I have 2 dogs that are a rare breed; Bouvier Des Flanders. Their hair is unique and so are their personalities. My big guy isn’t very friendly and he’s very cautious of people he doesn’t know. My little lady is super hyper and a big barker.In addition to all of that, both of my dogs had botched shave jobs when I brought them to Barkin Creek.Despite all of this, George took both of them and treated them so well. He actually groomed my girl first, and I was so happy I brought my guy in too. I was nervous about how my male dog would do but George was so kind, so good with my guy, and fixed the messes of the previous haircuts. My dogs had such a good experience and we will continue to come back for as long as George is there. He listens, takes time to understand what I want, and treats my dogs so well.The front staff is also super kind and the shop is always really clean.I don’t leave many Google reviews but it felt important for me to call out such great experiences. My dogs mean the world to me and I don’t just trust them with anyone. We’ll see George every 8 weeks for as long as we can!

I am so happy with the grooming that they do for my chocolate lab. He is elderly with arthritis and they always let him take a break and give him time. The de-shed is worth its weight in gold. Anyone with a lab knows the horror of shedding. Everything else about him make a spa day for him a pleasure that I love to give. Thank you Barkin' Creek.

Jorge has been our favorite groomer ever! He took a ton of time with our husky and made sure she had a great experience so that when we take her there next time, she does not associate getting groomed with a bad experience. Our husky is known to hate getting groomed and she’s a bit difficult. He did a great job with deshedding and trimming her hair. His attention to detail is impeccable! Melissa was also wonderful with our Yorkie. You won’t regret getting your furbaby groomed at Barkin creek. Excellent experience!

I had brought my dog all the way from Houston to be groomed at Barkin Creek at the domain, as our local groomer that is fantastic was on maternity leave. Nicole did a fantastic job of grooming Bentley Chew, and was able to fulfill all grooming request! I would highly recommend this facility and Nicole for your grooming needs! Well worth the 3 hour drive from Houston!!

HANNAH IS AMAZING!!!! I can always count on her to keep Patsy and her problematic nails/skin healthy and happy. Pugs are notoriously difficult, but Hannah makes it look so easy. She establishes such a nurturing relationship with all her fur-clients, and she is the only person in the world Patsy trusts with her beauty regimen…she doesn’t even let me do it!! Ask for Hannah every time if you want to make sure your dog is expertly handled with love!

I have been bringing my petite doodle Lola to Barkin Creek at the Domain for just over a year. We love our groomer, Nanci, so much! She is always so kind and gentle with Lola. You can tell she not only is very good at her job but she has a real passion for it. I never worry about Lola when I drop her off with Nanci. I am so happy we connected with her when we did. 💗🐾

We've been coming here to get our dog Tahoe groomed for almost a year. We were blessed that George was available that first time and he is our guy. He is so patient with and kind to our boy. He takes his time and listens to our requests. This location is also convenient for us and we love hanging out while we wait for our dog. They have great treats and provide samples. They also offer dog food, toys, beds, and apparel.

I took my both shih tzus today for a full grooming service and now BOTH have the RIGHT eye swollen, watery and red. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. It was $260 with tip (that now I regret) and now I have to take them to the vet. 😡😤

I adopted Nova from a rescue center where she had been dropped off as a stray. Her coat was in terrible, matted condition. Even after weeks of carefully dematting and brushing, her coat really needed work. I booked an appointment at Barkin’ Creek after I had heard great things. I wasn’t expecting her to look very different since they weren’t doing any trimming on the first appointment; just a basic wash and deshedding. Dropping her off was easy and they were very welcoming. They texted me when she was ready to pick up. The results were amazing. She looks and smells great and she seems to have really liked how she was treated during the process. I’ll definitely be going back and can’t recommend them enough. Worth every penny!

I absolutely love this Barkin’ creek! The energy from the people that work there are always so welcoming and genuine. My border collie and GSD have been getting groomed with George G. since they were a few months old and he is great! He is so nice and patient, and truly cares for our pups. 10/10 recommend!

Sadly, despite the friendly staff, we won’t be going here anymore. Our dog has had allergic reactions to fragrances in the past at other groomers, so we made a note on her file to never use fragrances or sprays on her. Not only did they spray her with a perfume (it smells amazing, but we can’t risk it), but they forgot to clean her ears. Fortunately there was not a huge allergic reaction this time, only a little reddening of her skin. For a $200 job, these sorts of oversights are unacceptable.

It was pure luck that we stumbled across Barkin’ Creek at the domain. We were only going in to buy dog cookies and met Nanci and started talking about standard poodles. We loved the way she groomed her poodle and decided to have her groom our Pride and Joy. We were amazed at the results in comparison to what we’ve experienced with other groomers. Nancy is so sweet and really listens to our requests. Joy looks fabulous each time she gets groomed! We are so happy to have found Nanci!!

Nanci does a fantastic job on my shitzu’s!! Bruno doesn’t do very well at the groomers but with Nanci he lets her do what she can with him. And I so appreciate that! She doesn’t stress him out at all. She is a magician! He has been kicked out multiple groomers in the past. She really works with your babies! Nanci makes Bruno and Daisy smell and look amazing!

OMG!! I'm sooooo glad to find this place!We took our first dog, Juno, 9 months old Goldendoodle to a different groomer and it was ok. We expected more and we thought it's time to upgrade and we hoped this place would be great.Especially for me, Juno is my first dog and she's everything for me so I was worried even though this place has high Google reviews but All staff and our groomer, Melinda were awesome! They were super friendly and when I met Melinda, I liked her instantly and felt professionalism in her. She has more than 25 years experience and asked me a couple of questions and I showed her an image of a dog probably just for 10 seconds.They called me to tell me that Juno's ears are matted and if it's ok to shave. I knew dematting is painful for a dog so I was fine with that and I really appreciated their call. 3.5 hours later, Juno came back to us with her new cut exactly like the picture I showed!! We're so satisfied with their amazing service!! We booked the next appointment with Melinda already!!Just one thing, after we got home, Juno threw up and we thought it was the treat from them while she was there. If it's ok to bring the treat she eats, I'd like to bring them if it's easier for them to do their service if not I totally understand.Juno is so fluffy and has cute afro now!!Thank you so so so so much for your amazing skill and service :-)!!

We have been using Barkin Creek for more than one year. The store is welcoming and clean, and the staff are all very friendly. Our dog Yuzu doesn't like being washed, but groomer Nanci Cardenas always takes great care of her. We have always been satisfied with her work. I also love the treats at Barkin Creek. Right from the get go this place is phenomenal. The groomer, the front desk. Everyone was so amazing. Buttons is 12 and she’s a sweet girl, but they went above and beyond to make sure she was taking care of! Omg. Hands down the most amazing experience!! Just had our second groom appointment with John and still loving how Brielle is coming home!❤️ Brielle was recovering from a bad haircut when she first met John, he was more than willing even her up and sent her home fluffy, round, and looking great. I can tell by our conversations and Brielle’s behavior at check ins and out that John really takes his time and cares for my poodle. I like that he’s willing to give honest feed back about her coat and the styles I want to do. We did a pre-vacation cut and I know Brielle is going to be the prettiest poodle on the beach😎

JOHN IS AMAZING!! My first experience with John was nothing short of terrific and very friendly and warm. I have a senior dog he is 13yrs and a 5 month old puppy. John cared for my older dog like he was his own. His attention to detail is super and now (our puppy just had his first groom with John) and they both came wagging their tags and just happy!!!John is magic with my dogs, we have been thru a lot with our older dog (skin issues, a few surgeries, allergies, etc).John had been so gentle with him and treats him with such TLC!!We look forward to taking our dogs to Barkin creek and seeing the staff at the Domain location!!

Great little store for your dogs. The make their own fresh dog food and healthy snacks. The prices are as good if not better than the big pet stores. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. You can also get your dog groomed here as well. This is my number one dog place in Austin.

I took my German shepherd in for his first experience at the groomers. Jake was extremely friendly, along with all the staff, and took great care of my dog. There wasn’t any unreasonable charges for having a large dog (~100lbs) and I ended up paying less than for what other groomers list online. Would recommend regardless of the negative comments.

We have been taking our Goldendoodle to Barkin Creek for over a year now and cannot say enough good things about them. Melissa does fantastic job grooming every time and Nole loves her. The staff is always so pleasant, helpful and truly care about our fur baby. If you want to pamper your dog take them to Barkin Creek you won’t regret it, and if you have a doodle ask for Melissa!

I can’t even express how much I love this place! I took my 10 month old goldendoodle there for the first time today and my groomer was amazing! Charlotte’s haircut was perfect and she was such a happy girl when I picked her up! The salon is beautiful, and two stories which is pretty awesome. They have a great selection of toys, treats, and anything else dog related that you can think of! Everyone there is very sweet and it was a great experience overall. I highly recommend taking your pups here!

How do I give 50 stars on here? They were so patient and kind with Kane the Doggo Argentino. He’s been spending time at the shelter (up for adoption!) and brought him in to get cleaned to to give him the best chance when meeting a potential family. They went above and beyond, he’s extra bright white and smells so good now. Kane knows it and has an extra spring in his step.Thank you!
