Much larger than our store in Kaufman. Seemed well stocked. They were trying to keep clean and tidy. Nice bakery selection. Only downside was most of the self checkout options were closed. Regardless, the cashier was nice.

Lillie in the deli part was wonderful and so friendly!! She was informative and patient with me while i made my selections. Employees like her make you want to come back again and again.She deserves a raise!

Love Love Love the prices and selection and I couldn't see shopping anywhere else! I am so thankful that Walmart is only a half of a mile away from our house! So convenient for us and we love the layout of the store! 😀

3 of the last 4 gallons of milk we have purchased from this Walmart have gone sour before the date marked on the carton. All of them at least a week before the date. We have called the dairy department to inform them of the issue and they never get back to us. We are mostly concerned that their storage of the dairy items may be malfunctioning or something of that matter but nothing has been done. We have doubled checked our refrigerator to make sure it is not the issue and nothing else has soured sans the milk from Walmart. We ended up going across town to Piggly Wiggly to get our milk.

always busy which isn’t the problem never enough electric chair’s or on some day enough product, then the store greeter will sometimes and Im not a racist person will let all the people of color go through and stop the whites? They have the market where they want here but come on fill your shelves get more electric chairs……

Really don't understand why the person working the front door has to see my receipt because I can't put large items in the bags. But it's my favorite store for cat food and litter.

I actually came here because my local Walmart was closed, the employees were very friendly and the store was well stocked, with a better selection than I am used to, I applaud management everyone was pleasant.

Hey Walmart, hire people to be cashiers, just like you've done before. THEN you will have more sales, and less theft. Moreover, your additional employees will ALSO be your customers, buying things before going home.

In the past few months I've gone to this store multiple times and they where out of the thing I needed. Once or twice is understandable. Out of things like milk and eggs is poor management. Tonight I went in for T50 staples. Online it says available for pickup. In the store, empty shelves. It's not that they just didn't have the kind I needed. They were out of staples period. All types and sizes. In fact about a quarter of one of the hardware isles was empty. I'm attaching pictures because it's just that crazy. That being said, pick any isle in any department and it's about the same. It's been bad for years but it's only getting worse. How do other Walmart stores manage to keep their shelves stocked, but Athens can't? Please send inventory to the Athens Walmart. They need it desperately.

This walmart grocery section is always out of so much. I'm having to go to another grocery store to get what this store doesn't have. Also, for some reason, they are now pre-packaging the peppers (jalapeños, serranos, etc.), and it makes them less fresh. They need to go back to allowing the customers to pick the peppers themselves.

Gun Barrel Walmart is always dirty, and can’t get down the isles… Never can find things and seems like things are always under the wrong price tags… gets frustrating!!

Put in my grocery order this morning, came by after work to get it and I've been sitting here for an HOUR waiting! I've called 3 times and checked in on the app twice and got told that since an employee "forgot" to check me in, they have to go in order. Extremely annoyed!!

TYLER THE IT GUY!A++++We were having a horrible issue with trying to purchase a bounce house.. it was not pulling up in their system.. no one could figure it out ..Out of NO WHERE , TYLER APPEARS.Long story is now short, because Tyler came and immediately began investigating the cause, and addressed the issue..! He did this swiftly & even happily did my price match.. & even lowered the price slightly because of the headache of the workers before him.He was Kind & confident, & treated me with Humanity & patience.Any questions I had, or small talk- he answered me like we were both friends & not worker/shopper.Leaving the store I felt heard, & like his happy nature rubbed off on me lol!10/10.He needs a raise, or a promotion.!Thank you Tyler ! Kids had fun on their waterslide bounce house the same day!

Even the vendors hate delivering to this store,it's that bad,note.the door greeters are the absolute best,maybe Walmart should promote them, HAY!!!!Walmart pay people more money, (Athens needs more money for the best people at Walmart),The most valuable asset in your store is your cashier's they are the realSTAR'S, They help customers, prevent theft,hunt down prices, the list goes on and on, see I am not negative I just want Bentonville to refresh management,csm , and there customer service manager and get off the cheep wages,love Walmart,13 seniors waiting in line one lonely cashier so sad so very 😔 😟, Update:Walmart manager said he would discuss why all those csm are up front and only one cashier, I was so afraid that one of the elders were. Going to pass out from exhausting line waiting, then Walmart would really have problems, our seniors should not suffer at the hand of lazy people, Local community leaders need to set down and discuss this pathetic behavior with Walmart,pS,photo never lie

I just moved back to the area from Houston. I’ve been up there for seven years. It’s so refreshing when I come up here to visit and like I say now I’m moving back up here but it’s always refreshing at how polite and courteous people are here in East Texas compared to Houston And Walmart is the same. The stores are clean. The people are friendly better all the way around.

Most of the staff are really helpful. The self checkouts will think your stealing your phone or wallet if they pass under the camera. Jts kinda funny to me the appp is the best way to find what your looking for stuff is always being moved love that they are redoing the parking lot store is looking great

Had almost everything we needed on our trip w good prices! I went for prescriptions for the 1st time here and the prices were great! It's my new pharmacy now! Pharmacy is still great, friendly helpful people there!

I'm only giving 3 stars because some of the workers there are really nice and we enjoy talking with them.Now the downside of this location is they're probably understaffed because I rarely can get ahold of anyone in store over the phone. Also they tend to have a small selection of items or completely put of stock constantly. Also unfortunately the in stock feature is sometimes unreliable. Of course we will continue to shop here as its our local Walmart but it still leaves much to be desired!I wish I could list the names of all the awesome workers though!**Had to update**Probably the worst walmart we've had to shop at. Yes still there are like 1 or 2 okay workers but all the great ones from before are no longer there.This location doesn't uphold policies and are rude. They also make it near impossible to shop in the evening by crowding the, already smaller, aisles with boxes. You can barely get around without breaking your neck or a product. And honestly they don't care if you have to use the handicap carts because those sure can't fit around their mess majority of the time.
