Shopping at Austin Pets Alive! not only gives you great finds at affordable prices but also supports a noble cause—proceeds go towards benefiting homeless animals.They sell donated items from women's/mens clothes and shoes, books, furniture, house wear, jewelry, hairstyling tools, pet bowls, pet harnesses/collars and much more.I spent most of my time at the women's clothing section; good selection of items for women's clothing: lots of athletisure, dresses, bags, shoes and even a section for wedding dresses! They separate boutique and regular clothes. Boutique items consist of brand names like Lululemon, outdoor voices, North face, etc. which are priced higher than regular items.They had 50% blue tag color the day I went, so i scored some gap active wear leggings for $3!Definitely recommend visiting if you love supporting animals, while finding a good bargain!

Amazing. This new thrift store has amazing finds. It is organized, clean, and supports a great cause --- Austin Pets Alive!. Great layout of the store (spacious!), friendly staff, and easy parking / donations. One of my favorite thrift stores in Austin!!

This is a nice store, with lovely workers and a wonderful cat. However it’s important to be aware that ALL CLOTHING SALES are final. There is no return policy easily findable on the website, also not a plus.

I was able to find some nice items from the store. A perfect spot to spend some time sifting through. Loved the music that was playing. The employees were really sweet. I really love thrifting and the fact that I can thrift while also support an animal shelter is amazing!

This store is infested with bugs - tried on a few dresses before noticing bugs crawling on the fabric and carpet of the dressing room. Ran out and now finding bugs all over me!!

My first time here and it was a great experience, you're definitely paying boutique prices for most of the things but I found quite a lot of things that made the price absolutely worth it. The atmosphere and especially the items for sale is top quality. Put everything on top of the fact that you're helping animals obtain the better life they deserve, a wonderful thrift store.

It’s so nice to shop here! The atmosphere is always nice, the employees are sweet and I always get the BEST things here, hands down. My favourite thrift store ever! Even the try-on rooms have cute lights in them that I utterly adore.

I thought this was a thrift store for animals. Second-hand bones, gently used litter boxes, etc. I was wrong. They have human clothing, shoes, and accessories. It's a small store so the selection isn't great but it serves its purpose. Terrible name, decent store.

The APA! Thrift stores are the best in Austin, and that's saying a lot. Your money also goes to the best and most honest and direct cause and is a substantial factor in keeping Austin "no kill". All three locations have boutique sections where you can find amazing clothes from high-end brands, as well as general clothing sections. Also: decor, shoes, jewelry, art, household items, books, pet supplies, art supplies and so much more.

This place is great! By far one the best Austin Pet's Alive in Austin since they have so much shopping space. I particularly enjoyed when the employees at the store took time to inform me about the philanthropic work APA does for pets in the shelter. It is so nice to know that the proceeds go directly to the shelter. I will go to visit this store more often now that I know that the items there are great and it is supporting a great cause.

APA is the only thrift store I feel comfortable going to, with safety regulations in place s/a occupancy restrictions, no dressing rooms (but you can return for store credit), sanitizer at front door and masks required. On top of all those necessities, there's a lot of great merchandise at super affordable prices! There's a good deal of "boutique" and vintage which is priced accordingly but still affordable. Lots of bags, shoes, kitchen and house wares, craft supplies and kids clothes. 10/10 would recommend & will be back!

This is Austin Pets Alive thrift’s 3rd and largest location and it does not disappoint! I love shopping here and always leave with something cool. The staff here is super nice they always seem to have a really good Lululemon and athleisure selection, as well as plenty of home goods and even furniture! And the prices can’t be beat. Remember the greater purpose when shopping here (it’s about the animals!) and leave a little extra $ at checkout, if you’re able. Be sure to follow them on social media & sign up for their email list so you’re in the loop about their AMAZING sales!

I really liked the store until they put a hex on me. I just maxed out my 3rd credit card this month because the spirits keep coercing me into coming to the store and buying more and more AND MORE! Very grateful for APA thrift. Great staff great selection.

I loved this thrift store. The manager was really helpful in helping me pick out clothes that were both in my size and flattering to me. The store was also really cute, very chic looking! Go here if you want a thrift experience!

Sweet people working here! Personable and helpful. Such a well organized store with good energy. Was so happy when they opened up near my house, but was nervous to go, due to pandemic. When I made the decision to go, I felt I was in a safe place with precaution at hand.

Great store, lots of clothes to sift through and a reasonable amount of home goods. Go for the shopping and helping the shelter animals. Just don't have high expectations for the staff's customer service skills.

Such a cute place!! I used to shop at pavement religiously, but now apa 51st is my favorite thrift shop in austin by farrrr! They always have amazing vintage finds and reasonably priced boutique clothing. <3

Love all locations. Each is different in its own way. The organization couldn't be more awesome too, with all proceeds going straight to the shelter. I've interned and volunteered with the shelter and they are legit. They work hard and walk the talk. I never shop at other thrift or vintage stores because these ones you just can't beat. Prices are usually below $10?! Actual vintage wear thats also usually in the $20s.This location has wider selection of housewear.Oltorf i've found better apparel, mens and vintage at.Burnet has a little bit of everything but haven't had too much luck in mens section lately.

The donors in this community are amazing and that makes this location so great! I’ve seen dogs, cats in strollers and even some pet mice visit the store. It’s for everyone.
