I’ve really enjoyed my experience in there since Cheleene started working there. She is so pleasant to chat with and makes the whole experience fun. I also have found so many treasures. It’s so cool that you can shop and support animals. It’s so heartwarming. I posted a pic of some of the treasure I got in their impromptu Easter sale! Thanks for being kind. I probably misspelled her name! 💜

Such a cool shop. Very organized. Lots of brand names, quality items and hidden gems. Could spend hours here just looking through everything there is. Even an appliance section and lots of miscellaneous gadgets.Who knows might find something you never knew you needed!In the name of pets, I’ll definitely be back💯

Found some really great finds yesterday and everything is extremely well priced. It was awesome finding some cool stuff while being able to support shelter animals. I hope to visit other locations as well someday.

The staff is so sweet and kind here! We came in during a rain storm, they helped us dry off and even gave us free shirts.The clothes are so cute and affordable. They have a wide selection of styles and sizes. They also have furniture and decor pieces.Your purchase goes towards helping pets in need. They have a chart on the wall that tells you how much your contribution will help.Can't wait to come back and shop again!

This place is great. They have amazing unique finds, and great everyday stuff too. I scored this vintage 1950's letter jacket, from Travis High School, as well as a vintage wool WW2 Nurse's Cape. My only complaint - they used to have a plus size rack, and now it's all mixed in. I'd really like them to bring it back, it's a bummer looking through racks of clothes and getting your hopes up in an attempt to find one thing that will maybe fit.

Small supply, high prices. Staff seems more interested in getting every penny out of customers than reselling free DONATED goods.Shoes are a mess, good luck finding your size! Got 3 times as much for half the price at Thrift Town.

The staff was lovely and I found a pair of shorts that fit just right for $3! Can't beat it. And the cute lil pup emoji is there for playful cuddles. Proceeds go to helping out animals, get around it 😊👌🏼

I had horrible customer service at the Oltorf location today. When I was ready to check out, the cashier guy didn't even acknowledge my presence, didn't even bother to make eye contact with me or even look at me at all and instead had his face buried in the computer making me feel like I was inconveniencing him, then when I was looking at the things right next to the cash register while I was waiting for somebody to actually help me at the cash register, he gave me attitude for no reason and rudely says to me he was going to put my stuff in a basket since "I wasn't ready to check out yet"... I used to like shopping it here now I will probably never come back to this location again because of the horrible customer service

This used to be the best thrift store in town; the prices are about triple what they used to be, and the selection isn't near as good. Used to come here for two hours and leave with twenty things for $60, now I come for fifteen minutes and leave with four things for $60. If it was just a thrift store, it would be 2 stars, but I do love that it supports the shelter. Sad that it isn't what it used to be, but it got a lot worse very quickly.

I love coming to the South Austin Pets Alive Thrift store as well! Occasionally they will bring in adoptable dogs to pet while you shop which is extra special. Their jewelry selection is great at this location and is also well organized. Definitely stop by!

This has to be one of the best thrift shops in Austin. South of the river in one of Austin's newest trending locations. Everything in this new shop is a find, because they sort threw the donations and pick out the gems. But even better than the gems is the price of them. Name brands, some new with tags still on them. Antiquities and other appliances. Jewelry and paintings. And the volunteer staff are the nicest, most helpful, welcoming, smiling with cheerful dispositions.

When I first came to this place I loved it and decided to go shopping there again.. Honestly I regret going there again.. I've never experienced so much unwelcoming, disrespect, uncomfortable, and how much they judged my friend and I both. To go to place I thought would help get my mind off medical problems... the way my friend and I were followed around and how we were stalked and hovered over was overboard because there was no reason for that when we had money to buy things there. When it lead to side comments made by two to three employees along with customers was uncalled for. An to go by how we dress was crossing the line..I may dress in ways of ripped jeans and vintage band shirt and Native American woman but that doesn't mean I'm homeless or someone to down grade like I'm not apart of this country...see What they failed to realize judging a book by its cover is allowing the eyes to be useless, leaving the mind blind. Returning to this place or telling anyone they should go is not even a thought but I will let ones who speak or ask about it, and let them know how they behave before they experience anything like that of how ill-advised these employees can be and act.

Excellent service from the volunteer staff! Wonderful selection of books today! I was hopeful for a APA! orange t-shirt but will have to come back once larger sizes that have been ordered, come in. Yay I found quite a few owls to add to my owl collection.🐶🐱🐕. This is by far my favorite place to donate my useable household goods that were taking up precious closet space. I will visit them again during the week. Today is Saturday so it was fantastically busy with shoppers. I am happy for them but as an introvert myself I rather come on the least busy day to browse. I will be back with a lot more boxes of donation soon.

I go to this wonderful store every week for new treasures. Especially love the one price per type of clothing eg all short sleeve shirts $3. Makes one happy to be getting a bah gan and also supporting our Austin pets. Go you’ll love it.

I stop to shop every time I drop off a donation. I always find a couple of gems to bring home at rock bottom prices. It's like an indoor garage sale! The store environment is very Austin and I often receive promotional emails from APA! Thrift for even greater savings. And knowing that all of the profits go towards Austin Pets Alive! is just a win-win for me!!

Usually enjoy coming to this store. We believe in the cause they support and we have always found something odd or quirky to bring home. Sunday was no different in what we found, however the service we had was hurtful. The older gentleman behind the counter got visibly upset when my wife changed her mind about purchasing the shorts she had chosen. He told her, not asked, but told her to put them back and proceeded to hand the shorts over. Confused, my wife went back to where she found them, all the while the man was watching her, and not ringing up my purchase in the mean time. After she came back, he then promptly put a hanger in her hand and said “now put them on the hanger”. At this point I should have walked away from the purchase, but as I’ve said, we know the cause is a good one. Understandably customers change their mind last minute, but we are customers, not employees. The interaction should have started with a hello to my wife and added in there a please somewhere. We will not be returning.

Great finds! Decent prices. It's a little small and product is everywhere, but if you are willing to sift through the product you can find real gems. They even have a boutique section!
