Paws on Chicon is the best store in Austin. Keith can help you with food issues and recommend you only the best available food for your pets. This store has the best toys, best supplements, best raw frozen food, and the best treats because I’ve tried them all. And the BEST FROYO IN TOWN. I even take the Froyo 596 miles to El Paso for my dog friends. So go try them out on their Chicon location or on South Congress location. This place is Paco Approved!

What a great spot to take your dog! They have really great quality dog products and a really convenient dog wash station. The dog wash station had everything you could ask for the team really made sure everything was thought of to wash up your dog. The staff was really helpful and attentive. The highlight of the trip was the doggy froyo they have. My dog max fell in love with it and we definitely will be back. This place was created by someone who really loves and understands caring for dogs.

I am SUPER picky about pet stores and Paws on Chicon met and exceeded expectations. Whenever I’m on vacation, I love to visit local pet stores and learn what’s popular in the area. I was thrilled to see that they carry only the highest quality of pet foods and have a wide variety of novel treats and chews (it’s SO hard to find kangaroo/crocodile). The staff was super nice/knowledgable and made my nervous pup, Yeti, feel right at home. Her favorite part of the experience was the doggie fro-yo with goat cheese topper. Having the toppings variety is such a cute idea! Hoping to return to try out the bath before we travel home.

Paws is my favorite pet store in Austin…and maybe anywhere. The employees are knowledgeable and helped us move our pup to a better food for her health. Their treat selection is a dog’s dream, particularly the pet friendly froyo! We also use their dog wash station regularly - good wash products, always fully stocked. Highly recommend this local spot!

Keith and the staff at Paws on Chicon are incredible. I had been in when they first opened and liked the place, soon after we had moved and it was just a little too out of the way (we moved far away). So I was happy when they opened another location near my on far South Congress. We have two dogs, one who is allergic to everything. Stomach troubles and hotspots turned lesions kinda trouble. Keith and the rest of his amazing staff listened to everything we had to say about her and from there offered up advice on change in diet, and actually backed this up with hard, easily verified, evidence. I had been skeptical right up until our dog suddenly had poops that could be scooped and hair that was growing back.We shop exclusively at Paws these days. Between their incredible knowledge, attention to details, and eagerness to help I just couldn't imagine going elsewhere. They also have savory Fro-Yo. What's not to love?10/10 would & do.

Paws on Chicon is a stand out pet store that offers both honest and sincere advice to customers! I adopted a German Shepard/ Husky mix in the summer and they offered plenty of free sample products to figure out what food, chews, and treats my pup liked the best. They also have a great dog washing station that makes life a breeze washing my 80lb dog. I cannot recommend enough. Prices are comparable to a big box store and you get the personalized service only a small business/ locally owned store can provide. Take your four legged friend here! You won't be disappointed!!

We love paws on chicon! They always treat my doge like a member of their family. We took Tako in for his bday and gotcha day to get some treats and they made it a great experience. Awesome customer service and knowledgeable staff. Great range of products as well, not your basic pet store. Go in for a special treat like the froyo for your special fren.

The store is really nice and the staff are friendly and helpful. LOVE the self-wash stations for the dogs. By far the cleanest and best maintained I've ever been to.This doesn't lose them a star because it's an instance, but my one minus is that there are often quite a few dogs in the store (not the issue, of course) and some of them are unfriendly/negatively reactive to other dogs. I get it - it's a very stimulating space - but staff and dog owners could do a lot better with responding when a dog behaves aggressively in the store.I've had a dog lash out at mine - who was not trying to approach - and the dog and owner were standing right near the store entrance, so there was no way to easily get around/away from them to go down the aisles with my dog. The dog's owner and the staff member who was helping them just stood there and kept chatting like it was acceptable and normal for that dog to lunge at mine. If it were me, I would have moved out of the way or, as staff, guided the reactive dog/owner out of the way of the entrance.

We've love this shop! The staff are always friendly and so helpful with any questions. We made the shift to a higher quality ingredient food on our first visit and have seen both our dogs energy increase. Our 11 year old acts like a young pups again and our 4 year old has less skin issues and irritability. Thank you PoC Team!

So expensive, always out of the food size my pup needs, thinking it’s really not worth the bang for my buck. After leaving today without what I needed and being asked to drive to their other location during rush hour, I think I’m done and will just start ordering from Amazon. Tried supporting local and the kind owners but it’s so inconvenient at this point….

Best pet store I have EVER been to!! The owners and employees were so kind and friendly! They had an incredible adoption program that got us some free stuff for our new kitty! All staff is educated on pet nutrition and they even have pet friendly soft serve! Cant recommend enough, thank you again!!

We adore this shop! Keith and his crew are excellent! Keith was accommodating, honest, and highly knowledgeable regarding my dog’s food pickiness. He suggested Tucker’s Raw Food, and now Mango waits for her meals and licks her bowl shining clean! A first with her, and we have been getting compliments on how beautiful her skin and coat are. Keith researches everything thoroughly at Paws on Chicon, and he doesn’t carry anything in his store that isn’t up to a high level of quality. I know I can shop at this store without doing a crazy amount of research on the foods and treats they sell here because the expertise of Keith and his crew is exceptional. We will happily shop here regularly moving forward. Oh, and we also received a handwritten welcome/thank you card with a little token :)

Whether it’s your basic pet food needs or a special (healthy) fro -yo treat for your pup that isn’t full of sugar — they nail it with their selection and knowledge. While their cat section may look small at first there are a ton of great choices and they have great high quality products. I always purchase the Primal nuggets for my cat. Love shopping small and supporting this local business.

Sadie (my pup) and I love Paws on Chicon! They always carry high quality food and treats and the staff is super knowledgeable. For the first time yesterday, we used one of their dog wash stations. I wasn’t sure how it would go but it was perfect. It was the easiest bath I’ve ever given Sadie. Highly recommend if you don’t have a tub or another convenient way to wash your dog at home.

I initially came in for the DIY dog washing station, but Megan really blew my first visit to Paws out of the park for me! I will definitely be bringing Zeus back to bathe here. As I was getting ready to check out, Megan asked what food I feed my dog. As I was telling her, I expressed my concerns about how he is the pickiest eater & hasn’t been eating his breakfast but will eat dinner since he’s probably starving by then. Megan asked if there was a specific reason I feed this diet & based on my answer pulled out several samples to take home to try, for free! Also recommended a raw topper to add to his kibble to see if that spiked his interest. I took everything home & my dog ate his entire breakfast with the topper Megan recommended after refusing breakfast this morning! Megan is definitely knowledgeable about different foods and the stores’ merchandise. Needless to say I’ll be coming back to check out what else I can find at this store.

My cat is a picky, carb addicted diabetic who only ever wanted to eat dry kibble. After he got diagnosed, I picked up some of their recommended food and after a few cans, he finally decided to try it, and ate it all. It's only been two days and his whole palette seems to have changed. I just fed him some rotisserie chicken, which he'd never touch, and he ate it out of my hand. Only one day at this store's recommendation has seemed to change his mind on protein!

Awesome place! Prices are pretty much what you’d expect anywhere else - the upside to this place is it’s locally owned, and some super cool things on the inside. A dog washing station, raw and fresh food, and some funky things like donut treats. Definitely a cool place to get your pet the things they need!

We love Paws on Chicon! They have a great dog washing station, they always offer me a headband for my dog's ears so he doesn't get water in them. A big selection of treats and toys, and my dog goes CRAZY for the froyo. Everything you want in a neighborhood pet store!

Paws on Chicon is my go-to dog food store. The owner is soooo friendly and is always suggesting the best items for my pup. He recommended a new food which has helped so much with his itchy skin! All his treats are healthy and all natural and the new goats milk froyo machine is every dogs favorite!! Did I mention they have a new washing station too?! This place has it all and I seriously can’t get enough!
