many cute doggy tags that I just stumbled upon today! So cute! The staff is amazing and very helpful! I can’t believe this pet store has been down the street from me and I just found it! I’ll never go to another pet store, as you all have EVERYTHING Juniper loves. Thanks so much for being great!

If you haven't been to Paws on Chicon, definitely visit them for your little one's food, treats, care products, birthday cookies, froyo (dogs and cats love), toys, leashes and more. The staff makes you feel so welcome and greet you as soon as you walk in. I go to the Congress one as I live close and work down the street.They are also helpful finding the perfect items and very knowledgeable. Always love going there and will be back soon!

We Switched to paws on Chicon 6 months ago and it’s amazing! All of our fur babies love the amazing staff they have! every time we come in Staff loves to love on our pups, incredible costumer service!Great variety of foods,treats,toys and more! I have been coming to this store for a while now and really enjoyed it, up until today when I brought some treats in to exchange and when I simply told the person behind the counter that it chipped my dogs tooth, like I wasn’t even mad about it I just wanted to get something else he liked, he was EXTREMELY RUDE and basically sarcastically told me I was wrong. Like fought with me about it! Turns out he is the OWNER of the store. I’m shocked and appalled that someone would act this way when they are the owner towards a customer. Taking my business for my two dogs elsewhere.

The associate Larry took such great pride in the store and everything that can be offered. We found a new food option for my dog in her older years, which he recommended First Mate and she loves it!! We love bringing our 125 lb rottweiler here for the self-serve baths. As you can imagine, it's hard to find a space to bath a big baby, so Paws is ideal. Shampoo, brush, towels and ear wipes are also all included for grooming. And the gals that work there are always friendly and helpful. The price is great and the grooming packages available are also great options. I do wish there was a better step to get our dog up in the bath box.And we'll we always get our dog a peanut butter doggy donut after a good bath. She loves them!

If you have pets!! Do yourself a favor and shop at Paws on Chicon!! I’ve never had such a great pet store to go to. They are super helpful and don’t make you feel like they are judging you. The amount of knowledge that the employees have is incredible. Their froyo for pups is amazing too. They helped me move to a better dog food that’s affordable. They’ve given me so many tips with the frozen dog bones I buy. Like what kind of dog food patte to use or that you can put peanut butter in them and make them last longer to save your wallet!! Also the best thing about it..... You get a free bag of bones and free bag of 33 lbs dog food on your 12th buy! They just opened a new location near Congress and William Cannon!! Go check it out. I am so glad that I live a mile away from this amazing business. I have been to many small business pet stores and this one by far has the BEST service. Every time we walk in we are always greeted with smiles. I am amazed at how knowledgeable all of the staff is with everything in there. I moved to Austin a handful of months back and my pups stomach wasn’t handling it well, they patiently helped me throughout the entire process by picking the right food and treats. I had to return a Bag because my pup just wasn’t interested and the process was so damn smooth. I can’t ask for a better place to purchase all of my pets needs! I won’t go elsewhere! The bonus is that my pup also goes to Roots right across the way and it’s just makes it so easy to get the best care and nourishment for him. Thanks Keith and the team! You truly are the best!

This place is really cute and has great brands available. We used the doggie bath service and had everything we needed to bathe our basset hounds. Their coats are clean and shiny. The employees were kind enough to also give us some samples of food brands to take home as well.

We stophere often. Great products and people, daughter gets cookies for her dog all the time. They had a fun parking lot festival last week so keep an eye out for that too.
