The best haircut my puppy has received yet- can’t wait to come back for the next one! She looks even better than the reference photos I used. She got the face / feet/ tail trim because her body fur was still a fine length from a previous cut.

Omg, this place is amazing, very friendly staff, Abu was well treated from the moment of arrival to the time he left, he was fine at home, I know trips like that can make him overwhelmed, but at this time he was rested and not overwhelmed. And he was smelling soooooo good. I will definitely be bringing him back more often.

I switched our three year old Maltese from another groomer in town for the first time, and Sarah at Mod Mutt did such a great job!! Max has never looked so good, and all the staff was very kind and professional. Max came back calm and happy, in addition to looking quite dapper. I am thrilled. We will definitely be back!!

This is the best groomer in Texas. The staff genuinely cares about your pets well-being and takes the time to go the extra mile to ensure the job is done right as well as that your pet is comfortable/safe.I never thought my pup would get excited when we pull into the parking lot the groomers, but I’ve been proven wrong. He runs to the door acting like he’s headed to doggy daycare, and rushes to his favorite groomer.

If you have a dog with allergies that requires excellent grooming and skin care, consider bringing them to MMS! My rescue bulldog, Dolly, came to me with numerous skin issues, including multiple yeast infections, allergies, and an infected tail pocket. MMS offers discounts for pre-scheduled, recurring visits so I began bringing her every two weeks, and now it's a weekly routine. Dolly has never looked or felt better, she gets so many compliments now.The staff at MMS has been incredibly supportive at every step of Dolly's journey to better health. They keep her medicated shampoo and wrinkle cream at the salon, sparing me the hassle of bringing it each time. They provide special care and attention for any new spots or irritations that may have emerged since her last visit. Moreover, they offer detailed observations about changes they notice, in case I need to address them with her vet and dermatologist.When I had her tested for allergies, MMS requested her results to stay informed about potential irritants. When I started her on allergy shots and anti-fungal medication, they shared observations on her progress. She's is now better behaved even during occasional baths at home. As soon as we walk in, Dolly runs to one of the owners for a belly rub. She genuinely adores every person who works there though I think Eliana has a special place in her heart. Her butt starts wagging the minute she hears her voice.Being a bulldog, a rescue, and having sensitive skin made me cautious about where to take her for grooming. I am thrilled and extremely grateful to have found MMS. The care and support they provide go above and beyond typical grooming salons. This has made both my life and Dolly's life much easier.

We just moved from the east coast and needed to have my shih tzu groomed asap since she is struggling with the heat. I called them and went to check their salon personally, the phone call was pleasant and scheduling was smooth. I was able to come in the next day. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. It was, overall a great experience. Will definitely bring my pup back. You can see she looked great in the photos!

Absolutely love bringing my rescue pup here. He was scared of everything and anything prior to beginning training and exposure. His tail is always wagging once we leave and he’s eager to get out of the car once we park!We do a bath every other month, and a face/feet/tail trim on the other months. They trim his private areas very crisp and are open to feedback on what we’d like cut. I don’t think we’ll ever try another place :)

I've been bringing my poodle to Mod Mutt Salon for over a year and he loves it!!! Before I found Mod, my poodle was extremely apprehensive about being groomed and would growl at the buzzing sound of the clippers. I can confident say, Ramsey loves being groomed! I was shocked. Best groomer ever!! Eliana is always up for a challenge and is mindful when it comes to doing what’s best for your dogs health and well being. I have a Rough Collie (Dolly), and Eliana grooms her beautifully, when all others would give up and shave her. Eliana has built such a great relationship with my dog, and has taught me so much about grooming that breed. I now have the right tools to use at home and Eliana keeps us on a good maintenance schedule to help grow Dolly’s fur back to normal - Huge THANK YOU to Mod Mutts.

I've been going to Mod Mutt for years now, ever since they opened up their first location on North Lamar (that location has since moved to become the Denson location).My dog Pepper Jack has never been great for baths when I take him to self-washes, but when he goes to Mod Mutt he acts totally different!I usually get him bathed with a de-shed and nail trim and he always comes out smelling and feeling better than I could ever hope to do myself.The staff at Mod Mutt are super friendly and they just recently opened up a set of 3 self-wash stations I can use if I can't get booked and Pepper really needs a bath.Looking forward to their play care facility when that opens because Austin definitely needs more indoor play spaces for dogs in this brutal Texas heat!If you're looking for a great place in North Austin to take your pet (they do cats too), I can't think of a better one.

We took our Labradoodle Sammie for her 1st groomer's appointment and we were happy to hear that it was a positive experience for her and pleased with her beautiful styling.At check in, we were greeted by her very friendly groomer. She lovingly and playfully took Sammie with her making me feel less anxious knowing that she would be in great hands.I called after a couple of hours to check in on Sammie, and the groomer took her time to chat real quick and reassured me that Sammie was doing great and would be finishing up soon.We will definitely be back!

I am beyond thrilled with the exceptional service provided by Mod Mutt Salon! The staff here are not just skilled but extraordinarily kind and responsive. They have created a haven of cleanliness and serenity which reflects well on the comfort my dog feels whenever we visit. My dog is particularly challenging to groom due to her age and double-coat, yet the experts at Mod Mutt manage to work their magic without ever having to shave her fur, which is nothing short of a miracle considering the state of her coat when we first visited.They exhibit an outstanding level of care and patience towards all dogs, making sure they look their absolute best while ensuring they remain at ease throughout the grooming process. The reasonable pricing is the cherry on top of a fantastic experience. I sincerely believe you are getting way more than what you pay for given the quality of work they do. There are some bad news groomers out there and I think Mod Mutt is good news. They're drowning in business. Be prepared to wait a month for an appointment. That said, our dog is excited to go and comes back without PTSD, so we're big fans.

This establishment started off strong. Unfortunately, it apparently grew too fast. I was a loyal customer for years until my shitzu pup had a paw injury and I was told he was a “Naughty” dog. I took him elsewhere and have had no issues since.2 years later a close friend also has had the same issue with the same establishment. I posted on your page, but you conveniently deleted it.This is not acceptable and people need to be aware that your technicians may or may not be equipped to handle dogs who need specialized care.

My small yorkie is not easy to groom, and he gave Lori a really tough time his first time getting groomed with her. Lori was extremely apologetic about the dogs seemingly harrowing experience and it was immediately apparent she genuinely cared about the animal and the services she provides. In fact, she did not charge me for his full groom, and offered this advice: try to habituate him to a single groomer, so that he acclimates--even if it's not us, just be sure to be consistent. I brought my dog back and Lori was once again great. He's still not easy to groom, but she did a great job with his cut and threw in his bath for free. A+ customer service.In addition, the salon space itself is lovely. Well appointed, spacious, and neat. I love the flexibility they offer in drop-off and pick-up times. Very happy to have found this salon.

Update: I change my 4-star review to a 5 because Mod Mutt impresses me more and more each time! Our puppy loves going to the groomer, as they are great with him and do things at his pace. We are all-around satisfied with our experience!

We took our dog honey to Mod mutt to get a hair cut and LOVED it! Honey has had groomers in the past that did not give her a great haircut, but our first time at mod mutt and they listened to all of our likings for our shih tzus haircut and crystal did amazing! We are so pleased with the cut and cannot wait to go back in the future!

What a friendly shop . Lori let my chihuahua get comfortable before starting her service. I dropped her off in the morning and they called me when she was done . Dazee was clean and happy. I highly recommend Mod Mutt for any pet . They do dogs and cats !

English Cocker Spaniel. I asked for a sport cut and to use a 10 blade on the top, blend it to the skirt. 1/2 the hair off his original cut. The skirt is not blended with the fringe on the sides of the body. Plus the top of the head is substantially larger than the top of the ears? This looks like they shaved the top and sides, cut half off the skirt, fringe, and leg area, and then called it a day. Looks rushed. Didn't take anytime to blend anything.
