Dr. Dodds is a fantastic veterinarian, and what is even better is that, in my experience, all the services I have received are very reasonably priced, which makes The Ark & Dr. Dodd a tremendous value.Let me give you an example: I take my little dogs to the ark for bath & brush every two weeks. One dog (<20 lbs) is $15, and my slightly bigger pup is $18. They do a great job & it is much less than Petsmart, where I used to pay around $105. I am very grateful for the wonderful care my pups receive at the Ark. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Dr. Dodd and his team are amazing! We've been in 4 times and the care and service exceeded expectations each time. We just picked up our kitten that was attacked and once again I was blown away from the care, cost, and attention we were given every single day he was there. Dr. Dodd and team saved his life and went above and beyond. The beautiful person that checked us out gave me the cost and asked if the look on my face was good or bad. I answered very good and very amazed. She said we like to keep things affordable and she is so right! Dr. Dodd himself called me every day with an update. You can not get better care than that.

Dr. Dodd and his fellow professionals are as good as you can ask for! My hound got hit by a car, and Dr. Dodd was looking at him within 15 minutes of my call to the clinic.They are extremely compassionate, professional, and thorough. I had picked up Rosie, my little baby but mom's dachshund, from daycare. They informed me of a bite, swollen foot, fever, and chills. I immediately drove her to her vet, Dr. Mike, without an appointment. They immediately got her chart, took us to a room for triage, and Dr. Mike came in to let me know her treatment. He was gone with her for two minutes and returned her with instructions. Everyone was super kind and friendly. We both left very happy!

Where do I start! DR.Dodd & the Ark staff- ( 98.44%) are soooo wonderful & caring professionals! They have treated several of the dogs from my rescue- he is spot on and I haven't come back to a dead dog. Which is huge for me! In fact, Dr. Dodd has healed a few dogs that caught a highly contagious disease from another vet while boarding there.(in Dangerfield) He also prevented a serious complication from a major mis - diagnosis (also dangerfield) rendering the rescue pup 100% blind. So, I do recommend the Ark Animal Hospital, bc I have no doubt that had I taken this pup there from the start, she probably would still have her eyesight . I leave a pup with Dr. DODD with confidence & assurity.

Dr. Dodd, as usual, SAVED THE DAY!! We are active duty military and always at the mercy of everyone for emergency situations. Our dog was snake bit right on the face, we were absolutely panicked . The Ark emergency line operator was calm cool and collected, allowed me to explain the situation. The operator let me know that Dr Dodd would review the incident and determine if we could be seen. At least knowing I would get a call back is huge for me, so thank you so much for informing me! Our dog Riley was seen within minutes of arriving. I’m absolutely grateful for your operator and Dr Dodd, thank y’all from the bottom of my heart.

Best vet ever. We take our 2 dogs, Ridgeback and Golden Retriever. Also, 3 cats. My inlaws also take their dog and cat. You can't go wrong with using them. They also have great boarding. Out Golden retriever was treated for a serious case of heart worms. Dr. Jackson saved him.

I lost my bestfriend and child of 13 years when my pup dog Lucky passed this last Friday night. I can't express enough how caring, concerned and compassionate Dr. Dodd was through the whole few weeks of Lucky being sick. I called the after hours line too many times to count, and not one time did Dr.Dodd not leave his home and make a special trip to the clinic to either see Lucky or give me meds for him. He sat and listened to me cry like a baby on the phone when by all means he should have hung up. I can't express my gratitude enough for the comfort he gave me during literally the hardest thing I've ever had to endure with an animal in my life. Thank you Dr. Dodd. It meant the world to me to know someone understood my love for Lucky and cared as much as you. I will NEVER forget that.

Have been trading with Dr Dodd and his staff for close to 10 years now. A few years back when one of our Chihuahuas got stung on the nose by a brown scorpion around 9 pm on a Sunday night I called his answering service. He returned my call within 5 minutes. The little dog's sinuses were closing up fast. He asked me if I happened to have two particular items in the medicine cabinet, which I did; and then told me how to administer them. He called me back a few minutes later to check on the dog's status; and by that time she was visibly and physically doing much better (along with the wife). He also gave us a follow up call the next day. Dr Dodd is a valuable asset and we are very blessed to have him in the area.

This is not my normal vet, but my vet is closed due to it being a Saturday. I called because my 4 month old German shepherd is sick and throwing up white foam. They lady I spoke to acted like she didn’t care, and wouldn’t let me bring her in, claiming they are overbooked. Which may be the case, however your job is to care for pets, and all you can tell me is to call mine Monday!? What happens if she don’t make it till Monday?? I will NEVER bring my fur babies to this vet clinic!

The entire staff is excellent with my big girl (she's a Great Dane). They always make both of us feel comfortable whenever we have to visit. They keep informed about what is going on, what they recommend, and how much it will cost. Even though I have moved to Decatur, I cannot think of bringing Katie anywhere else.

Dr. Golden seems really good as a vet and Meme is a wonderful tech with our dog. Mindy and Danny are great administrative people and Davis in boarding makes our dog so comfortable. We adopted our dog after he was abandoned at this same boarding place and he is still terrified when I take him to boarding or the vet, but these people make it so much better for him. Its taken years, but he is finally able to go in and then calm down. They make a big effort with him and always very sweet and nice to deal with.

I can not say how thankful I am!! When almost all the vet clinics in Texarkana were either closed or couldn’t see our dog the Ark Veterinary was able to see us right away. Our poor Coco got a deep cut on her side and they got her into surgery right away. They took such wonderful care of her. The stuff was so helpful and so so kind. Will be taking my pets here from now on. And I must add that they super affordable.

Dr. Dodd has been a puppy saver. Our Doberman had 14 puppies. Two of them were very premature and had to be fed by intubation. Without his caring and professional instruction, they would not have lived. He was available day and night when we needed help. He always called us back. Our miracle babies are 3 weeks old today.
