From the moment you call to make an appointment you know you're in the right place. The entire staff is so friendly! Once we arrived, my baby was offered a treat and the groomer immediately came to greet us, asked specifics of what we wanted my fur baby to get done.Im glad I decided to stay and wait. It was so nice to see both groomers interact with the dogs in such loving way.Needless to say, this is the BEST GROOMING PLACE IN AUSTIN. And this lady from their Zilker park location did such a good job!!There is free parking in the front of the groomers and a convenience store next to it. The place also offers quality, natural foods for our doggies.Totally recommend it 👌🏽

Marbella did an amazing job grooming my mini Aussiedoodle Juniper! She is so cute and evenly cut. Hopefully feels cooler too! I wanted to go shorter because we are not Austin natives and are not used to this heat! Marbella gave Junie exactly the cut I was hoping for with the very little direction I gave.What stood out most to me was how visibly calm Junie was during and after her cut. Usually at other groomers Juniper would come back frantic and clearly distressed, but here Junie came out and greeted me just like she does when I come home from work.It took longer than other grooming sessions in the past and what that tells me is that they work with her level of comfort, and allow her to get comfortable and acclimated during each step of the process.Aside from that the general customer service from the front desk and staff is amazing. They are so sweet and happy to help answer questions about their products and whatever else you may be curious about to the store.Junie and I will DEFINITELY be regulars here not only for the chicken treats but also for the stellar treatment!

Barkin Creek is the best. The staff is super friendly, treats our dog so well, and takes haircuts and grooming very seriously.We have a poodle and like to come up with creative grooming styles. Both times we have gone to Barkin Creek they have stood up to the challenge and did a great job. HighlyRecommend!! We especially like Lea Anne Chadwick. She’s very talented and my pup loves her.

Barkin Creek is truly the best dog groomer in Austin! Our dog has anxiety and had so many bad experiences at other groomers in town. When we drop her off here, she prances happy as can be. There’s no dogs barking or howling like other groomers, so when we pick her up she’s relaxed and calm.The groomers take time to really talk to you about what you want from your service and do an excellent job every time.The owner Fitz is also a sweetheart. I love supporting local and LGBTQ owned businesses. We will be loyal customers for life!

Both my dogs are happy to go to Barkin' Creek for grooming, which shows they either have really good treats or they treat the dogs very well or both. I'm always happy with their grooming and the dogs come back smelling fresh and looking good. Also, another nice touch, the dogs don't come back with cut hair all over themselves.

Stephanie was absolutely amazing the best groomer we could ever ask for. We will definitely be going back 110%. If your dogs have any kind of anxiety or aggression while at the groomers we recommend Stephanie because she a dog whisper and knows exactly how to handle these situations.

Just picked up my little pup from her grooming appointment! She looks very cute, I like the hair cut she got. Typically with other places I find the cut is too buzzed and short, but this time she got a very well done proper summer trim. The staff was very kind, and even though my dog absolutely hates going to the groomer I can tell she had a positive time there. She did not come back with any cuts or scrapes, and she is behaving like normal at home. She is so smiley and happy now! I will definitely be making this location our regular groomer. Thanks guys!

Our usual groomer moved out of town and we were led to Rachel at Barkin Creek! She took both of our dogs on the same visit and did a beautiful job with both our 75 lb Golden Doodle and our 25 lb chi-pit-maltese potato dog. She listened to our requests, was clearly well liked by the dogs and and they look great! We'll be back for sure!

Great service! Nash always looks forward to his grooming appointments with Christopher. I have an 86lb doodle and it takes a lot of work. Christopher is very nice with dogs and is very knowledgeable.He knows how to give Nash the perfect doodle cut!He is also very helpful on giving you tips on how to keep up with daily brushing.Staff is very communicative when scheduling and location is great!Def recommend!

We had another top notch experience at Barkin’ Creek. Lea Anne Chadwick gave our standard poodle a “lion clip” and she did an exceptional job. She is always great with our pup and we appreciate her attention to detail! Friendly staff. Great selection of products and services. Easy booking experience. And great customer (and pet) service all around. Couldn’t recommend Barkin Creek enough. They do a really great job.

I recommend Barkin' Creek to quite literally everyone - specifically Lea Anne! I think all my friends and family have officially transitioned from their groomer to her ;) My sheepadoodle is 1.5 years old and I randomly chose Barkin' Creek for our first grooming ever and was placed with Lea Anne just based on the time slot that I chose. What a blessing, truly! We've been going to her for a year now and I'm just so grateful every time that I drop my boy off with her, as I know he is receiving a 10 star treatment filled with love and care. She hears all of my desires when it comes to his haircut while also giving her professional opinion, which is so appreciated. Highly, highly recommend her!

I found Barkin Creek after a bad grooming experience. We are still new customers - today was our third trip to the Zilker location. So far, we have been super appreciative of the attention and care shown to our little pups. We have two young chihuahua mixes that have a lot of energy! The focus on a fear-free environment is evident. I was so impressed by how calm my pups were when I came to pick them up. Michael was our groomer today and he was very gentle with my babies, was informative and attentive.

If you’re looking for THE BEST groomer in town, look no further! LeeAnne at Barkin Creek (Zilker location) has an outstanding dog grooming talent that cannot be topped! She has been giving my 2 year old Cavapoo his haircuts/grooming services since he was 6 months old, and without a doubt, she’s the best in her field of work. We are complimented all the time on our dog’s haircut and we’ve given out LeeAnne’s name to so many friends and total strangers alike! I have to give Barkin Creek 5 Stars on their other services too. The doggie day care at their S. Lamar St location does an amazing job as well. Our pup always comes home worn out, but he’s always wagging his tail to go back! I took my GSD, Athena, for her first groom here yesterday and they did such an amazing job with her!! Her hair cut is just how i wanted it and she smells SO GOOD. I did the full package groom and the price was very reasonable considering the time they spent with her and the results. Athena was a happy girl afterwards. The bandana and feathers they put on her were the cutest touch too. I will definitely bring her here from now on!!! :)

We were very lucky to find Barkin Creek shortly after moving to Austin. My dogs have had mixed responses to groomers in the past but they love coming here. You can tell the staff really loves dogs! Not only do my dogs come home looking great but they come home happy. Highly recommended!I can’t comment on their dog food- but I have purchased a dog friendly birthday cake here which my pups absolutely loved.

We took our 7 month old Shihpoo puppy for her first complete grooming here. I was greeted at the door by Rachel that could not be sweeter. I brought screenshots of what we were looking for. Rachel was extremely patient and attentive to what I was explaining. She shared specifics with me as well as what to expect which I appreciated. When we came back to pick up our pup she looked AMAZING. Rachel did everything exactly how we asked for. It’s been two weeks and we are still in awe what an amazing groomer she is. What’s even more important the pup greeted us happy and perfectly calm which can only mean she was well treated when groomed and waiting for pickup.TLDR: Rachel is amazing!

I have an older lab who has some anxiety and arthritis pain. When I picked him up from Barkin Creek at Zilker, he was incredibly relaxed and happy. He usually pants a lot due to pain and/or anxiety, but since spending the morning at the dog spa, the panting had decreased significantly. I would definitely recommend taking your pup here. Worth the extra money.

I MISS JUSTIN! Man Ive been needing to write him a review for years now! Ive recently moved to Dallas and I cant find a single groomer that matches his standards! He makes me want to come back to Austin just for a groom!My dog Wellington has awful anxiety. And when I say awful I mean Ive had people tell me he needs to be medicated. But my poor anxious schnauzer found a friend in Justin! Justin worked so hard to earn Wellington's trust that it got to the point Wellington would jump into Justin's arms for the very thing he hates the most----haircuts!So when I say I LOVE JUSTIN I seriously mean it. I seriously believe he's an animal whisperer! He's even made Wellington more easy on me when I give him baths at home!I still cant find anyone as special as Justin. And It makes me want to move back home. If that tells you anything make an appt N.O.W. You wont regret it I can guarantee!

Had a tremendous experience with the folks at this location. This was the first grooming experience for our pup post-TPlO surgery, and Justin took incredible care given his experience with dogs who need just a little extra attention. Highly recommend - reasonable pricing too!

We have a pom-chi & we used to take him to a different company for Grooming so we had to use the sub groomer who "mistakenly" shaved (literally) our pomchi & even our dog was not happy,we waited months for his hair to grow back,now w/ this texas heat we NEEDED to find a grooming company asap. Several places we visited but never got that good vibe we wanted for our dog. Finally we found BARKIN' CREEK (zilker location). We went in talked w/ actual groomer that was going to be the groomer who worked w/our dog & he listened & understood what we wanted, he also took time to talk to our dog & instantly gained our did trust.*HIS HAIRCUT IS AMAZING!! He got a full cut grooming bath mud bath with massage teeth brush plus I DEFINITELY recommend Barkin'creek
